I'll absolutely drop a Like on this one. PLEASE run it back for us. This was such a cool concept requiring knowledge of movesets and creativity to cover your missing types.
After watching this video, I decided to create a small region, the Unita Region, and a list of Pokedex entries for the pokemon featured in this video with new names which would feel official to the pokemon franchise (in my eyes). Rainami - Water/Flying - The Storm Surfer Pokemon - These convergent species of Alolan Raichu are better suited to the strong and terrifying waves of the Unita Region, it's said that it can go airborne using its tail as a parachute. Porygon2 - Grass/Dragon - The Eco-Friendly Program Pokemon - Researchers in the Unita Region created to help better the harsh environment by planting growth where needed or overpowering pokemon which are taking too much control over other Pokemon's territory. Trying to upgrade this Pokemon has said to cause it to run haywire. Unitan Tyranitar - Ground/Dragon - The Fierce Armor Pokemon - Tyranitar's habitats are located within the never ending sandstorms of Cobania Desert, from harsh exposure to the sandy, whiplash winds, Tyranitars began to adjust to their environment and became the fiercest pokemon to reside across the entirety of Unita. If a Tyranitar ever came across Unita's Tyranitar, the Unitan Tyranitars would test their strength in a battle of brute force, these fights are said to last for days until they end. Unitan Kommo-o - Dark/Steel - The Tough Scale Pokemon - Unitan Kommo-o in the wild actively searches for other Kommo-mo in order to gather food to help survive in the Cobania Desert. The Armour which Kommo-o wears allows it to survive landslides which fall down on them, and can be sold for very high prices in markets. Arnacheops - Poison/Bug - The Perseverance Bird Pokemon - According to Fossil Researchers Studies, Arnacheops are evolved species of Archeops which survived thanks to burying within caves and sneakily attacking their prey to survive the prehistoric eras. Arnacheops attack their prey by attacking them with their sharp claws which cause the Pokemon's body unable to move and their sharp fans are great at absorbing nutrients from Plants and food whilst filtering out what would harm the body. WeXm - Dark - The Uncontrolled Psychic Pokemon - In older tapestries and scrolls, WeXm was said to shed Crystals off its tail which could be used to change a pokemon to another type permanently or change the type of a pokemon move, however due to being robbed off its crystal stems it became void of colour. The Psychic attacks which it unleashes are so chaotic and dangerous that it causes light to fracture with a single slash. Voltellade - Electric/Fairy - The Dancing Blade Pokemon - When Voltellade fight, they always make sure they make it into a dance as these movements allow the electricity within them to flow and discharge from them with maximum power. Rival Pokemon who face Voltellade tend to be angered as they see it's dance as Voltellade taunting the rival Pokemon. Unitan Entei - The Submerged Volcano Pokemon - Water/Normal - This Legendary Pokemon resides within volcanos submerged underwater and is said to be able to survive underwater for a week without coming up out of the water to breathe oxygen. A folk tale among the villagers of the Unita Region state that whenever the Clouds go a marine blue and rain sparkles as it falls, Entei is nearby. The rain is also said to heal many harsh injuries of pokemon or humans with ease. Ivyrodicus - Grass/Steel - The growth multiplier pokemon - Ivyrodicus are genetically modified Reuniclus which assist in the growth of the plants in the Unita Region, due to most pokemon fighting over territory, damage is usually dealt in the surroundings so Ivyrodicus make sure that everything can regrow in good condition. When a Ivyrodicus is being attacked, it is able to control surrounding nature to trap it's target to allow it to escape, Ivyrodicus rarely cause fatal damage to pokemon and avoid being in conflict as much as possible. Unitan Whimsicott - Bug/Rock - The Wind String - Pokemon - Unitan Whimsicott tend to make their homes within large webs created by other pokemon, sometimes this can cause some disputes across many of the other bug pokemon. Whimsicott uses the yarn-like string on it to swing back and forth, holding a berry, to tease other pokemon, usually this resorts in the Whimsicott fleeing as it's string eventually breaks. Volcatina - Fire/Fighting - The Inferno Valor Pokemon - This pokemon rests unless it feels a strong enemy or opponent who wants to challenge Volcatina or is causing mass chaos throughout the entirety of Unita. The flames which it emits is able to melt through mountains with ease and it takes pride in itself whenever it stands before a weaker pokemon. Although this pokemon is very prideful, it will always protect Unita with it's full power whenever it is in large danger, it is said that this legendary resides within the hottest volcano of the region. Obakedra - Ghost/Electric - This pokemon lives among the highest peaks of Unita, and are said to be one of the least aggressive powerful pokemon in this region, Obakedra's tail when powered by electricity helps guide people and pokemon to shelter whenever there are harsh storms. Obakedra is very friendly towards children and baby pokemon alike and enjoys entertaining them with small electricity fireworks. Obakedras' personalities were so likeable that a cartoon show was made starring an Obakedra as the main character. (Please like this comment this took me a long time to make and I really want this to be seen by others, and those who did thank you do much).
