As I watch these journal pages forming I am really getting a feel for how each layer is needed to give depth and dimension to the whole finished page. Having never done one of these I do feel my confidence picking up and may just one day DO IT! Thanks Vicki for sharing these fun art creations. Yes, I love the little hands that pop in to help mama out. They are precious.
Art is truly international, we all know and recognize your watering can, so it is always so delightful to see what new concept you show. I can't say anything that has not already been said. I love your work and I am inspired to try it out, even got a journal to start one for myself. What a marvelous way to involve your son and daughter, too.
I discovered your art journal today and they are Breathtaking! The one thought that kept running through my head as I had to watch every one was, "These would make a wonderful picture book for my grandchildren!".
Beautiful as always! You are my favourite journal-maker on TH-cam! Vicky, just for your information, the word, "whipped", rhymes with "flipped", a word that I have heard you use before. You have such a lovely voice and I am very thankful that you have chosen to do these tutorials in English. I'm can't speak a second language, like you can. I admire your command of the English language.
I am so inspired by your work. I love your videos because your explantations regarding art materials are clear and you pass onto the viewer so many helpful tips. I hope there is a book deal in your future. Thank you for sharing your videos with an art thirsty world.
Your art journals make me happy! I LOVE your style, it's unique and absolutely stunning. I haven't seen anyone that makes more beautiful art journaling than you! Thank you so much for sharing and being such an inspiration for all of us
VICKY THAT'S THE MOST AMAZING THING I'VE EVER SEEN. I LOVE ALL YOUR ART JOURNAL ENTRIES BUT THAT WATERING CAN WAS PERFECT & YOU WERE RIGHT. THE FLOWER LOOKED EMBOSSED. YOU ARE SO ARTISTIC. I'M SURE YOUR LITTLE HELPERS WILL BE TOO. TFS. SUE
LOVELY whimsical page, Vicky! As usual you art journal pages are my favorites. Many blessings to you from the Great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood Washington!
Vicky, this is just a beautiful page -- orange and teal is my favorite color combo. I've watched most of your art journaling videos. I hope when you're finished, you'll do a flip through the whole journal!
This is so darling Vicky! Love Love your art journal pages. I love the sweet helping hands you had, too! Thanks so much for sharing. You're a beautiful inspiration!!
I love the wall and the colors you use are always so vibrant. I've learned so much from your tutes, and especially love your shading technique, I've been using it and it really brings the page to life. :)
Truly stunning work Vicky!!! Another masterful art journal page that is full of inspiring ideas and details. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing!
I love it when you do art journal pages! Your colours are beautiful, fabulous shading, great texture with the squares and your watering can is adorable!! Great video as always, you are so clear as to what methods you are using all the way through. TFS. C :))
Your art journal page is so beautiful. I love your whole garden idea sooo can't wait for all the flowers to bloom. The colors you chose are so pretty. I love watching you create your Art Journal pages. Your video was definitely fun and very inspiring. Joan Smith
Such an awesome page, Vicky! My art journal has been laying around for a year and a half now untouched. I never even started it. But you always make me want to pull it out and try!
Oh, Vicky! Another incredible art journal page!! I enjoy your vlogs so much!! You are the best "shader" out there! I purchased a ton of the Pitt Big Pens for shading because of you and your amazing technique - which works for me EVERY time! Thank you for sharing your time and your talent with us. You are inspiring me to do crazy, creative things and I love it!
Ohhhhhhh Vicky!!! I've been waiting patiently and checking every day for a video of an art journal page from you!! I cannot pick a favorite! LOL Beautiful Vicky!!! TY TY TY TY !!!! Blessings, Jennifer :)
Hi Vicky, could you please tell me which is the difference between the Pitt brush pens and the Stampers Big Brush Pens?... I want to buy the one that you use for the shadows... but I'm not sure which type is better for that.
Vicky this is another Fantastic Art Journal from you...so inspiring !! Love your work & style so much ! I'm always waiting for a new Art Journal video from u...& while waiting I keep watching your previous pages Over & Over again..and each time I watch them I fall in deeper in love with them !! Keep them coming girl !! Hugs... Thanks for Sharing !! Riti :)
I always love watching your process, Vicky Papaioannou and this was no exception. What a beautiful journal page! Love the color you achieved from mixing your Gelatos with the Whipped Spackle. Almost good enough to eat. ;)
I have always struggled with shading but have always used black and it always looks terrible, it’s good to learn that shading can be done in the colour and looks really good, more natural , thank you 😊
Vicky, this IS really cute. I love gardening very much, too. I have a questions for you. I purchased a new 4 oz. jar of Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Gesso in White (regular gesso), but when I used it, it was gritty. I don't think it's suppose to be gritty because it's just acrylic paint, like you said with some fixatives. So why is it gritty? It shouldn't be. This is my first time using Gesso. I didn't mix it. I used it straight out of the jar, just like you taught in your tutorials. I was upset because it damaged my project and I had to start again and use another Gesso brand I had. Thanks for your input.
