may i ask what were the instruments being played during the parade? and what was the oiran wearing as a head ornament? thank you!
unfortunately I don't know the answers to your questions. The music was pre-recorded and played on speakers so there was no live music performance with instruments. If you google oiran head ornament, you'll probably find some information about it. I think Only in Japan on youtube also made a video about Oirans, you might some more information there.

@@ruriko6690 I may be wrong but I think one of the instruments is a shamisen. The head ornaments are called kanzashi, they use lots of them. The orian kanzashi is much more elaborate then Geisha kanzashi

hiya, no idea what her name is. I don't understand much Japanese but maybe they did announce her name over the speakers but I was busy looking for a place to stand and film the parade. oh wait, I think the guy in front of the parade announces her name I think. would need to watch the video again.

yes, it's part of an Edo Period Theme Park called Edo Wonderland. Think of it like a Disneyland that has an Edo Period theme to it but instead of cartoon characters, the staff are dressed as ninjas, samurais and other traditional japanese clothing.
