I think it's funny that unlike Colin O'Donoghue or Sarah Bolger, Robert Carlyle isn't doing a completely different accent as Mr. Gold, he's still Scottish, but in real life he's got a much more broad accent. Maybe it's because here he's being easygoing whereas Mr. Gold is fairly intense.
