Social skill is intelligence. It’s sad it’s not recognized universally!! Understanding human psychology is fundamental in social interactions. One could argue semantics - but being able to gauge emotional parameters is critical - whether it’s applied to altruistic or nefarious end, is intelligence.
Because social skill when analysed closely is not really intelligence. It is just a skill. Understanding human psychology is intelligence. A social person may or may not understand the psyche of an individual.

Successful doesn't mean only about earning money. For me if you are happy then you are successful. And don't compare rich people being successful over intelligent people. Nicola tesla, Albert Einstein , Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton were the most intelligent and genius people and I guess they weren't rich enough materialistically but their birth is successful as human beings. Our education system now only focuses on "how to earn money to sell ur intelligence to stupid capitalist people those who are destroying our environment and our simple and intellectual lifestyle in the name of modernization and technology. We should learn how to be happy in simple things and try to enrich our brain with knowledge so that we could make depression free and caring society for our next generation with rational thoughts 😇.
To me success means peace of mind and my time.Nothing else matters.

I'd like to share with you a story, it's a story of an older woman, who lived by the side of a river up in the mountains, the Himalayas.
She was a divine soul and she carried with her bread in a sack. And one day, she was sitting by the edge of the river where she lived

Smart people don't give much priority to money..... they give Priority for sufficient money but not for more money. finally it priority matters for any thing and there is no clear cut definition to success in life. Priority and satisfaction are best parameter to assess the success.

You know why farmers don't get paid much? because they aren't that productive in India. Farmers can grow the same amount of crops with less work and fewer people and they don't do that in India. A chemist who makes medicines is doing far more difficult work. That's why they get paid more. Stop with this romanticising of farmers.They are just like everyone else.

Narcissism more clearly determines who attains top position than intelligence. There is a high correlation between CEOs, politicians, etc. and narcissism. By contrast being of higher intelligence may involve higher degrees of emotional intelligence and empathy. Both of which are absolute killers to the ability to crush anyone and anything on the way to the top.

100% truth. Managers and upper management don’t do jack sh1t and make way more when in reality it’s the lower level analysts etc. doing the most work for less pay. Again, life is not meant to be fair and never will be.
If something goes wrong the Manager and upper level management is answerable not some low level analysts. With Authority comes responsibility and you get paid for handling that level of uncertainty.

It's a comprehensive approach that takes us to success. Not just discipline, lifestyle, food habits(because you are what you eat🙃), emotional intelligence, family/spouse support, and the whole atmosphere around you, I think all these together will make you successful. Or you should make all these happen if you want to become successful. Because successful people are not born, they are made!
Everyone can earn more money, you want to realize what is your strength, how to practice that and achieve that is next step. The way is simple, find a job that will help you pay your monthly bills then find your real interest and practice on that till to reach your success. Finding your real interest will take some time, don't jump basis on your initial interest, wait for continuity and consistency, wait for a year or two then decide your real interest.
People that are able to make connections with the right people, work hard, prioritize and deliver when it's needed, achieve a few great things to brag about, and probably the most important one - are able to lie to themselves and others have a good chance of making it to the top. Real people that carry all their burdens and worries all the time, turn red and have their heart out of the chest when they lie, can't smile when it hurts, can't hide it when they disagree, can't negotiate and compromise in their favor, can't manipulate and deceive, almost never make it to the top, no matter how smart they can be.

I am an example of how false this is. I have neither the background, "Daddy"'s money or otherwise, instead quite the opposite, yet from your conventional standards I am quite "Successful".
1. Resilience -> Consistently keep going
2. Risk Taking -> Ability to stomach uncertainty
3. Opportunity Identification and Making -> Ability to Create and Grasp Opportunities and understand the Time Investments
4. Execution -> You don't have to be the smartest, but you have to be smart enough to execute
5. People -> You need to know how to talk, approach and ask for help, mentorship of drive "Sales" -> Selling yourself, your skills, your employability, your whatever. You are a brand and the sooner you figure out that first impressions and how you present yourself, how you speak matters, the better.
The people who complaint and say Daddy's money are absolute idiots, and I have met allot of them, in today's world the opportunities are endless and the person who is willing to take risk, go through the pain and play the value game will win long term.

Here we are assuming success is only ‘Financial’ success which is how mostly society views it. Also ‘Smart’ is subjective, everyone has different skills example a neurosurgeon will be considered ‘smart’ by some standards but have him wire his own house rather than a electrician who is seen as lower on the social ladder, bet he will burn down his house. Or have him grow crops. People become smart in whatever field they invest their time.
It's also about being Truthful that shows ones culture, values, principles & the virtues that leads to success.

compared to becoming a millionaire in one year, it is easier to become a billionaire in 10 years. this has everything to do with compounding. anyone who understand how compound interest works can cross the threshold of 'rich becoming richer' in 10 years. even those who don't understand it, but still practice the investment strategies recommended by it blindly can cross that threshold in that same time. simply put, put most of your money in fixed deposits till your monthly income from interest crosses your monthly expenses. when you reinvest the balance interest into fixed deposits, you are becoming richer. the more you reduce your monthly expense, by living a frugal life, the faster you will cross over. there are of course higher risk, higher reward strategies, and those require more luck.