This is so cool! But I feel like a few changes would make it tie together in a better way, personally atleast. I'm Imagining a technologically advanced society trying to survive in the harshest desert on earth. So you have the Tyranitar and kommo-o and probably other pokemon who adapted to survive in that harsh environment. In the middle of the desert is a big oasis, only there because of entei and its rain to keep it alive. In there live pokemon like gallade and whimsicott who live carefree because of how friendly the environment there is, in contrast to the desert. The humans living in the oasis is doing everything they can to combat the spreading of the desert by genetically altering pokemon (reuniclus and porygon) to spread the oasis. Raichu could fit in among the big waves at the coast of the desert. The waves are so big because of the immensely strong winds which also whips up sandstorms. Archeops hid in the big caves with openings strewn about in the desert. There it learned to dig underground and wait for their unsuspecting victim to walk over for them to sting it. Mews crystal could be the gimmick for the region. The crystal was lost and over years in the desert had been ground down to dust because of the sandstorms and now there's particles of it everywhere. These sometimes changes pokemons types that you can find in the wild and sometimes moves learnt by pokemon will have another type. Finally Giratina feels tough to fit in, since it basically is a god like arceus, however maybe this one is a fragment and the bad part of the real giratina who got separated in some way. Because of this it is mostly evil or probably just resentful, careless and prideful, but still senses chaos and cares about protecting the area from changes. So whenever there is anything threatening the desert (ike to much chaos and new types from the crystal, or maybe the oasis getting too big) giratina will rise to cleanse the whole area with fire. And when there are too powerful pokemon or too many giratina rises to challenge them, but again being careless and defeating them with excessive force. Not caring about anything living in it or the environment getting destroyed and thats why there's a desert and why its so harsh, and maybe giratina sleeps under it and that's why its also so warm. Acting kind of like a dormant volcano, but no magma just fire. The evil team could maybe be good guys at first and the ones trying to make the oasis bigger by altering the pokemons genes, maybe found a small part of mews crystal to do so. Finding out that the team is bad will be a mystery to solve and find out that their hidden agenda is to agitate giratina enough to come forth so they can catch it. Maybe its just the ceo and the board of the tech company (or maybe they are the government) that is bad but the underlings just think they are making the world better (to not have the same as every other team), and the new army of grunts are instead the advanced robots who helped do most work in the oasis. The gyms in this region might instead be challenges or desert trials associated with different caves in the desert. So in there there's mainly one type of pokemon (maybe a certain part of mews crystal got stuck there making everything the same type, or maybe they just easier survive if all are the same type, like electric powering up other electric mons), anyway, you don't fight trainers and instead just many higher level pokemon (since they survive longer) and do some puzzles to get through the cave, and in the end there is something you bring back to prove you made it and get a badge for it. The trials are there just to not make everyone soft because of how easy it is to live in the oasis, or maybe its an honor thing or a way to be accepted in society, becoming a man so to speak. This was way too fun to think about!
