Jamie dont give up on the inflatable! U gotta kinda dig your inside hip in to get the rail to set, its different than a boogie board, but its sooo good when you get it. You said it was fast, but once you get that rail set it really takes off!

They did not pull up the large boulders and place them back on the jetty where the impact zone had cause them to slide down. This changed the dynamics of the wave. Sine then it has never had the same energy. Frontslider.

Jamie I dont know the details of your surgery but I've had 2 separate ones...one ACL + meniscus....and a later one only meniscus. The fact that you are hopping around and doing this it's insane....good luck!
South Africa has two amazing wedges... The one is in the Bluff in Durban KwaZulu-Natal in the old naval base on the other side of the Harbour entrance and the other is in Cape Town Milnerton which is not that wedgy🤣
Jamie, Hubb has an inflatable bodyboard. You should def check them out, maybe get your own catch a surf model. They are pretty rad. They aren't like the surf mat..
The place for that raft is across the channel. But it take 1/2 hour to get there by car. I would say swim over but that's frowned upon. Tina size waves when it's big at Wedge.
lol speaking about losing fins. one summer i was down at t street on a good size swell. lost one of my fins, and while i was searching around on the inside i found a fin but it wasn't mine. since the waves were pumping i said screw it and put on the fin i found. paddled back out and like 20 mins later i was paddling next to some guy and noticed he had one fin that was the same brand as the one i found and one fin that was the brand i wear. asked him if he lost a fin and we swapped back. was pretty psyched as losing fins sucks since they're $40-50 each time you lose them

The Wedge is nutz. They set up that jetty because the channel there used to eat boats. They didn't know the awesomeness they were going to create.
Try the mat with 30% less air. It needs to be pliable so it can find and follow the wave contours.
