The primary reason the race pace of the current cars is slower is because of the very high fuel loads they're carrying in the races, and furthermore, the fact 2004 cars qualified with more fuel onboard is irrelevant as those cars are significantly lighter than the current ones regardless of the fuel loads, so, therefore, the significant difference in overall base weight between these cars nullifies the fuel load difference aspect.

That's what we usually do talking cars, don't we? you got formula E for electric formula. Todays car are non sense and would be much faster without the ERS. more than 100kgs of extra weight for 200CV for 40 seconds just doesnt pay. They could put a second V-10 engine and still the 2004 car would weight less

sorry, nothing "brutal" about the hybrid-package rew limited V6. It is just sad and boring actually. Sure the torque is much higher with a hybrid-turbo combination, and the 2017 tires grips where the 2004 tires would "burn" or slide, but what is "brutal" about this? "Brutal" is a 3 litre V10 producing 900+hp at 19000+ rpms passing, when you feel the sound as if the sound alone is about to "melt" through your thorax and rip out the inside of your ears...

Don't fool yourself, F1 2017 cars are faster than 2004 on every way, they are not faster in straights because they don't need to, plus 2017 cars have automatic/insant max torque coming out of the corners because of the hybrid engine, F1 2017 cars can reach 410 km/h if they want to, but due to the shape of current circuits and higher downforces they usually are reaching average max speeds of "just" 330-340km/h, or 378km/h max, only in the Baku straight, they also have a RPM limitation for costs reduction of the engines and due to refueling not being allowed.

Gianni Madda in realtà con il drs e gli oltre 1000 cavalli di Potenza che ha la sf70h non ci sarebbe storia e poi anche la sf70h è propensa a girare alta solo che ha il limitatore più basso il v10 da 3000cc per sviluppare u suoi 950 cavalli doveva girare a 19000 giri la sf70h cambia intorno agli 11000 giri ma ha un motore elettrico che la supporta in accelerazione
avrà anche gli stessi CV ma 1000cv aspirati vanno poi di 1000turbo quindi drs o meno sul dritto la vecchia difficilmente si batte.... ovviamente se prendiamo un altra pista la nuova svernicia la vecchia
