  • In the UK 1988 cic warriors video, the music, "nowhere to run" was replaced by a track called "Just a Fugitive" by Alan Brackett. For those who have been unable to track a copy down, heres the clip.

Why is this song so unknown and underground?! someone out there in the endless depths of the internet must have an artist name or something! why did they change this for the DVD ? who knows. All i know is I NEED THIS SONG

Nowhere to Run was used for the original theatrical release and the US home video releases, the song here is just a result of not being able to get the rights for the UK VHS and so it was changed for specifically the UK VHS release, the DVD represents the original theatrical soundtrack

Nowhere to run is the original song, it appeared on the vinyl soundtrack. They probably couldn't secure the use of nowhere to run for the original VHS release hence the replacement song. My first copy of The Warriors on VHS from the early 90's has Nowhere to run, i first saw it on a rental video from the 80's which is how i heard the replacement song.

This was not the original song in the film, that was 'Nowhere to run',this version came out in the late 80s in the UK.

I actually first saw the warriors version with this song and have had it for years. I only learned about "Nowhere to run" when I got the album a few years ago. This not only is very much in tune with the scene and with the movie, but it's also a cool song, whereas "Nowhere to run" is just ridiculous...watching gang members, criminals really, running around, waiting to beat or get beat, and listening to those awful saxophones and that dude talking about combing his hair...Tsk tsk
