I felt in love with this weapon for the fast paced action that it allows. You can drop targets extremelly fast if you are accurate so it pushes me to improve my accuracy. I even perform better with other classes after playing with the Tomoe.
The Headshot damage multiplier is x2.5 and not x3 like mentionned in the video.

That bit at the end with the MAX slowly inching towards you when trapped - shiiiiit that's like some sort of nightmare lol
I'm glad you uploaded this! Tons of folks complaining the tomoe is poor due to low bodyshot dps, my response has always been, "so you can't aim then?" - great to see a community leader's video I can use to point at for future reference! :D
SHINYREDBULLETS Haha I really can't aim lol. I'm new to PC gaming so the adjustment is real.. I get rekt nonstop in this game but keep playing because the game is just so different than anything I've ever played.

I love this gun. Good tip suggesting nano armor cloak, hadn't thought of that. I really hope they eventually release the 1x reflex that the tomoe and naginata currently have exclusive access to, for the other guns. And kudos DBG for coming up with a new dmg model making the gun feel unique.
I use the same Nano-weave cloak and equip the compensator, front grip and thermo scope... It is a dream mix and using the Emissionary alongside and is insane when paired with this... If I know I have landed a couple of headshots but the target isn't quite dead a "quick spray" can deal with any infantry units quickly and vice versa. The Tomoe is great on its own... But insane when you pair it with a good secondary!

Moukass my friend imagine if the adrenaline pump gave 30%+ movement speed.
the infiltrator class would be x2 times more fun ^.^ and it would give the feeling of faster gameplay.
stalker power knife infiltrator / hunter bow+knife combo / NC stalker mag scatter + knife combo.
faster in and out combat and smoother knifing.
OH MAN ! i can only imagine the greatness.
the Tomoe is only 2.5 which underwhelming. I do wish it will have 126 or the 2.75 to make it a little "umph".

I love your videos and your play style and have always wondered what your mouse, aim, and scope sensitivity setting are set at? Could you do a video on accuracy cause I've been playing since beta (BR117) and still have a hard time playing infantry. I'm usually the dead one the medics are reviving. So I mainly play in vehicles or Max. Not sure if it's because I'm an older than adverage player with slow reflexes and bad eyesight or bad internet and bad fps or my settings are way off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Artemis VX26, NSX Tomoe or NS-30 Vandal?? I really like NSX Tomoe and NS-30 Vandal, but the Artemis is generally better than the Tomoe stat-wise (Haven't tried the artemis out, but it seems decent stat-wise).

4 shots to the head to kill is pretty nuts for a weapons that fires so fast.
It's the same as the Carv, MSW-R, Orion, Trac-5, Jaguar, Carnage, Cycler and tiny bit worse than the terminus. It's not 'nuts' it's pretty standard actually.
How did some people have a red dot or red cross at the center of the screen when they didnt even aim?

storytime: we got a new internet provider claiming to have better download and upload time than our previous provider. it was slightly more expensive (by about 2 dollars a month more) so we bought it. i used to be able to play this on Chinese servers with a ping of about 70ms and now when i play on a north american server, my ping is about 1200ms when i am in vr or on koltyr. and its a 4 year plan and cancellation at any time will cost 400$. FML
It should be a 2.5x headshot multiplier which aligns with the 9 bodyshot / 4 headshot numbers you mentioned (3x would give it a 3 headshot kill), otherwise nice video.

Would just like to point at an inconsistency in your own video:
1:33 "It takes 9 body shots to kill or 4 headshots"
0:23 "This gun is amazing because it does triple damage if you do headshots"
These cannot both be true.
I calculated the HSM of the Tomoe on PTS to be x2.672 BEFORE the damage was nerfed from 125 to 112. I suspect that when the damage was nerfed, the HSM was left the same but I haven't tested it.
Starting song is the same as my last epic moments montage :) nice video mate. The tomatoe is a pain to fight against, I think the reload should be longer as it's incredibly easy to get kills but then that may be too much of a nerf
the tomoe is inferior to the normal semi-autos, m8. The Artemis for VS reload faster, and has better dmg, unless you have aimbot-like skills and headshot almost all the time with the tomoe.

is this an update on PC because on ps4 our NSX tomoe has 16 bullets and extended magazine gives 2 extra bullets
I do suggest a 6x Night Vision scope if you can control the recoil and can burst correctly

This weapon made me fall in love with the ES scout rifles again. I like the fact they're toying with different kinds of weapons but the novelty value wore off real quick, but yeah, once you switch back to the Artemis/SOAS-20/STALKER you will feel like Mr Dantastic McMLG O'READY.
In other words, unless you tend to have an exceptional HSR this weapon is kinda shit.

bodyshot damage: 112
headshot damage: 280 (112 x 2.5)
Standard Auto scout rifle:
Body: 143
Headshot: 286 (143 x 2)
There's no reason to use tomoe over the standard ones.
And yet so many infils are using it and dominating.

Even with max damage dropoff the standard auto scout-rifles only drop to 125. That's more bodyshot damage. Even the same headshot shots-to-kill (125 x 2 = 250, which is a 4 shot like 280).
The damage dropoff is not really a major factor here.

Moukass doesn't even do that good in this video. The limitations placed on him by the Tomoe are painfully obvious. Give the man a Cyclone or an Artemis or something.

At all ranges the Artemis takes equal (or fewer) shots to kill, and has a larger magazine size.
I don't get the point of the Tomoe, it's pretty much just a worse version of a standard scout rifle.
