    I bought an pure sine wave 2500 W inverter of this brand 7 years ago. The performance has been fabulous through out those years. I used this to covert power from a 24V-300Ah lithium battery (Laid- acid battery in earlier days) of my off grid solar power station. It has successfully drive my washing machine with heating function (Maxium ~2000W) for years. Despite it get hot after this (Especially summer time), it is still running today. (While I should bought an inverter with higher capacity.)
    The only repairing is the cooling fan bearing bursted recently and I have to replace it. Other parts still in a good condition to support daily operations.
    But I do agree that when you are going to use this type of inverter, basic knowledge on electricity usage is needed. Especially for the earthing, I built another socket for this. I also applied several Circuit Breakers after it's output to protect the inverter and the 220V devices.

    Careful with the Idea of connecting grounds... These inverters have no neutral, your two wires are two phases. If your inverter is 220v you would read 110v between one phase and ground. If you connect ground wires (especially the input side) you will essentially end up shorting one side to ground because typically in your home breaker box neutral is bonded to ground. This will fry your inverter.

      Only in countries that have 110v supply. Many countries have single phase 240v domestic supply. (AU, UK, ZA, etc)

    If I look at the power cord for my 2Kw fan heater the wires for that are thinner than the internal wires on this inverter and I have not had any issues with my heater in the many years I have used that!

    I have the 1500watt one of this make in my RV and its been great - I have it feeding a soft start 4 socket extension lead - the most I ever pull is a 900w microwave - we have a rule only one large appliance on at a time ie toaster/kettle/coffee maker - we have a led indicator switch conveniently place ti trigger a 120a relay so its not left on when not in use - was temted to go bigger but out 320ah lifepo4 house battery only has a 120a BMS

      So there both red cause there both actives !
      there is no neutral
      You need men to have neutral and that's not on portable power😅

    Thanks for the video - was curious on how sketchy these were since I bought a "1kW/2kW" inverter for off the grid use. Seems somewhat sketchy but not dangerously so which is good enough for me at the price. :D Just commenting to be a classic youtube know-it-all, I don't think drill will not pull its rated power at no load.
    But it's nice to see that I'm set for a proper island rave. :D

      Charging one battery with another.... I would recommend another inverter for that job. This inverter will keep your TV going during a 4 hour power outage.

      Hi I bought it on Ebay for R3500 = $200 just because their return policy was better if the inverter did not work.

      It is a feature that you really want an inverter to have, avoid "modified sine" or any other marketing nonsense. It needs to say "Pure Sine" somewhere. SPWM is just the way it is generated.

      Hi, yes I am pretty satisfied. It does exactly what I need it to do. It will charge anything but I would not use this with Lithium batteries.

      Lithium has different and specific charging parameters. Im not sure what this unit puts out because I haven't seen the full video yet but I have been building battery banks out of lithium 18650 cells and am well acquainted with the dangers of using the inappropriate charging device for a 12 volt lithium battery.
      Lithium battery cells don't self regulate the same way a lead acid cell would. Lead acid is pretty neat in that you can overcharge it a little and it will stabilize at it's comfortable resting voltage after awhile after disconnecting them, even when connected in series like you see in a car battery. Lithium doesn't do that and so it needs a BMS or Battery Management System. A lot of hobby lithium batteries don't have BMSs and so there is the danger of overcharging, or overdischarging a cell in the pack and potentially causing a nokia-esque conflagration.
      RV style lithium drop in batteries like you find for the BATTLEBORN batteries should have a built in BMS it says drop in because they are installed in the same systems that lead acid batteries were used in so the system lacks a BMS, but no worries because the drop in lithium batteries have it built in so they effectively self regulate like a lead acid does naturally.
      I'd be happy to relay some knowledge to you if you have any questions, but dear god do your own research on top of the advice you get because you never know who will troll you.

    Hi Christopher, I have a similar Pure sine wave inverter, 2000W / 4000W max There is no output, The Mosfets (4 pieces ) have gone defective, sadly there is no identification on them.
    I wonder if you could suggest a Mosfet to replace them as you seem to have a similar unit.

      Hi John, sadly I don't have the inverter with me otherwise I would give you the fet numbers it uses. I am assuming that you have a 240V model as well. This means that the DC-DC converter on the inside produces voltages of 400+ volts. I would say have a look on Digikey/Mouser/RS for a fet that can handle around 600V and a current of around 30A. Something like the IRF27N60 or IPW60R070C. Check the datasheets just to make sure they can handle the current and voltages. Also see if you can figure out what the pinout of those fets are and get a replacement that matches it.

