KCAL News meteorologists Evelyn Taft and Olga Ospina walk us through the coming phases of Tropical Storm Hilary as the center sweeps through Southern California overnight.
For those of us who don't live in SoCal's (usually) perfect weather, listening to a TV Meteorologist explain that "yellow and orange means heavy rain" is freaking hysterically funny.
8 pm and 5 inches rain so far my house (Angeles Nat'l Forest West). Raining since 8 am this morning. No deluge, no wind so far. Just steady rain. Our worry is mudslide from the burn areas impacting the only road in/out.

The comments section shows you why being a meteorologist is a thankless job. They have to prepare for the worst, guys. Weather forecasting isn't math, and it's much worse to under-predict.
