It has been 10 months since we lost this magnificent guitar god. I am still in mourning over this loss.😢. R I P sweetheart. There is no greater guitar player on this planet.❤
I turned my 81 year-old mother on to Jeff Beck right after his passing she loves him she's a big Stevie Ray fan also I saw Stevie Ray and Jeff Beck at Cobo Hall Detroit 1989 it's the only time I got to see Jeff Stevie Ray and Jeff are tearing up the heavens above
This is simply impossible! Swing in jazz is understandable. Swing in rock - it happens. But swing in the blues is incredible! Dear Jeff, I am happy that we live on the same planet.
@@craigjohnson1898 What you called is jazz. I don't just know him, I love him. Especially big bands. Basie, Ellington, Miller, Louis Prima, Maynard Fergusson, Lionel Hampton and many others, not to mention Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, are all my favorite artists.
I miss Jeff Beck so very much! There will never be another Jeff Beck.. The true Guitar God.. So sad😢 I was fortunate enough to see Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp, November 10th at the Hard Rock Cafe 11-10-2022, 2 months before he left us 1-10-2023
Exactly. You can keep all those guys who play 50 notes in 4 seconds. Music Has to breath like in this video. One of a kind timbre and tone Just AMAZING
I think what Joel’s did, was write an arrangement for the orchestra, giving Jeff the space to do what he does. With so many musicians on stage, you have to have a plan. Jeff was amazing.
I've listened to pretty much all of Beck's music. This is right there at the top... F*ing unbelievable. Has to be one of his most intense live sessions .
That was sick insanely sick I don't know what it is about Mr. Jeff Beck, I'm glad I got to see him one time 1989 with Stevie Ray Vaughan to my favorites that was that was f****** incredible
RIP Jeff Beck, what an incredible musician. I've just watched this and the version from the Later show, two phenomenal and quite different performances, showing just how much improvisation is going on here. Most guitarists would be happy if they could learn this note by note. Other than some nods to the melody, Jeff was creating this on the spot!
I saw Jeff in the Yardbirds at the Richmond athletic ground Crawdaddy in the sixties and Clapton and Jimmy Page what a great band and how these virtuosos impressed and they all still have the gift . Jeff is in a unique world he created for himself and is incredible . I wish I could play one tenth as good. There must have been something in the water at that time in South West London. NB. Brian May comes from Twickenham and I came from Teddington
claudio cruzat I cant tell I your being a smart ass or using an adjective to describe the note but that was definitely him divebombing of a pinch harmonic on guitar...
@@pjames8683 I agree. Is Hendrix a pioneer ? Zero doubt but I really think beck is the better player and I think Hendrix has would have dropped if he saw steve vai
It is Jules and his band, but I think they’re on tour, looking at the audience. Occasionally JH has one-off guests. Having said that, JB has certainly been on the show.
@@hippierickyman2410 No that was his Hootenanny, on New Year's Eve. This is the tour of Holland's album. Check out the BBC2 Hootenanny, 2003 iirc. Wonderful wonderful guitarist....a genius.

ain't no one in this lifetime that can play like that
His death still bothers me. He was so careful about his health. His guitar playing kept getting better. All of a sudden, he is gone.
Anytime I needed inspiration, Jeff Beck was there. Thank you.
Guitars will roam the earth for eternity looking for Jeff Beck's fingers to once again embrace their necks. RIP.
And caress their slender strings

I'd suggest you go listen to some big bands like Basie, Ellington, Miller, Lawrence etc.
You'll find plenty of swing blues.

Wow, this is just superb …. Jeff is always terrific but this is WOW
Gotta be the most memorable performance by Jeff Beck and band. Magnificent!!
I miss Jeff Beck so very much! There will never be another Jeff Beck..

That guitar is crying for him. Its amazing how music works.
The most expressive guitar player of our time.
Oh you are so right
Oh yeh - you got that right.
Exactly 👍
Of any time.. according to me and according to all top players, George Martin, Herbie Hancock
.. :)

Just heard about Jeff Becks death..........what a huge loss there will never be another like him.
Uwielbiam....Słucham tego codziennie. Coś pięknego!
Now that your gone Jeff, we’re gonna drown in our own tears…😭🪦🎸
He had his own sound. Nobody sounds like Jeff Beck.
From my lens, no one compares ... simply the greatest
i'm still so sad he passed. 40 years long enjoying his guitar and harmonical skills. and by the way: adoring his car working skills.
Still incomparable....
And after the last note fades away, you're just laying back and everything's good with the world.
I miss him every day. He was amazingI
Can’t get enough of this ❤
There was and will always be only one Jeff Beck.
This man is beyond belief. Catch him in the mood and he will send you to heaven.
Amongst all the rock guitarists, there is Jeff --- and the others.
YES. RIP..................😔
@UCHWubvtZMs_HS2soBya6PYg Yes, a genius legend, now gone forever. I am gutted.
I disagree.. i think hendrix is better in expression thru a guitar.
NOBODY.. can copy his sound!
I agree. This brings tears to my eyes because he makes that guitar cry. Words don't do it justice.
Yup when he is on there is no one even in the same zip code as him
He plays mostly with his thumb, he has to use super glue on his thumb to keep the calluses from ripping.
people you are looking at the Master of Guitar. for generations upon generations
GOD I love you Jeff RIP
So sorry he is gone , so music we will never hear..such a loss
The one and only true guitar God.
Jools is such a good musician, picks up every line Jeff plays and smothers them in loving harmony and rythm goodness :)

This dear man is just magic
The guitar should be played with feelings fr the heart n soul not just hundreds notes per second
@@robertoetojo5861 i think the same. I was thinking of a humbucker for my strar..but i watch this..and nope. Now I wont sir jajj

Maybe 3 awful chicks he justly dropped in the past! Ha ha... Or just sad people....
It is their own exquisite punishment.
It's bloody unbelievable how Beck does it....and for 60years and still improving!
I would compel you all to check out the studio version of this performance on 'Jools Holland: Some Friends'. Cheers
I agree. It's the 2003 Hootenanny version. Finest guitar player walking this earth, no question.
Just WONDERFUL!