      Suppose to be. I did not check on the oscilloscope but it does not make the annoying noise that modified/fake sine inverters do so I think it is.

    WOW!! LVYUAN brand? finally i find a INVERTER that uses the EGS002 control board!!! they are very reliable and they are only 4 dollars,or 4 euros, to replace in case they fail; **THAT IS GREAT**
    Thanks for showing those internals,that is what i was looking for;
    and that thing LOOKS GOOD,it really does,lots of mosfets,and well built; (too bad it has only 2 of those small transformers,shd be 3 or 4 )

      @@voltworksofficial damm... it looks like it has a 3rd transformer under the lid,it has thick wires going to the lid!! it also serves as a UPS,the video author said?? if it is so,i do not want it,i will choose another similar Lvyuan without that

    Is there a chance 2000w is the peak wattage?

      Hi I am not sure really. I tested it up to like 1300W. It said the peak wattage was 4000W for starting motors and such and 2000W should be the max continuous wattage.

    These inverters are generally used in RVs, so mentioning that the earths are not connected makes no sense. Unless the user hammers an earth spike into the ground, where would you connect the earths to? I guess you could connect them to the chassis for shock prevention

      Hi, so RVs or caravans in South Africa have small DB boxes with Earth leakage breakers for safety, but the primary use case for us is using these as backup power during power outages which can happen many times a week. But if it does not have an earth connection then anything you plug into it is dangerous during normal/non-inverter times. Hope that clarifies my use case and problem.

      earth steak dose nothing if the supply is not referenced connecting neutral to earth works with a reference stake to keep it referenced not as a fault path

    I got 1 of these. Its very weak. Gets hot. Fans never turn. I dont use it for fear of fire. It could not even turn my desk top.

    If you were wanting to power your house I would of opted for the 24v-240v lvyuan CZ-3000W ups inverter charger. It has a 9000w peak for half a second and rated at 3000w continuous. It also has a 40amp in built charger that will charge you battery if you have no sun for solar input via the mains. Also has a earth point. Heavier duty qualitly build weighing in at 25kg with six power outlets.
    The one you have isn't built for households it's more of a RV, caravan, camping or for light ireggular use. They can't handel heavy loads for long or they over heat

      9000 watts at 24 volts is more than 375 Amps: WOW, that is a STARTER MOTOR of a V8 car; 2 large car batteries would last the whole of 10 minutes,tops; at 3000 watts ,125 Amps, they last a bit more...

      Yeah puts out amazing amount of power. I run four 12v 230ah deep cycle agm batteries on my solar se up. Eight 250w solar panels and a 60 amp mppt charger controller...oh and a 3500w generator for days of rain. No issues yet. Happy dayz.

    this is an it earthing arrangement you have to really connect earth to neutral and steak it ti the actual earth to reference it or breakers will not work and shocks can happen this needs a plan to execue not a link

    Bought the same brand, but the 12VDC - 1.5/3kW version and surprise, surprise it lasted 3 seconds; BANG! and then smoke from inside. The sound was really loud, like a gunshot. Didn't even get a chance to plug in anything and was dead. The DCV display was still working, green LED on, but the AC display was dead and of course no power on the AC side. Made in china; what to expect? Clearly was not tested before leaving the factory, otherwise they would have enjoyed the bang, not me.

    with all due respect. Review ? You test the inverter to half its specs performance. No sine wave test. You should have said that at the beginniong to not waste peoples time.

      Hi Novelistus, Sorry you did not find what you were looking for in the video. The wires inside the inverter are so thin that it would have been hazardous to test it at 2000W for any amount of time. The inverter serves the purposes that I bought it for which is to keep my PC, wifi and a few lights on for an hour or so during power outages. You can run some power tools with it. Most people do not know what an oscilloscope is and I am sure many have forgotten what a sine wave is as well so that would not help make the video more entertaining.

      @@UKsystems I have a cheap 3000W one and bought a small 500W Victron as a backup. The Victron is made in China too, but I think better components and quality control. I have EPever, Victron and a few noname components on my boat as I can't afford to have it all Victron. But I do agree, from my now about decade long experience, Victron has been the most reliable and thats worth something when you travel in remote places of the world with your boat. And a lot of the "cheap crap" isn't as bad as its reputation either. Everybody decides on their own.I usually spend the money needed to get good quality for reliability.
      My critique here was just that I didn't agree with the way the poster tested the unit. It was more or less a waste of my time watching a video where somebody promises a test and then doesn't test. Anyhow .... as to your feedback. Agree.

      IT earth arrangement it is isolated terra other ones require a reference steak to keep the potential in neutral and earth the same as the actual earth
