  • Welcome to I’ll Knit If I want To! I asked y’all to send in some of your questions (from everything from fiber arts, to designing and on!) so I could put together a little video for y’all every Friday doing my best to answer your questions!
In this week’s episode we cover:
    1. Have you used your handspun for any of your designs, or do you have some upcoming designs that spotlight your handspun? Or, f you were going to substitute your handspun in one of your existing designs, which design (and where, if it's just for a feature like color work) would you put it? I've been trying to perfect my own handspun (completely a beginner though) and keep wondering where I can use some of it-- especially since I don't have a SQ yet.

    2. On occasion I get a skein of yarn that is not one continuous strand and as a result it has a knot. Is this common? What should I do??.... should I cut the knot out and weave in the ends or just continue knitting? This is the second time it's happened when I'm making a gift. Thank you. I love your question and answer videos. Makes me love Friday even more!
    3. Do you have tips on knitting a button band evenly, without having it cinch up the rest of the garment? The only thing holding me back from knitting a cardigan is not the steek, but the button band. I have PTSD from ripping out a button band at least 5 times before giving up on the only cardigan pattern I've ever attempted to follow. I would love to knit The Throwback! Thank you for your time!
    4. You talk alot about ripping back sweaters and reknitting. I have done this many times before but it terrifies me so much! I'm scared that as I rip the yarn out I'll go too far, or I won't put the stitches back on my needles correctly resulting in dropped stitches. Any tips or tricks that you use to make ripping back easier? Thanks so much!
    5. You mentioned you're not afraid of frogging your work, what's the best way to ripping back? I'm an intermediate knitter, but I struggle to add a lifeline unless it's the row I've just done. When it's lace or cables I struggle to see stitches in the same row and end up picking up stitches in different rows. I see people ripping back without lifelines and picking up all stitches, but I'm scare of dropping stitches. Do you add lifelines every now and then or rip back completely?
Bonus Question: Can we see how to style Boho Blush?
