Ok, so here are some other list ideas:
• top n cards with traits (weapon, item, spell, insight, trick, tactic, ally)
• how to win at arkham horror: understanding player windows.
About the second - there was a loading screen video. What is more, all is in the Rules Reference. But there are some neat tricks, like a player window after hunter enemy moves and before he attacks. For Beat Cop or Chuck Fergus event with fast. Or player windows can be still abused outside of investigator's turn, unless "play only during your turn"-ish caption is written. I'm sure Bryn / Travis would pull out some really sick examples of things most people think is against the rules, but actually is according to the rules.
Just diving into my first multiplayer campaign with some friends. You guys are a huge motivation to learn and play this game. Thanks for the quality content!

New content idea that I had yesterday if it helps : "How to fix [...]".
Like for example a player card (Ace of Rods, Charon's obol (you kind of proposed a fix for this one at some point in the past I think), etc.). Or an investigator (Lola Hayes....). Or a scenario (The museum for the fighter, the pandemy scenario in TCU which is a bit broken I think, etc.). 😉

What’s the best weapon from the investigator starter packs and why is it .18 Derringer Level 2?
My list would be quite different; I would have said 45. Automatic for the core set and Enchanted Blade lv0 for Circle Undone due to weighing more heavily towards which cards make it into my decks the most. And those two cards are so important for all early campaign fighters (Machete is obviously very good, but I've never played it once since it got tabooed). I probably would have also nominated Fire Axe, Ornate Bow and Dragon Pole for being strong weapons for a lot of decks that otherwise just couldn't play weapons.
Look at Bryn trying to be different
Something I often forget about Flamethrower is that you have to be engaged with all the enemies you want to damage, which is sometimes really awkward.
Yeah, it's not very often that you can actually distribute damage among enemies, since you very rarely will find yourself engaged with multiple enemies if you are equipped with Flamethrower to begin with. Otherwise you need to perform an engage action (but that provokes AoO) or include cards like Taunt in your deck (kinda a waste of space in my opinion). Of course there's the argument that you don't want to risk dealing 4 damage to a friend in case you fail, but actually this weapon wouldn't do that anyway since it only does up to 4 damage if you are successful, and anyway I never cared about that with a Lightning Gun, I just blast.
Against 4 health enemies it can be argued that you don't really waste actions, since with any other weapon you would need to perform two attacks, but there are ways to deal that extra point of damage (Beat Cop, Vicious Blow just to name a few). In the end I don't really see Flamethrower as particularly better than a Lightning Gun or a M1918 BAR
@@JannPoo Riot Whistle is good with it, in particular combined with events like Get Over Here or Righteous Hunt. Safeguard (2) can also help, as somebody can be Taxi for you to get to enemies, in particular if they spawn on empty locations. But you will spend some ammo on bosses with 4+ health anyway, so you just need the engage options only for a limit number of uses in a game anyway.
@@markusschmidt9260 Well yes, but that's the point. You can include several cards to work around the engaged requirement of flamethrower in the same way you can include several cards to work around the 3 damage only of Lightning gun to turn it into 4. I'm not saying that Flamethrower is a bad card or that it is an inferior card, far from it, it's an excellent weapon. It's just that I don't think it's particularly superior to other weapons.
really tempting to create & try shotgun deck, but after everytime the lightning gun always draw me😂
Curious about your choise of Ornate Bow over Timeworn Brand.... Yes, it exhausts to do max damage, but it doesnt require an additional action to reload, and it will likely give you 3 cards at some point.... and overall average willpower + fist or fist +2 will give you a higher boost than Agility + 2.... Also curious why Bryn didnt go with the sawed off...lol
I'm trying to think of a similar list where the matches wouldn't be Travis/Justin. Either Bryn/Justin or Bryn/Travis and I'm drawing a blank.
Shotgun... Cool effect *but* 4XP, 5 cost, 2 ammo, and it takes both hands. Sounds bad to me. I think I have never played this card.
I'd choose Duke for Dunwich. The best weapon and it's almost always in play in turn one.

Overpower fights better than Switchblade 0 at this point.