Oh and for the starters either they could be alternate types of existing starters, because that's the gimmick, but might be boring since we all want new starters. So instead if we create new they are all based on the environment. And all of them at their third evo is immune to the frequent sandstorms, gaining secondary type steel, Rock or ground. I'm imagining, grass/steel: because the scientists always want to merge nature with technology and create a more robust environment, im thinking of the beasts in horizon zero dawn but more grassy of course, maybe being more metallic for each evo. Maybe an antelope, because idk, only thing I can imagine now. Water/ground: Pokemon that's evolved to collect all groundwater(hehe) after it rains and make sure its all collected since every drop counts and are collected in the lake in the oasis. Not sure what this would be since there already is so many with the typing. Just know it has to learn dig, surf and dive, maybe a landshark actually? Like gible-line but water. Fire/rock: Maybe like a fire chameleon or rather a horned lizard, which disguises itself to look like rock to fit in and that also actually changes its skin to rock maybe. It lives in the desert and only survives tyranitars and such because it can disguise, but one day when it's fully evolved and strong enough they will be able to stand up to those big threats. I also realised that this combination of types conveniently enough make all of them 4x effective against the one they should counter which i quite like tbh Edit: And to continue with the starter personalities, funny, cool, serious. Fire is of course serious since it is used to the harsh environment and having to survive. Water is funny because I can't imagine the slightly robotic grass type being that, and I like it to have a good time maybe making like waterslides in the ground and goofing around. Grass is then cool, which I think fit into it being more with the humans and maybe being more arrogant a bit like snivy. It finds pride in having been partly made by humans and helping them out alot.
@@Ypzilonia That works incredibly well for the starters, I imagine that trainers would have to be much older to obtain a pokemon and could only venture further and harsher areas outside of the Oasis with badges to prove that you and your pokemon can survive out there unharmed, you would still able to go out there but the pokemon there would be very powerful and probably too strong for your team. I also think that the Sophisticated New Oasis Expansion for Pokemon (SNOEP) Researchers would also be the people who provide the starters and possibly the trainer has to make a deal of sorts that they are given this pokemon as long as they join SNOEP as it would be dangerous to allow regular citizens to use these pokemon, perhaps trainers you encounter are regular civilians who have broken the law by owning these pokemon, potentially called bandits or maybe these people could be the team which seems like a bad team but is fighting against the real enemy which is the SNEOP Research Team. Many things we can theorize here.
@@NaveKnights Yes I love it! Yeah atleast trainers have to be mid to late teenagers if the challenges would be like a coming of age thing/puberty/ becoming adult thing, otherwise everyone should probably be atleast young adults, unless you find the "evil team" who might have kids of their own. I'm thinking like outposts in the desert to protect the oasis from the big threatening pokemon to come closer. And in the game not only would pokemon strength increase the further out you are to limit players from venturing far. But the outposts could also be used as a barrier from further exploring. Maybe you cant be out in a sandstorm for too long before you black out just like when all your pokemon faint, so atleast early on you will have to stop at outposts to gather strength and maybe heal your pokemon slightly, maybe just half health and pp, to make it more challenging. Yeah absolutely SNOEP would be controlling everything about pokemon, and Professor Acacia would give you your starter. And for the rival he could be the son/daughter of a high up in SNOEP. You are childhood friends but the rival more upper-class. And early on they're snobby like usual and defend the Corp in every way even when you start to realize that there is something fishy about it. And eventually late game when you uncover everything the rival finally believes you and fights on your side. Or maybe they just keep being douchy and rat to SNOEP to get a job and raise. And eventually when you fight the "elite four" which could be different board members you lastly go up against your rival who tries to stop you one last time. The ceo would for sure have one of the strongest Tyranitars because of course he would. And yeah trainers in the wild would absolutely be different kinds of outlaws, other trainers, explorers or maybe some who just don't want to live in the oasis under SNOEP control. I love your idea that SNOEP accuses a group in the desert to be evil but eventually you find out that its the opposite and that SNOEP is actually a corrupt, tyrannical and controlling corporation that's slowly taken over the oasis.
