The team is soft af and that’s the reality of it. Playoff teams are built with tuff as nails team captains so I would start with the captains being traded first.

Man, I’m not saying he would have been the second coming of Smith or even rookie Elliott, but why the Cowboys refused to pick up Blake Corum in the draft is beyond me.
He would have been able to provide a good running game due to vision alone. His speed is questionable but as long as he can find holes and is elusive enough, which he was throughout college, that’s better than nothing. We’ll see what the Rams get out of him this season.
I hope Dowdle, Vaughn, or Zeke can have a blowout year for our own sake. 2024 is going to be rough.

I’m not saying he hasn’t lost a step but the last 2yrs here the running offense was way too predictable. If Zeke is in the backfield he was either running up the middle or pass blocking. How would you defend that? Just shoot A or B gaps or blitz.

Zeke should never have been cut last year because he could have made a difference in the short yards and around the goal line. The COWBOYS didn't even replaced him with another fullback but just rely on TB and that didn't work out , yes Zeke can bring the best out in Prescott but it's depend on the play calling also. Just blaming Prescott isn't fair and this is not defending Prescott at all, it's about play calling and evolving in today's NFL.
But he was cut though. The pros actually get paid to decide who can play and who can’t.

Zeke is a quitter. He's from Union/Country... Ohio. Union guys get a contract established... then see how little they can do to fulfill it. Zeke did the same ... Got his big Cabo Contract- and his production began falling off immediately. No more 100 yd/game averages... Less and less and less.. till you were paying him Premium money to get 50 yds/game = Pathetic. Zeke is 180 degrees away from Emmitt .. who gave all he had, all the way through. I'm ashamed Zeke is back on the team. I just hope they give the ball to Dowdle, Davis, and Freeman and let Zeke ride the pine= what's best for the team.
If Zeke is healthy I think he should be the starter. Rico is younger but he has no skins on the wall. Rico is talented but unproven over the course of the season.
