Hey, that black dude is a very familiar TV and movie actor. Surprised to see him in a Wards commercial.

.... throughout the 80's and 90's, I remember seeing him in police, military and "dad" roles, in both feature film and television.... never saw him play a "bad guy".... yet I still can't recall his name, for the life of me....