The more I see your art journal pages the more I want to give it a try..I wish there was a art journal started kit so I know what the basics I need to get started??
Vicky, thank you for sharing another wonderful art journal page. I smile whenever I see a new one posted. One trouble I have is trying to get my cling stamps straight. Any helpful tips for me? I'm working on Mother's Day cards, and my sentiments always seem to be lopsided. lol
It is so inspiring to see your little videos and I am so happy I got so many ideas. Also seeing your child helping you. Superb work Mrs. Papaioannou ( Say hi to Mr. Aris :) I do use his little plugin once in awhile and the link adding) Have a great weekend and thanks for all
You are an amazing artist. I am always mesmerized watching you. You make things looks so easy. When I try to do things like this all I do is throw it in the trash. May I come spend a week at your house so u can teach me. LOL or how about I fly you to my house for a few weeks.
Vicky, I too love your pages and hope to start with some mixed media art journaling myself soon. I wonder, do you begin with a sketch? Your sentiment fit perfectly into the space available! Was that serendipity, or did you know it would fit? Do you already have a blog post or video on starting an art journal? If so, could you direct me/us to it? I will search for it now, but if you can send us to it, that would be marvelous! Thank you for sharing your wonderful work!
Hi and thanks for commenting. Before I start I have the basic idea on my mind and I always know what quote I am going to be using. But I didn't leave that much space in purpose. Don't forget that I use letters to stamp my quote and that means I can manipulate them so they fit... I can put them as far or as close as I need to. So that's the trick. I have shared all my videos here on youtube but they are more or less like this... how I do it. But if you are looking for some basic info or ways to get inspired maybe you can look at this post www.clips-n-cuts.com/2014/03/art-journal-the-sky-is-the-limit/ Hope this helps!!!
This was the longest video I think you've done. I was waiting for this one! In the mean time, I was searching for other journals to enjoy. I found none. Do you have any videos of other artists that inspire you? So far I have been watching messy renditions of unplanned things where all of their efforts are covered up by other stuff and the outcome is something I wished I never took the time to watch...you know what I mean.
My favorites are ***** and france papillon I also love watching the work of other artists as well such as Donna Downey and Christy Tomlinson All have different styles but you can learn so much about composition, different mediums and techniques from these artists. Then make them your own and make a layout that is appealing to your own eyes!
I have just finished watching the last of your page videos and have noticed you making cards recently. please tell me more journal pages are underway and that you haven't switched to card making for good!
yyes! i can see the canvas! and watering can is so cool! thank you for so much fun today! i gather drive to start finally do my own art journal.. for some reason I feel lack of assureness to do that o_0
Hi Vicky ! May I ask about these Gelatos. Once they are dry on the paper, are they still soluble to water? I want the paint to stay where it is, when I paint on it with medium or something else that can be wet. I love your videos !!!
You do have to seal it with GEL MEDIUM before you do anything else to the page. If you look back at her video right after she uses the gelatos, her second step is to seal the page with G.M. Then skys the limit! WONDERFUL technique. Isnt she fabulous?!
Hello Vicky, I love the Hero Arts alphabet but I can't find any retailer. It seems that the Hero Arts website doesn't give more information about this set. Could you enlighten me please?
Hi Eleni Zazani I believe this stamp set is discontinued since I can't find it either online. But I will ask them at Hero Arts and let you all know in one of my future videos if that's so.
Many thanks Vicky for your quick reply. It seems this letter set has disparate from everywhere. I hope they consider releasing again. Greetings from London. :)
I always love your work Vicky. You're inspirational! Just a question that came to me watching this. English isn't your first language ,so why do you use English in your journaling and cards? Do you also journal in your mother tongue? :-)
art is nicer when you share it with others. And since I share it here on youtube with the rest of the world I use English to make it "international" I guess! I don't mind my pages being in English.
Vicky Papaioannou I LOVE LOVE your videos & I'm so happy that i found you and understand you even though my first language is Arabic! yes! as you said 'your videos are international
That is a Ranger Craft Sheet. I usually link it on my supply lists ... not sure if I did it here but you can probably find a link to it below my other projects.

What is the brown paper under all your projects? It cleans off so easy. Did you DIY or buy it?