Absolutely love the Ghost/Electric Boodra (since it didn't have a new species name). So cheeky-looking, and I was already a fan of Goodra. The art on the left makes the video so much better
What the Pokémon abilities do that are used in the battle, this took a while, but I wanted new people to know what the abilities do so they aren’t confused about anything. Analytic: Boosts move power when the Pokémon moves last. Surge Surfer: Doubles the Pokémon's Speed stat on Electric Terrain. Sand Stream: The Pokémon summons a sandstorm when it enters a battle. Bullet Proof: Protects the Pokémon from some ball and bomb moves. Synchronize: The attacker will receive the same status condition if it inflicts a burn, poison, or paralysis to the Pokémon. Defeatist: halves the Pokémon’s attack and special attack when below 50% Hp (I know this from his videos so I didn’t look it up) Inner Focus: The Pokémon's intensely focused, and that protects the Pokémon from flinching. Justified: Being hit by a Dark-type move boosts the Attack stat of the Pokémon, for justice. Regenerator: Restores a little HP when withdrawn from battle. (33% to be exact) Prankster: Gives priority to a status move. Sap Sipper: Boosts the Attack stat if hit by a Grass-type move instead of taking damage. Pressure: By putting pressure on the opposing Pokémon, it raises their PP usage. (Makes them use 2 PP instead of 1 per move)
It could be fun to do this same thing with some bst modification. Maybe like you pick three stats to add 30,20,10 to bst, and the three others lose 30,20,10 Makes it more like regional forms where there’s some shuffling
Here's an idea. Use fusions to create and battle with unused type pairings. Not sure how many there are, so if you're hard pressed for them, maybe extend it to mixed types that have only been used once?
For your next FUSION battle, why not give you and your opponent all unused type pairings, and then go out and pick which Pokémon to fuse for it. For example: Fire Fairy could be an Arcanine and Florges, Bug Normal could be Armaldo and Snorlax. Gives you guys the chance to try combos Gamefreak won't give us.
I guess they weren’t including egg moves because with Poison/Bug Hydreigon, he gets Belch. Which is very circumstantial, but it would’ve been interesting.
It would be broken kinda like fairy/steel but still cool personally ibwould love to see a poison/steel mon and I think it would make for a really good meragross regional form
@redmist6131 a regional metagross would be cool. Poison steel is such a dope typing. Idk fairy fire doesn't seem too op its just a really good offensive type and it has weaknesses to really common types like water ground rock poison and steel I think, it could be like a regional celebi
I liked this challenge. Could spice it up a little more with removing the type when it's selected so it would about duplicate typing - even though the double dark mew was too cute.
I think they decided to do that half way through making the teams, after Tobin got dark 3 times. You can see dark is removed from Tobin's wheel for his fourth mon onward. Then they mentioned at some point in the video that they don't want to 'use up' that typing in case it gets paired with something better after.
Just a quick bit of info, mythicals are legendaries that can’t be obtained other than events, so any legendary you can’t normally get without mods or events
This would be a good game for scarlet/violet, BUT whatever types you role MUST BE the “terra type”. Could do this with picking randomized starters or try catching Pokémon for the other person to make things real interesting 👀
Nobody's talking about it, but the Kingdom Hearts naming Scheme on the mew was a cool Callback. Nobodies always were an anagram of the person's name that they came from + the letter X. Sora = Roas = RoXas Ansem = Emnas = Xemnas Mew = Wem = WeXm Really funny touch whoever did handled Mew :D
amazing designs, so creative, I don't often comment. Could you guys make a video about what kind of work gets put into this kind of gem. I would love it.
@United Plays, I thought of an awesome video idea for you! Each player custom creates 6 Pokemon (type, ability, moves, etc.) Make them as good or as bad as you want! Then the other person randomly chooses from 2 of the options, and you get the other! You could literally design the best Pokemon ever that one-shots everything it touches, and also the worst Pokemon that has 1 HP and no damaging moves at all! But you don't know which one your opponent is going to pick, and which one you will get stuck with!
