Hi Suzanne, and thank you for your comment. No i don't follow prompts. What I do though is to keep a notebook where I write down whatever quote I like. And that's my starting point. I select the quote as my theme and then try to figure out how I can dress it up with my stamps, papers, inks etc.
I love to watch those old videos. You are the reason I started art journaling and all my early layouts are copies of your layouts. You are still a big inspiration and it is so much fun that you have now released your own products. I have several of your journals, stamps, stencils and ephemera. I can never get enough of your art journal videos ❤.
Watched this video a few years ago, before I had ANY idea what an art journal was. Now, hundreds of videos later (and a few art journals of my own), this remains my absolute favorite! SO much talent. Thank you for sharing it!

Vicky this kept me engrossed for the full 20 minutes, I didn't want it to stop! Such wonderful ideas, absolutely loved the process behind the stack of books. I wish I had such vision when crafting. If I start making journals I will definitely want the 'clean and tidy' look you mention in your video, like you say this really is down to personal preference. You must look at your journal pages regularly, I know I would. Thanks for your time, you really do inspire me.

Just found your channel today, Vicky, and I'm amazed by the beauty of your Art Journal Pages. I watched all of the art journal videos and I think this one here is one of my favorites. I love that you pay so much attention to the added details and that you add lots of them because that's exactly what makes those pages so rich and special and authentic. Even if one can not see all of the details at first glance it gives an overall sense or feeling of completeness. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art and talent.
Hi Renne! Yes, you can add gel medium on top of the modeling paste once it's dry. No problem! My journal is a moleskin I got from amazon (check my blog on supplies for link). But you can use many other types as long as their pages are heavy enough... or recycle an old book glue pages together and turn it into art journal. Look for youtube videos on how to do this!

I absolutely love this! My mom has been trying to get me into scrapbooking and crafts for years. I recently started the smash books, but this video sold me hook line and sinker. Beautiful!

This is by far the best art journal page I have seen. I love the subject and how you put it together. Definitely 'a stack of books'. I appreciate that it is not messy, too. I don't go for lots of painting blobs. Congrats and TFS x

Wow!!! That is a great page. The books inspired me to try them. All your work inspires me tho. I love your style and art. I just got my journal and have slowly been stocking up on mediums and alphabet stamps. I appreciate that you demonstrate different brands of your mediums. And since you asked, I liked this music much better, but no music would be the best so that I can listen to my own. Also, thank you so much for doing the voice overs on your newer videos. I love watching the process and your thoughts. I never feel that your videos are too long, even if I have to watch in segments when I am busy. I have been following your art journal for only a month or 2. I'm going back and watching older vids. I think this is my favorite theme so far. You make it look so easy!
