Discombobulated at Somerdale Pavilion - "The Curly Wurly parkrun"

Today was a special achievement in my parkrun tourism journey, achieveing 100 different locations or my "Cowell". I'd asked for recommendations for somewhere special to un and one of the top suggestions was Somerdale Pavilion parkrun, otherwise known as "The Curly Wurly parkrun".
It was a great recommendation. The course is completely bonkers and utterly fabulous. I'm still not quite sure how it worked, but it did and we had a fabulous time running it. The volunteer team were lovely and we even got to do token sorting after while ejoying a good fry up in the cafe at the park.
Then a gentle drive home, stopping off and exploring places on the way.
A fabulous day out and a great course to complete my 100 locations at.

Way back in the distant past - I was on the team that designed, built and operated the actual Somerdale CurlyWurly making plant - when the parkrun started we met for breakfast (only two of us did the run though)

Yup! You get to enjoy it over and over 😀 but it is at its craziest in the first lap when you have the most runners on it simultaneously.

Glad you enjoyed it. We ran it in the summer when the grass was longer. It looked quite hard to follow with short grass but you obviously managed it. Congratulations on joining the Cowell Club. Four more for me 😊
