Thank you so much! I've been looking for this information regarding beat channels, and your video was the only one disclosing the details I was looking for!
Yasterday I started my youtube type beat channel got a grind on Ima try this method thank you Lollypop for helping out! I hope I will reach out some sales.
This is the best video on youtube explaining this topic. I'm also glad to see that after putting in the work you were able to see the fruits of your labour. It's really inspiring tbh, time to put in the work!!
Thanks for making this video! It’s very informative. I have a question for you and anyone in the comments feel free to chime in with helpful advice. I’ve just started releasing beats on BeatStars in July 2023 and trying to grow my TH-cam channel as well. I work a 9-5 and any free time I get I’m working on music. When you say you post beats to TH-cam every day, do you copyright your beats beforehand or is this something that you don’t bother with. Time is precious and my workflow is getting 10 beats prepared, sent off for copyright, then release. Is this a good method or possibly overthinking? What are your thoughts? Feel free to dm if anyone has any helpful advice. Thanks in advance!
I don’t copyright my beats, it is hard to keep track of who’s using your beats and dropping songs etc but it’s just part of the TH-cam type beat game annoyingly. I know some people that do copyright their beats though and I wish I did but when you’re posting every day or often it gets very time consuming
i love this video! it makes me happy some producers can grow through the years. but sad that just as my old channel was about to hit its Peak so close to monetization.. youtube randomly deleted and banned my old page as someone tried to claim my beat was theirs.. probably because of false content id and such claims when they baught a license from me..
What would you recommend to producers who don't make type beats but like to experiment with their own sound? Or is the best way to grow an audience to do type beats, gain an audience, and then venture out?
@@lollypopbeatz if you have a chance stop by my page I also make type beats my quality is getting better my mix style is unique. I go for emotion. Thanks for responding. Salute
Been grinding locally and sold beats to a lot of artists in my area but I have so many beats just lying around because many locals want them exclusively but only are willing to dash me 60€. Gotta start uploading again on YT and Beatstars
I arranged it the following way now: 1 R&B, 1 Afro R&B and 1 Afrobeat per week. Was thinking if I stick to this it won‘t mix up the algorithm too much. Or would you recommend doing 3 separate channels but rather uploading once a week only?
Started uploading and my schedule is 2 Beats a week, since I study medicine. My niche was Afrobeats and Afro R&B but I'm thinking, for this niche especially, it would be better to just put the artists in a type beat. So Tems Type Beat, Burna Boy Type Beat, Rema Type Beat, Libianca/ Omah Lay etc. Haven't had the most success with just putting Afrobeats and Afro R&B Type Beat into the title. Anyone else got some tips on that?
I love making beats but personally I don't wanna categorize myself by labeling my videos as type beats & I just wanna post beats as is, would you say using this same format could be applied in this own niche? Btw I'm not saying there's anything wrong with type beats I personally look them up myself but I also look for the Markert of people who just make experimental beats that I feel artist could use but have lil exposure so would using this method be the same as marketing a type beat channel but without the type beats with just regular beats you enjoy making or having inspiration behind beats without labeling to a certain category?
There isn’t a “good” niche I can think of you just gotta start posting and see for yourself. Try pick an artist that is upcoming but enough people are searching for their type beats
@@lollypopbeatz thanks for the answer. May i ask you one more question. Ive got a yt channel already with 1k subs but its a mixed type of channel all sorts of content should i start a fresh type beat one or just build up from my 1k existing channel? There are some videos id like not to delete tho since one of them got 1,4 mil views (gaming stuff) any ideas?:)
i really do understand what you're saying but i can't stick myself to one genre of type cuz i'm so versatile i wanna try different thing so it's kinda hard to stick only with one type of beat on my channel
I got a question. I’m a producer but I rap off my own beats and I want to post them to TH-cam but I don’t want everybody to use my beats without paying for it, so Can I copyright them and post them to youtube and still make songs to the beats I copyrighted without getting copyrighted ? 😂
If you copyright the beats how can anyone buy them? They will buy a lease and get struck what’s the point 😂 this is what I advise you do, when you make a beat make 2 versions. I bounce out a clean UNTAGGED wav (with 1 tag at the start) for BeatStars and also a TAGGED mp3 for youtube. I always bounce my untagged wav out nice and low like -3db (coz -6 is far to quiet in my opinion, but I’m not a pro mix engineer so I can’t make them loud at -6 😂) and I then keep the same project open and turn it up as loud as I can without it distorting too much and add around 5/6 tags throughout the whole beat so I know if someone is on my beat and it’s got more than one tag it’s NOT PAID. Thing is in reality you have to let people use them for non profit coz not everyone can afford beats but still wanna rap without Getting paid if someone uses your beat with a decent little following you could convert fans/sales that way with their free promo they just gave you. One other thing you can do if you really don’t want them using it for free is add the dreaded “purchase your tracks today” thing haha ain’t no rapper using that beat and posting it ANYWHERE 😂😂
Another problem you have here is why would you wanna use your own beats to rap and then sell the beat what you rapped on? Coz surely that makes it non exclusive to yourself? You could use a distribution platform for your beats and use content ID and then you will get struck but you will be able to provide yourself with the license and no matter what the strike would send you the money anyway..

But what if you post every single day? Is it possible to grow in a week? And what's the best time to post?

What about naming the beats. Do you name them according to Chief Keef songs or how do you make each title unique