What an amazing video! It feels so similar to the Pokémon fusions videos and I absolutely loved that series! I’m glad Dylan is bringing his peak content back!
Ok idea play this each time removing a type from your wheel. Go until it’s an empty wheel. If you don’t end up using them the artist can just show a rough sketch of the idea instead of the full artwork
I love that Entei's design is imitating Suicune haha

Sand Stream: The Pokémon summons a sandstorm when it enters a battle.
Bullet Proof: Protects the Pokémon from some ball and bomb moves.
Synchronize: The attacker will receive the same status condition if it inflicts a burn, poison, or paralysis to the Pokémon.
Defeatist: halves the Pokémon’s attack and special attack when below 50% Hp (I know this from his videos so I didn’t look it up)
Inner Focus: The Pokémon's intensely focused, and that protects the Pokémon from flinching.
Justified: Being hit by a Dark-type move boosts the Attack stat of the Pokémon, for justice.
Regenerator: Restores a little HP when withdrawn from battle. (33% to be exact)
Prankster: Gives priority to a status move.
Maybe like you pick three stats to add 30,20,10 to bst, and the three others lose 30,20,10
Makes it more like regional forms where there’s some shuffling
Here's an idea. Use fusions to create and battle with unused type pairings. Not sure how many there are, so if you're hard pressed for them, maybe extend it to mixed types that have only been used once?
16:48
...is the WAY that you're making me FEEEEEL toniiiight. It's HAAAARD to let it go!
I'm amazed neither of them recognized the terror that is Whimsicott, the OG Prankster. Kids these days.
"I'm gonna use my legendary" I hope you don't mean you only get 1 cause I'm pretty sure I saw that mew lmao
You know Tobin doesn't smoke pot when he spells kush koosh
Maybe it’s one of those words you can’t use in-game, like as a nickname? So he spelled it differently to get around that?
I LOVE the Bug/Rock Whimsicott. I love Whimsicott in general. Turning it into a ball of silk is perfect
the gear fifth edit killed me XDXDXDXD
I guess they weren’t including egg moves because with Poison/Bug Hydreigon, he gets Belch. Which is very circumstantial, but it would’ve been interesting.
More videos like this please, this type of stuff and the Fusion Series videos you guys make are great. Keep it up and please make more of these!!
I love his bobbing head. He loves that heavy metal music 🤣🤣
One typing combo I've been dying to see I always thought it'd be really good is fire/fairy type im just hoping it'll pop up in one of these videos
Fr. I’m still waiting to see a Pokémon with this typing, both in challenges and on an actual mon
@@CleverUsername69420 revavroom is poison steel
@@notafan3949 My man! Revavroom carried me hard
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the art and models in this!!!
I love the Kingdom hearts reference on mew
Beat me to it
Great and creative challenge! :D Good stuff Dylan!
"You have to remember what moves the Pokemons get"
Proceeds to look them up before catching them
I liked this challenge.
Am I the only one who realized Tobin caught mew as his legendary and shouldn’t have caught entei?
Yeah but Mew is a mythical Pokémon. Some consider it a legendary still but definitely a mythical
@@TTVi_am_crunchbut that's the thing they actually say that they count mythicals as legendaries for battles like this
Yeaa i agree, he shouldn't be able to use both, high BSTs
Also "we have to remember their moves" followed by them looking up 'mons movesets
Dylan caught tyranitar and giratina, whose average comes up to about 640
While Entei + Mew is a mere 585
So Dylan had more raw power
This is super cool, please do more of these.
I’d love to see more random type swap videos like this.
Alolan Raichu as water/flying makes so much sense, it's surfing and flying at the same time
I love the concept of this video! Alternating the appearance of the pokemon is a really cool touch too.
We definitely need more of these types of videos! These look amazing
2:13 in the words of the great Doctor Robotnik, "I was not expecting that..."
