    I believe that Dumbledore's last piece of magic was his last will and testament, I do no believe the Ministry of Magic could have done anything to keep those items from the trio.

      You'd think the kids would want to learn magic not treat it like muggle school.

    Clarification.....Ron said DD left him the deluminator because he knew Ron would run out. Harry corrected him, showing great compassion and understanding and loving friendship, by saying no....DD understood that Ron would want to come back.

    I think the only reason he could see through/detect Harry’s invisibility cloak was because he studied it whilst in possession of it after James had died because as one of the Hallows its supposed to be undetectable and immune to spells like accio

    I think that the Mirror Dimension is actually the inside of the deluminator. If you think about it having mirrors reflect light having the inside of the Illuminator being a mirror surface maybe silver. Because mirrors are glass and silver backing, be able to harness the power of silver to create a mirror dimension and some way is something to think about.

    Normally, I wouldn't give any credence to anything Skeeter said, but given how out of control his ego was before his sister's death, I do wonder if Skeeter wasn't correct in saying Dumbledore actually didn't come up with all 12 uses of dragon blood himself but took credit for another wizard's discovery.

    • @MasterOfTheElements
      @MasterOfTheElements ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No way, if his ego was that big then he would have spent every waking moment trying to discover new uses for Dragon's blood his pride wouldn't have allowed him to take credit for something he didn't do. He may have been arrogant when he was young but no one can deny the man was brilliant.

    • @Omizuke
      @Omizuke ปีที่แล้ว

      Dumbledore was able to sense magic, and even identify the type of magic. It's how he figure out the entrance to the cave and what to do. In the case of invisibility, he would still feel the precense of that type of magic there. And for Harry, he had and studied the cloak for a while. So I'm guessing he can recognize it. I'm guessing this was particular in for Charm and Transfiguration variety, "magic that leaves traces" . And not chemicals/biological changes, or specific minds. It would explain why he knew not to trust Quifrell, he could sense "dark" magic on him. But not read Voldemort. But been a professor who's expertise were supose to be the Dark Arts that was expected, to have odd magic on him. Or was fooled by Barty Crouch Jr. Because Moody was sure to have all traces of odd magics on him. But Dumbledore didn't detect the changes made with Polyjuice Potion. While he was able to sense Horace when he used transfiguration to change into a chair. Tho I'm sure Dumbledore was adept at sensing minds as well, since Harry would feel as if Dumbledore could.

    The art is stunning!
    The invisibility cloak did not hide sounds or spells.
    As a responsible adult, AD would definitely have placed a tracking spell on the cloak before handing over a to a firsty, the proof is in the Mirror of Erised room.

    About Dumbledore being able to detect magic around him (That Chamber of Secrets scene), I always wondered if he was just randomly using Legilimency to make sure no invisible people were there listening in on the conversations with him and Fudge. Of course just being able to detect magic makes sense too considering it's Dumbledore.

  • @griffin3508

    I think for the invisibility cloak it is that he could sense a presence of magic without seeing it and made an educated guess as it was Hagrid's cabin and he had given the cloak to harry himself, and even if it wasn't an educated guess as it was meant to be undetectable even to death, you'll recall he had had over 11 years to understand it and maybe make it detectable in some way to him. As for the ring, it was a horcrux which in itself is one of the darkest forms of magic, so a defensive spell on it would probably not be differentiated from the horcrux's power, magic or darkness. My 2 cents.

    "Flamel was over half a century old when Dumbledore was born." So what? Dumbledore was over an entire century old when he died, so these men both dabbled extensively in longevity. Do we actually know when in Flamels life he began using the stone? Moreover, if longevity was a topic Flamel specialized in, he could've been over a century old himself before he and Dumbledore finally "perfected" his master work together.

    • @thefracturedbutwhole5475

      Flamel was nearly 700 years old when he died, Dumbledore was 150-ish when he died. Flamel was centuries old when Dumbledore was still in diapers, Wizards live longer than muggles (around 200 years), Dumbledore's age was nothing out of the ordinary, Flamel on the other hand . . .
