My dad's last build (before he passed @ 41 in 1992) was a '77 Camaro. He packed a '69 (w/'65 cc heads) 396 BB under the hood. We put the L88 Corvette hood scoop on it with all the gauges tucked under the scoop. Being the 77 was the last year that came with the chrome bumpers (& he always liked the 70 model w/ just the corner bumpers) we cut the center out of the bumper (leaving just the corners). The top part of the grill stayed in place. Then he took another top grill from a different Camaro and flipped it upside down and bolted them together (top & bottom). Where the grill comes together and makes the point in the center. He put a SS emblem to cover the bolt and to give that little detail. We painted it white with a blue pearl added in the clear. (All acrylic enamel with a universal clear) and painted the double rally strips on the hood. Wheels....he was ole school & had the Keystone Classics. Standard on the front and offset (10 wide) on the back. He had the air shocks on the back & you would air them up at the license plate. I had pictures of it but my home was broken into last year and they took everything that was tied down. But if I can find one from someone I'll post it if you'd like to see it. Anyway, this is the first time on your channel. Subscribed and I'll keep checking you out! 🫵🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🤙🏻👍🏻
@ I don’t know, honestly. Maybe 20lbs, give or take. If I was worried about weight, I wouldn’t have done it and I’d be removing the interior permanently😂
@@NoChillChad I'm not worried with the power I am going to be making. I was just wondering how much added weight it was. I would rather have a quieter ride on the inside. We are going to start at the end of this month putting the new motor in. I am really excited! Thanks dude!
I was looking at the thickness at Silness was 120mil while the others thickest was like 80-100 mil. I did some research and this brand had high ratings! It was a great choice plus i could order from amazon!

Yea been trying to decide to kilmat, dynamat or this

@@NoChillChad awesome man thanks for the info..
Maybe I missed it, but you purchased 80mil and 120 mil, which thickness did you end up using?
I used the 120mil for all the flooring. I planned on using the 80mil in the rear and doors, but honestly I would rather buy all 120mil.