Thx for making a vid bro the ones u make r incredible my life outside of gaming has been a pain so its nice to see an incredible vid from ya mate
I'd actually love to see this specific concept again
Loving the music references lately! Shady made a Relient K reference, and now Dylan plays As I Lay Dying in his video!
yo these forms are so majestic! want part2!!
The T Tar Dragon and Ground looks absolutely epic loving it 🎉 Dracotor❤
Just a quick bit of info, mythicals are legendaries that can’t be obtained other than events, so any legendary you can’t normally get without mods or events
I loved the designs! Great battle too! ❤
Sora = Roas = RoXas
Ansem = Emnas = Xemnas
Mew = Wem = WeXm
Really funny touch whoever did handled Mew :D
Brooks edits for videos like this are always so perfect
amazing designs, so creative, I don't often comment. Could you guys make a video about what kind of work gets put into this kind of gem. I would love it.
Water typing on surfing Raichu just fits.
Loved the design of all the mons, pls do it again in the future
Either Nintendo censors the word "Kush" or Tobin doesn't know the actual spelling, lol
Coolest video idea so far I think also shoutout the artists all those drawings were excellent.
Dillon- “Luffy would never withdraw from a battle”
Me- “Have you met… Katakuri”
Love the designs, and also love watching you be defeated xD win win this video!
Great video guys. Keep up the great work. Love your videos and personalities.
This was so sick! All love all these fusions but the giratina is my favorite!
Gotta love the battle revolution clip when mentioning U-Turn
Whoever edits these videos is hilarious
Love Porygon's and Archeops' design.
What an amazing video! It feels so similar to the Pokémon fusions videos and I absolutely loved that series! I’m glad Dylan is bringing his peak content back!
Honestly, concept aside the editing was top tier also!
The models look incredible this time omg!
I love the editor. Top tear edits😂
These models are getting better every time, so cool
Ok idea play this each time removing a type from your wheel. Go until it’s an empty wheel. If you don’t end up using them the artist can just show a rough sketch of the idea instead of the full artwork
Great video, great concept! I love these redesign videos. Always keeps me coming back for more!
These designs r incredible i love them sm, great vid!
Just so you know I have a yveltal and yes it can learn both fire and fighting moves.
Heat wave, focus blast, (probably) aura sphere.
11:40 can’t say I saw that coming 😳😂
Nothing beats them saying 'i know you get both stabs' and then you look at their moveset and see they are clearly wrong
"Luffy would never run from the battle"
Sabaody Arc would like to chat
I love the Gallade! My boy is channeling Thor, and he looks sick!
Ghost/Electric Goodra is like made of Ghost Busters ectoplasm. The positively charged kind, because Goodra loves everyone.
It was great❤ i hope you make a Part two.
this was awesome!! would love to see y'all run it back!!
The As I Lay Dying was fire 😂
For some reason Goodra looks absolutely cool the design just works in a way
I want more exactly like this
Love the fan art with these
them not knowing whimsicott got prankster as a vgc player fing killed me
You're so close to 500k. Congrats Dylan
Awesome theme!
That reuniclis design is FIRE!
All of these designs are crazy good
I just turned gay at 6:06. LMAO That Gallade design is fire.
Love your videos I watch them for 3 years
All these fakemons were so well designed bruh, especially in the 2D art
ok the organization xiii name for dark mew was genius
Ttar is my all time favorite mon. So puting stab dragon dance and earthquake on him is the greatest combo ever!
The editing on this is 🔥🔥🔥
You guys should try a surprise trade 6 Pokemon and create a team with random abilities!!! I think that would be pretty fun!!!
Goodra out here looking like it went gear 5.
we need a ep 2 please this was so cool
Love how Whimsy resembled Tarountula
Always love the work that goes into these!
Pokemon designer creators : " okay who the hell spilled or secrets for new designs?"
You gotta hire whoever made these mods again, and if it eas one of you thats incredible! This with random abilities.
I would love to see yall doing this challenge again but in gen 9
Such a good idea!! These were INSANE looking dude!
