I agree with you on everything. I shot 147gr with mine and it felt like I was shooting 115gr but I 147 is not something I normally use unless I’m shooting suppressed. Liked it a lot but the wow factor went away 😂 it’s not a must but if you have the extra cash sure. If not, you don’t need it
@@zacharynelson3750 it’s okay. I don’t think it makes quite as much difference as the 19 sized one does. It also just feels a little clunky and awkward to me. I ended up buying a second 47 and getting it ported.
Depends on the ammo you should and for what purpose. Have you added a weapon light as well? (I run the ramjet/tlr 1) -- The spring on the gen5 gloc19 works with light hand loads as well as 147 HST +p. Zero malfunctions in 2k rounds atm
Nice! I don't remember if I covered it completely, but when I was mentioning times, I was mostly talking about G17/47 vs 45 w/ramjet being equal. To be truly fair to the system I should have compared it to stock 45. In that case I do feel like I could take a little bit of time off with it.
Didn’t work for me personally. I used to interfere with slide stop so I bought one, but I ended up changing my grip fundamentally so it was really more of a hindrance one I got my grip figured out. I’ve seen some people love them and others induce stoppages with them constantly.
I think it is the nicest and most practical of the comps out there, but the price is definitely steep. For that reason alone, I am hesitant to buy one. I think I would rather get more ammo.
I like the 45 better for a duty/home defense/competition role for sure but the 19 is pretty great as well. Aside from what I carry at work I never leave the house without my 19. I have a 19.5 review video explaining how I feel about the 19 if you’re interested.
It did alright but I actually ended up taking it off and going back to stock with an apex connector. The difference seemed less extreme the more I shot it and I didn’t really like the idea of needing to clean and lube it to keep it running.
Might be yours is just a bit tight on the fitment. Hopefully it’ll break in a bit, mine is 100 percent reliable with all stock springs and decently warm 124 gr ammo.
You would be amazed with what adrenaline does to the body. The noise is a moot point if you actually have to use it in one of those situations. Once the adrenaline kicks your body focuses your senses where they are needed most.
Not true. Communicating after a situation is imperative. It’s tough to hear through the ring after a normal gunshot, especially inside with a compensator making it twice as bad
I really couldn't notice any less recoil from the comp, I did notice a reduction in muzzle rise, leading to a better return to zero, and faster splits.
Expensive yes! But if it helps you in anyway to become a better shooter or confidence on hitting a target then it’s for you?! Or save and get a competition race gun. For Glock fan boys and aesthetics it’s a bad mofo!
It’s more about the performance difference for the price you pay rather than me thinking the price is unfair on this. Though I’m sure it could be sold cheaper. Radian is proud of their stuff (and it still sells, so good for them).
Great review! Lots of outside the box thinking points covered, like defensive shooting hearing. Great job!

Nice honest and fair review
Great honest review
Awesome review! what beavertail is that one ? looks like it gives a better grip angle
It’s the medium beaver tail backstrap that comes with Gen 4&5 Glocks (plus grip tape).
Awesome. No bs review. 👌
I heard that the ejection is weak but you can get them for around the 320 dollar range if you use all the coupins.
My ejection has been fine but I only shoot medium to full power 124gr loads.
just lower your recoil spring weight and it will make the ejection proper again for that ammo.
I agree with you also man bought this 3 weeks ago and it was not worth it.
great vid, ty
What magwell are you running? Do you have the back strap on your gun?
SLR magwell. And yes I have a backstrap on it. Had to dremel it out a bit for it to work with the magwell.
@@MagDumpGuns I see, thanks for the info.
This was really well done. Now you need to join the 17/47 Ramjet+Afterburner club!
@@zacharynelson3750 I did! Probably will be selling it though
You didn’t enjoy it on the 17/47? I’ve got one coming in the mail this week or next. Got a brand new one for $325 shipped.

@@MagDumpGunsdid you have someone mill the barrel and slide? Or what did you use? How do you like it?

Should be dropping a video here pretty soon but I do like it quite a bit.
I like the concept. I have sig xmacro. To be honest, I would spend the money on ammunition if I did it again.
What magwell are you using here? The set up looks sick.
Thanks! It’s an SLR magwell.
How did you fit the magwell on with the backstrap...Can't tell if you took off the bottom portion of the backstrap
@@Gonepostal28 they work with backstraps
whats the footprint argument matter when the light is the footprint of a 34L lol
I don’t like the extra length on a comp so I bought a Glock Store super heavy tungsten guide rod. I like it a lot.

Good video bro. Solid review
4:30 The ramjet took 0.2 seconds off my 6 rack clearing. I can get to a 2.6sec to clear a 6 rack atm. (was at 2.8 with standard barrel)

How you feel about kagwerks slide stop
Didn’t work for me personally. I used to interfere with slide stop so I bought one, but I ended up changing my grip fundamentally so it was really more of a hindrance one I got my grip figured out. I’ve seen some people love them and others induce stoppages with them constantly.
To me, comps are felt when you raise the grain. The more the weight, the more you feel the difference; a more extended slide doesn't do that.
I think it is the nicest and most practical of the comps out there, but the price is definitely steep. For that reason alone, I am hesitant to buy one. I think I would rather get more ammo.
What plate are you using for the eps? And are those Ameriglo 455s or which ones?
Ameriglo GL429. Cheap Amazon DPP plate for the EPS, working well so far though.
Freind using stock spring has feeding ussues with 115
I don’t like Glock but this makes me want a Glock. Is the 45 better than the 19?

What kind of grip tape is that?

How is your glock performance trigger performing ?
It did alright but I actually ended up taking it off and going back to stock with an apex connector. The difference seemed less extreme the more I shot it and I didn’t really like the idea of needing to clean and lube it to keep it running.
@MagDumpGuns yea that's what I'm noticing it needs more maintenance
Were you able to continue to use the same holster?
All my safariland holsters are g17 or g34 length so no issues there. In my T1C G19 holster it fits fine but sticks out the bottom a little bit.
Mine jams every time I rack the first round, once I slam it in there it only Jams a few times here and there each trip to the range
Might be yours is just a bit tight on the fitment. Hopefully it’ll break in a bit, mine is 100 percent reliable with all stock springs and decently warm 124 gr ammo.
That sucks

Wait…$250?
I really couldn't notice any less recoil from the comp, I did notice a reduction in muzzle rise, leading to a better return to zero, and faster splits.
Muzzle rise is a form of recoil dip shit
you need to dremel under that trigger well. =) glocks have the best grip module to shape with dremel, soldering iron and JB Weld.
It going down in Suburbia.
No offense but if you're equating a comp to grip tape you're probably not good enough at shooting for the difference to be significant to you
Yes grip tape definitely can shave off seconds from doing timed shootings but for seldom defense distance would agree
Expensive yes! But if it helps you in anyway to become a better shooter or confidence on hitting a target then it’s for you?! Or save and get a competition race gun. For Glock fan boys and aesthetics it’s a bad mofo!
For me to get this with a g19x looking at $1300 nah
You mentioned 350 was too much. I guess you don’t understand all the work in building one of them in the machine and what all is involved

my reason for not buying this is the weight addition
Its way over priced
Not really it was worth every penny
