What an episode?! By far my favourite so far. The long build-up and constant pressure finally exploded in this episode 10. Fantastic! I'm still working on my Original Andor EP but couldn't resist covering this scene's soundtrack. It's 3 parts : Kino Loy's Speech, the escape from the detaining cells and the run towards the exit.

The prison part alone tops multiple whole series for me all together. Squid game, House of money. They shot everything so well. It was feeling like how tf would you ever escape from that prison. And they did it man.. so good
One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest was the *only* one to hit me as hard! And that alone is an achievement!😊
I love The Great Escape but man no prison break has hit me harder than this one, those shots zooming out as the music takes over and we see the entire prison escaping, damn that gets me emotional.

he showed them the one way out , but only the one he himself couldn't take...
But the spark that started the fire was Cassian. Then heavily motivated by the 100 people that were grilled and the old guy dying.
The Captain could've just take a chair or some plate and hang onto it. But i guess it wont be in time so the helicopters might get him.

How long we hang on, how far we get, how many of us make it out, all of that is now up to us. We have deactivated every floor in the facility. All floors are *cold.* Wherever you are right now, get up, stop the work. Get out of your cells, take charge and start climbing. They don't have enough guards and they know it. If we wait until they figure that out, It'll be too late. We will never have a better chance than this and "I would rather die trying to take them down than giving them what they want." We know they *fried* a hundred men on Level 2. We know that they are making up our sentences as we go along. We know that no one outside here knows what's happening. and now we know, that when they say we are being released, we are being *transferred* to some other prison to go and die and THAT ends today! Tony Gilroy really knows how to execute a brilliant/emotional monologue.
The whole time I was smiling like an idiot, but the second Kino Loy said "I can't swim" I felt like I'd just had the biggest slap in the face.
I absolutely adored the way Serkis played Loy's last few seconds. Like, he wasn't angry, or sad, or distressed. It was like he'd known all along he had no way out, not even the one alluded to in the episode title. He said it himself, he'd decided he was dead, and that he was going to do his best to get everyone else out. Those last few seconds, ranges across a multitude of emotions. Serenity, amusement, disbelief, and pathos. The plan worked, everyone was going to escape, except him. Genuinely a moving, and heartbreaking performance from Serkis.
It more than makes up for the way his talents as an actor were wasted in the movies.
"My name...is Kino Loy. And I am speaking to you from the command center on level eight..."
Who would've thought that Gollum can't swim after he found the one ring at the bottom of a lake.

That quote is already on the throne of the greatest Star Wars quotes ever for me. It's sharing the throne with the equally powerful "...I'm no Jedi" and "tell your sister you were right".

2:05 this moment had me SO emotional...i had wet eyes watching them running towards the exit. it felt so deserved, it felt like pure freedom! the entire scene! i was so happy for the prisoners...that they managed to escape that hell...

Andor make empire looks cruel and and evil rules the galaxy with a iron fist
The raw energy from the entire sequence was so gripping. Andor and its characters restored my faith in Star Wars
Serkis got the redemption he deserved in Star Wars... not a failed CGI flop, but a man, who saved thousands
This is one of the best most motivating speeches ever I love it when he says if u see people lost or confused u stop and help them leave no man behind

Everything about this show is a masterclass in filmmaking. The soundtrack alone is beautiful, sorrowful yet inspiring at the same time. There needs to be some serious recognition come awards season.
Completely agree, I have never expected to see a truly worthly StarWars series from Disney. Now I shut up.
In the episode: most of the characters had two ways out. Through the Imperials and into the water, or death. But two characters only had the one way out… Kino because he can’t swim, and Lonni because he is in it too deep to be allowed to simply walk away.
The title of this episode was no joke
Such a great title. Amazing writing! Kino’s revelation that he couldn’t swim gave so much more weight to his character and his speech.
And lets not forget Luthen who has sacrificed himself for the cause during his equally amazing speech. "... I burn my life to create a sunrise that I'll never see... what's my sacrifice? EVERYTHING!!"

Prison story lines are always hype cause the build up to the escape is always such a thrill. This was one of the best I've seen.
I found myself smiling and chanting, "ONE WAY OUT!!!"

The score at 2:05 gave me chills. Fantastic episode. Great Star Wars content.
same! I got instant goosebumps when I heard the score at 2:05! It reminded me of 'Your father would be proud' from rogue one for some reason, and made me extra emotional!!
The sheer build up to the actual break out, and the pay off of it all... This episode was so rewarding. And if that wasn't enough, we were treated to incredible acting from Andy Serkis and Stellan Skarsgard, as well as Diego Luna, while we were at it. This episode was so damn powerful.
Excellent music as always, friend. Captured the rising victory of the prisoners perfectly.

the best prison break i´ve ever seen in sci-fi :D not only because how well done the scene was. but also how they set the prison up throughout the episodes. you felt the desperation, the horror. and the tension was at an all time high all the time. they were powerless and opressed and then when they finally are able to execute their plan you are just cheering like crazy :D never before has the empire felt that threatening. and never had the stakes felt so high for our main characters. it really helps that there are so many new characters whose faits you dont know and thus cant predict what will happen :D (looks at you kenobi -,-)

Oh my God, WHAT A SOUNDTRACK! And The episode: amazing, AMAZING!
I think this is gonna be one of those tracks that'll get me instantly emotional when I listen to it. It reminds me of this track from Lawrence of Arabia, 'Lawrence rescues Gasim', the way these tracks build up to such a huge orchestral grande booming sound, just fantastic. Ik ppl like to shit on fans that praise Andor too much, but i dont care if it sounds cringe, this is some brilliant music-making, when most blockbusters and big-budget movies have less musical uniqueness.
this was the best part of the score so far you felt the triumph and the loss.

Awesome Scene And Music. Serkis is just on another level man. Amazing episode and can't wait for the rest. This and Mando are in a league of their own. I think Andor goes to Luthen And them with Saw go to save Bix. Mon gets exposed and goes on the run to lead The Rebellion.

I think we can all agree that Andor was an unexpected bomb that took us all by surprise. I think the sheer quality and artfulness is enough to redeem the crap pit that Disney's Star Wars shows have been. It made 2022 worth living.

Watching the aerial view of men in white, swimming away from the roundish looking prison. Kind of evokes imagery of sperm cells impregnating an egg cell. Like this moment is the birth of something new.
Just like Luthen, Kino sacrifices everything for a sunrise he'll never see.

Before his incarceration, Serkis saw Kino as a shop steward who fought for workers’ rights, which unfortunately caused him to be viewed as a troublemaker.

The original version has just been released (My name is Kiro Loy) and it's quite accurate to it so congratulations! In fact i think this is better. Probably the original score fits better for the show, but this one wins the original in terms of a musical piece.

I haven't been this far at the edge of my seat since playing KoToR for the first time. Rogue One stole the show of all of the post Lucas Star Wars stuff... Andor the show is stealing the show from all of the Disney star wars tv shows... And Kino Loy stole the show from Andor itself. (Thunderous Applause).

There were 5000 prisoners he motivatred, there is no fucking way none of them left him there to die. Helped him swim, improvised something he could hang on to float etc. He is not dead, I like to think he got help and made it out.
