I don’t blame you for having a little too much yarn. 😉 This is a great idea to have a eBay auction. I hope you and Cody get a ton of money to help with his car.
Morning Glenda and Cody. I am a yarn hoarder as well. Before moving to Texas, had around 40 milk crates full along with 4 big totes full. Good luck with the auction.
I can definitely relate to "suddenly" realizing one has way too much yarn. Great idea to sell for Cody's vehicle and for the channel. I'll take a look, but honestly I should be doing the same. Best of luck!
👋Morning ☺ Good luck on your auctions❣ You are not a yarn hoarder-it’s yarn lover 🥰 We are with you. My husband told me that he would rather me love yarn than expensive handbags 👜 🤭Plus it’s useful and he loves that some projects go to charity ☺ Anyway, good luck to everyone and ya, shipping is hard for real! Also, it’s really kind of you to use boxes and not bags -it protects the yarn so that is worth it ☺ You guys are so kind to explain it. I hope no one complains 😘
I have enjoyed your videos for about 7 years I was just learning I made the stitch of week book thank you for making it possible love it So sorry about Cody’s car. He has been so hopeful to you . Hope he can get a car so nice you want to help what you can I’m also on SS# thanks again for your channel
Just another idea - when I was on Facebook - I loved the Marketplace. I sold many things locally before we moved from Ohio to Florida - it was a quick way to downsize.
Wishing you all the best with this Glenda. So nice as a grandma of you to help out your grandson! I’d love to participate but I’m overrun with yarn myself, lol. I prefer to call myself a yarn collector, not a hoarder, lol. Time for me to start giving some away. 😊
Hi Glenda & Cody. Oh the lucky people who win the bids on Ebay for the items being sold from the studio. I am sadly one who lives thousands of miles from you & can't bid. 😢 I hope enough will be raised to help w/ Cody's car issue. 🤞 Looking forward to your next video. ❤️
I would so love to bid and support Cody. However, I live all the way out in Washington State, the shipping would be crazy expensive. However, I love seeing all your excess yarn because I have a mountain of yarn, and now I feel better about it. Other people have as much or more yarn than I do. I have yarn stacked well over my head. I have to stand on a step stool to reach it and take the boxes down.
Oh wow, such a shame I can’t bid from Australia, soooo many different yarns I would love to try!! Good luck guys, I’m sure it will be super successful ❤
I wish I could bid on these. I saw one lot I’d love to have it was at $31.50, but the shipping would’ve been over $55 to Arizona. 😢 I wish I lived closer! You guys on the East Coast are going to get a deal!
You are so right about shipping. I send stuff to my family in Wisconsin by USPS. Employees even recommended sending a couple smaller boxes may be cheaper than a single bigger box
Good afternoon Glenda and Cody I cannot wait to see and hear all about your cleaning out your studio and the auctions that are going to happen to help Cody truck 🚙?
It's not denial. It's out of sight, in plastic bins in areas I can't access myself. So when I need more, I order it. Sometimes from inside my house sometimes online. 😂❤
Hello, Nice of you to do this. I miss out on all because I am always working, I even can't see your live chats, but I watch all when I get home every night. I love your videos so mush, so much fun.
I love yarn too🥰, but in order to buy more I need to get rid of some😅Put them in the vacuum bags & you can get more in the box. I was told this by the post office clerk.
"Its called denial Grandma" I love it. Glenda when i was going thru stuff to move back home every corner i attacked i found more and more yarn. Lol i literally have it all to my friend Traci. I had little time and even less energy and ability to try and sell it.
If you aren’t in the US you won’t be able to see them at all incase anyone was wondering. It also has come to my attention some folks are having trouble sadly there is nothing I can do to help or fix these issues i recommended trying again later. It’s an eBay issue.
Unless you organize your yarn at the time you buy it, you lose track of what you have, I used to buy yarn for projects and put in containers with other craft stuff and of course the projects never got done, and one day I decided to organize all my craft stuff and I realized I had 4 -18 gallon containers of yarn, I didn't think I had that much and crocheting isn't my business or anything just something I like to do. I bought one of those wire mesh storage cubes and put all my yarn together in small clear plastic bins and put in the cubes (I have to use containers as I have dogs and their hair gets everywhere) now I can see what I have, does it stop me from buying more yarn NO! I'm retired now so I'm going to start to use up the yarn for hats and baby blankets and donate to charities.
I’m the same way. I’ll be moving to FL and now I have to go through my fabric and yarn to see what I definitely need vs don’t need (I donate fabric and yarn to a local craft place) But then I keep buying fancy hand dyed yarn 😂
I have yarn in totes so the pets can't get into it😂. I'm working on shades of purple afghan(orchid, pale plum, medium purple and dark orchid). I'm on skein 7 12 rows of each color I believe it's 250+stitches wide using a 4.25 crochet hook. I ended up buying 3 more of each although I still have a tote full of those colors😂😂. I did notice a couple colors were off shade so making sure they are all close enough. However I have some yarn that is quite old so I guess I'm a hoarder as well🤷
I appreciate the giveaways as i can't afford to buy yarn as im on a fixed income. It's niice to have a chance with the giveaways. I think it's great you are doing ebay.
You made me laugh out loud when you said 'you are a yarn channel so I'm going to have yarn", I laughed because I don't have a yarn channel but I do have a LOT of yarn, three 11 feet walls eight feet high of yarn, yes I to love yarn, LOL. Merry Christmas, HO, HO, HO🎄🎅🏼🎄
Good evening. I love seeing all of your videos; super educational, learning loads. Your generosity ❤ is priceless and inspirational. True on the shipping for the west coast; I tried to purchase some items and shipping was atrocious 😮. Will try again since I saved some money.
I went to bid on a few things. Hate the shipping. Your going to have a lot of bidders. I’ve tried and I get some one to out bid me 39.00 is rediculous for 5 yarns
Glenda darlin, the postal workers at my local post office told me that the USPS raised shipping costs for the holidays and they will go back down in mid-January.
Great way to help Cody...I just went on EBay can't bring any of the items up... just keeps showing an error message, can't display the server right now 🤔
I have a lot of yarn too. I had 2 totes of doily thread that I am making ornament size cornucopias to hang in the Christmas tree to put candy in. I plan on selling them next Christmas. After it's gone I plan on working on the regular yarn. Make some amigaromi characters or something else.
Aww .I checked out the auction.wish you had done this 2 days ago.i just spent my only 20bux for the month .I would have totally bought something from your sale.sry
Hi Glenda and Cody - love your videos - thanks for sharing! Gosh, so nice of you to help Cody with the car issue (where's the parents??), plus it gets rid of your "stash" of yarn .. no one said it's hoarding .. it is your tools of the trade! :-) (don't have to answer this as it's none of my biz, but didn't Cody's insurance help cover the deer accident?? That's what insurance is for! yikes! My son's car was totaled when a deer hit him, it was scary as he was on his way home from his senior prom - just glad no one was hurt - a few bumps but could have been so much worse!) Good luck on the auction, hope it all works out! :-)
This video to let you know the yarn auctions are LIVE on ebay.
Here is the Link to the auctions: www.ebay.com/usr/cashcody69
You can vacuum the bags too. Then just twist top and tape to keep air out
You’re an amazing grandma for helping Cody and I wish you both all the best raising the funds to get him on the road again!
I also love the way you store your wool in the cubes in full view for your next projects
Good morning, Glenda and Cody. I wish you much success in your auction.
I’m the high bidder on one lot!! 🎉 ❤🤞🏼
Well, that didn’t last long. 😫
I went through my yard about 8 months ago and donated to a church that makes afghans for nursing homes

