0:27 Ice-cream wasn't actually a cover of Selena's Gomez's song. It's their colab with Selena Gomez. So, it's both of their song.
Yup, she featured with them, same as Kawdi B did for another track - and ruined it, IMO.
Selena Gomez collab was probably the best integrating of another artist with BP not sounding like they're in two separate songs mashup together, though I like KAMU a lot more as a song. Cardi wasn't really the problem with that song, which had some good BP vocals. The song sounded too much like a teen song from a Disney live action movie as someone once commented. Not a fan of Tommy Brown songs with BLACKPINK he doesn't fit BLACKPINK style really. I'd be willing to forego the AriPink collab everyone wants if they'd stop working with him. LTHM was a great English language song.

Just to clarify, it wasn't the song, as such - I REALLY dislike that woman's 'voice' - it's like crossing nails on a blackboard, a knife scraping on a plate, and a crow's cawing* 😢 Her delivery isn't that good and her enounciation is terrible.

LALISA wasn't BLACKPINK's song. This is Lisa's solo debut song. Lalisa Manoban aka Lisa is currently a member of BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK is currently the biggest girl group right now. They set 5 Guinness World Records with their How You Like That song in 2020. Lisa is a singer, a rapper, a very versatile dancer, and a dance coach who teaches trainees how to dance.This music video have more than 70 million views in one day.

LISA is LALISA MANOBAN, born Pranpriya but changed her name at suggestion of fortune teller to Lalisa (the one who is praised), not uncommon to do this in Thailand. She had waited over a month to hear back about audition. A week later she got the call from YG to say she was only one chosen from the 4,000 person audition or so the story goes, some would suggest the name change worked. She is professionally known as Lisa of BLACKPINK, Korean idols usually having a 2 syllables name when written in hangeul.
So this MV is her being introduced to anyone in the world who didn't already know her name and showing off her many sides with 14 different outfits and looks to say she's versatile (also probably helps attract more advertising gigs for her, though she's already doing pretty well there).
Her English is great considering it's her 3rd language in terms of fluency level and Korean her 2nd and her native Thai. She also speaks some Japanese and basic Mandarin Chinese (she was dance mentor on seasons 2 and 3 of Youth with You, a Chinese music competition reality tv show to create an idol group, her no nonsense attitude to getting dances right was legendary in season 2 where they wanted her to be more strict with trainees, but she showed her softer charming side also and contestants fangirled over her).

It supposed to be Lisa’s first solo work called ‘Lalisa’. Not Blackpink’s Lalisa.
Lalisa Manoban is her full Thai name, but usually they just call her, Lisa. Blackpink consists of Jennie, Rose, Jisoo and Lisa.
Yup, it's all LISA - her full name is LALISA, hence the song title. She also changed the colours of her contacts at times, too, which can make it even more confusing if you're new to what this lady can do.

She speaks five languages, Thai, English,Korean, Japanese, basic Chinese. She was born in Thailand so that is her native language and I believe she already spoke English when she went to Korea to start training. Lisa also has her own TH-cam channel called lillifilm and she posts her dance videos and vlogs there.

You really should get into BTS too, I'm sure you heard of them. 3 rappers, 4 vocalists. Their fanbase is gigantic as well, like Blackpink's. I'm a big fan of both groups, they're both very talented. BTS does have a much much larger discography though (over 200+ songs), and have been around longer than Blackpink. Some of the BTS members also write and produce a lot of their songs. Their songs also cover many genres of music, including rock, EDM, RnB, rap hiphop trap, ballads, etc. They even have a song that uses a South African EDM beat, and they include a popular South African dance move in their dance choreography. That song is called Idol.

I think the stiff outfit and setting muted Lisa a bit (making Rosé performance more visually stunning by comparison), but BLACKPINK TH-cam channel released the more impressive LALISA SPECIAL STAGE video 2 days later which included the great black and gold outfit from the MV:

Now THIS is how the American tv performance should have looked (though yeah you can't have an outfit change halfway through a live performance). This is how you help a great performer like (my ultimate bias) Lisa to shine.
I love the song and think it's the kind of ballsy move that only a mononym superstar with confidence and swag could pull off, but it needed to be paired with another song that would balance the release (like similar to my wishes with Jennie's solo, I was disappointed there was no extended fast rap verse to show off Lisa's skills outdoing her LTHM rap, possibly in the b-side. NOTE TO YG: WE NEED AN EDGY RAP LINE B-SIDE ON THE NEXT BLACKPINK EP for JenLisa and a vocal line song for ChaeSoo).

I suggest before reacting or saying anything from your reaction pls read first the title for you not to ask questions of what is her name and not be confused... how it is possible that every scene is a different girl? You see that the title is Lisa - Lalisa meaning it's Lisa's song and no other members of blackpink are involved. (Not spreading hate)
