      TY Josh! If you have questions let me know but that's why i made the video lengthy to really show all the things that can go wrong and to do a step by step for someone to follow as long as they are using the same tub as I am but if not i can help you put together your measurements with a different style tub if need be :)

      TY Gecko Boy! Yeah Im hoping I can mass produce these and get them out to people for less than the alternative companies, local I can do for sure, but i'd have to check shipping price for out of staters if it came down to it.

      PS G project was a project started by Mat Sasobek i believe over 10 years ago. You can check his video on it here th-cam.com/video/FEcOyczbIjk/w-d-xo.html
      It characterizes nice tangerine color, green, and bold and just a funky looking pattern and color to give it a cool look, simply just a line bred trait for good color and wonky pattern

      No, you did not, I did not show that in this video because we swtiched over to room heat. We heat and circulate our rooms temp at 85 all day long and dont use heat tape anymore but i ahve some heat tape info here: th-cam.com/play/PLx8bHR1oX-dbR7bSnX5bGOMn4wPvPVOny.html

    Have you had any issues with the humidity in the totes on the wood?

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No because leoaprd geckos are pretty Arid. They only have 1 small little water bowl in there and if they tip it over, it evaporates fast, especailly since we keep our rooms at 85 degrees. That being said, if your shelf is too tight u can melt some extra holes in the tubs to help with evaporation with a soldering iron, or you can build our water proof and mold proof style rack which we use for our humid species like ball pythons. What we do for our ball pythons is take "plastex" which is very cheap and comes in 4x 8 foot sheets just like the plywood does and staple it to the bottom of each shelf, this way, when humidity evaporates up, it goes onto the plastex which is a water proof thin, easy to cut and staple material :) I need to do a video on this in the future too!

    This is awesome and helpful! I’m currently building my breeding rack right now. My question was how did you do the heat tape? Did you cut the heat tape to certain lengths for each shelf or did you run the whole length of the heat tape down the rack?

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So you can do both, "snaking" is easier. here is a playlist i made for people on heat tape below :D

    Do you put a heat Matt on the backs of racks or under the tub

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations

      We used to use flex watt heat tape but now use ambient room temperature of 90 so do not need any additional heat source anymore :)

    Is it okay to have the heat tape on the side? Since they like belly heat?

    • @GeekyGeckoCreations
      @GeekyGeckoCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry what do u mean on teh side? I would do belly heat if u could, otherwise if the heat tape is lets say on teh side of the rack or back of the rack, all teh heat escapes and the gecko wont get anything

  • @jordanfraterrigo774

    Really don’t like this video I think it’s shit cause all the inconsistent numbers he gives flying around he says 24 quart tubs and disclaimer shows 12 quarts same with wood dimensions really should have been redone correctly so didn’t confuse a lot of people