Love it. Admitting your yarn hoarding is the first step. ROFL
Good morning Ms Glenda and Mr Cody. Good luck with your sale.

“It’s called denial” 🤣 CODY
I know I'm a yarn hoarder. But the time is coming to go through all of it.
I too love my yarn. My mom once said are you starting a store...lol
Good luck with your sale.

I can't find the link to your auctions, please help...
@ it should be in the video description I can’t put links try googling cashcody69 eBay
Best of luck on your auctions! I have already placed bids on a few items!
Have you considered using vacuum bags to put the yarn in, before boxing them? A few of the UK ebay, yarn sellers use them xx
Thanks for protecting the yarn with plastic bags.
Good luck with the auctions ❤❤.
Cody don’t make your grandma pay for your car. Don’t you have insurance or parents that can help. Let grandma and grandpa keep there money

Yay holiday giveaways 2024 🎉❤
I appreciate the giveaways as i can't afford to buy yarn as im on a fixed income. It's niice to have a chance with the giveaways. I think it's great you are doing ebay.
If you vacuum seal them it will save a ton of space ie less shipping cost.
Good luck with the auctions. ❤ 🤞🤞
What a great idea. So far the combined bids are at almost $2200!!!

Not to mention. Cody got some pretty large donations during one of their live videos from some very generous folks.
