Not only was the theme amazing, the setting was insane and the final boss was so badass and stole the show, while only being there for a few minutes of the game. One of the best final bosses I’ve ever experienced.

To be fair, the entire countdown used sound effects from Undertale, and the Undertale song was much higher than any Mario song. I love Undertale, so that's not a problem for me, but for those that don't, there is a legitimate reason to not like the video.

+SasDaGreat That isn't at all why people are disliking it. Undertale had a pretty bad fandom, it ended up getting talked about so much it just became annoying and anybody talking about it was associated with the fandom simply because it had been talked to death rather than the game itself.

Nah, it's all about Streets of Rage 1. That shit was fire from how it kicks off all ominous before cranking into a heavier beat while still maintaining a consistent hook.
"it has to be this way" is one of my fav boss themes, i also think a great final boss theme could be "The greatest Jubilee" from BAYONETTA

Hopes and Dreams truly gave the best feels out of every song in Undertale, which is honestly saying something. I still remember that feeling fighting Asriel. Megalovania was epic, don't get me wrong, but it didn't feel inspiring, nor did it guilt me. Having background in the game, Hopes and Dreams is better, but Megalovania was amazing for the song itself.
I get what your saying, and can we all agree that flowey’s song was underwhelming but still good lol we just expect all the songs to be 11/10

Look: even back in the days of peanut3423, that was a stupid rule and everybody knew it. Even the people who popularized that standard have since broken it, because they eventually realized that if one series just happened to have all the good songs, that's not the video creator's fault. Don't shoot the messenger. Or just make your own video. Maybe you'll gain a new appreciation for how "easy" it is to narrow down a field this expansive, even if something like this is the end result.

Absolutely love the Sonic Colors final boss music. Actually I love it when a final boss tract remixes an old theme. Persona 3 did this as well with it's tract "Last Battle (remix)". As far as other final boss themes go, Chrono Cross has a fantastic final boss tract. The second to last final boss in Persona 5 is my favorite song in the game (Rivers in the Desert). Both final bosses in Splatoon 2 have amazing tracts (Spicy Calamari Inkantation and Fly Octo Fly). And of course I can't forget the classic tract from Final Fantasy 7, "One-winged Angel". RPGs really do have the best final boss music ;)

honestly the nsmbw phase 2 was really great and should have deserved the top 5 honestly.
I know I'm gonna get murdered with hate for this, but I am a big fan of the undertale and deltarune games. I DO NOT SUPPORT THE FANDOM. Some of the animations are pretty cool though. I love the games for actual gameplay, music, fourth wall breaks, good characters. I loved the game before I knew the memes or fandom. Let's just sum it up:

The final boss of that game is in the Honorable Mentions, at least, for taking a calm and mystical song the player knows well from going through the game and reworking it into the finale's pulse-pounder.

my favorit last boss theme will always be dark souls 1 "Gwyn lord of cinder." It represents something unic. The other boss battles had such a epic theme that fit The fight to a note, and The sad almost depressing but beautiful music that plays against Gwyn, it really tells alote of The game itself, and how its such a journey, but for what? to extend a fleating age?
