I don’t know why people say only shoots 380 with the modern ammo they have today there’s no reason to Carry anything larger if you’re not law-enforcement. I’m not really listening to half of the crap he saying but this is probably one of the finest 380 pistol in the world that’s why they came out with a new model but it’s essentially almost identical the way it functions in this older model which is a phenomenal my life save the best 380 out their model 84 FS cheetah with a D Cocker is my choice
This was a decorator piece in my Grandparents house for Yeats. When the family house got sold I grabbed it to keep it alive. Thanks for supporting the channel!
....great review...I like the how you told about all the different models to begin. I have an 85. These are beefy and chunky for a 380, but I love the style of them...
They are such fun firearms. Crazy to think such a heavy gun cam have so much felt recoil. But they feel so great in the hand! Thanks for supporting the channel
Get some Lokgrips for your 84f. Feels like a whole new gun. Bought my 84f online and had buyers remorse almost immediately upon holding it for the first time. Like it didn't lock into your hand and the gun was a lot thicker. The Lokgrips changed that. It locks into my grip and is has a very predicable point.
The 84/85FS is pretty much a scaled down 92 series. Or the 92 series is a scaled up 80 series. The ergonomics of the 84/85 is second to none. Have several myself.
The Academy Sports and outdoors in Olathe KS. had one in the backroom still brand new in spring of 2018, i ended up buying a 92FS instead but i still wonder if its in there because i asked the guy what beretta pistols he had back there and he found it tucked away in their back room, never had it on display.
I don't know how many stories I have about shops that had one tucked away, that I just learned by happenstance. I always wonder what happened to those guns and wonder what happened to them.....the ones that got away.
I was so lucky to pick this one up. Great guy in town traded it to me. Wish I did not have to git rid of this one! Safe and Plentiful Shooting to you and yours!
Just received a 84 BB from palmetto , it was an Italian police trade in, it was$399.00. It was advertised as Perfect. Well it ain’t. On the surface it looked ok for the price but perfect no. I got it cheap so what do I expect. My main complaint was internally it was filthy I wish I owned a sonic cleaner. The barrel bore was very dirty as were the slide internals. The magazine was vert dirty inside. There was an importer stamped on the frame so I guess P, just bought a batch from them cheaply sight unseen. The good part is the action seems to function okay- haven’t shot it yet. Btw, Aim Surplus has new Mecgar mags for a good price and they are very nice, perfect. Lastly the slide spring is very powerful, gloves recommended for the slide serrations.
Sounds like you got a good deal. All the grime should come out. And if you are like me, you will enjoy cleaning her up and getting her looking pretty again. Good pick up!
I just got mine from Palmetto as well yesterday. I would easily say that mine is at least 95% to 98% in finish. There are only 3 very small nicks in the frame. Even the mag is in excellent condition. I guess I got lucky. About 3 years ago, I also bought the same pistol from Classic Arms. What I got was a very pitted handgun. I even paid extra for a hand select unit. I sent it back as soon as the box was opened at my FFL.
It wasn't an advance in technology resulting in polymer frames that permitted smaller pistols. There have been many small all metal pistols. Polymer allowed for lighter pistols (sometimes an advantage, sometimes a disadvantage) and pistols less expensive to manufacture. Personally, I have no desire to fire a 12 oz. 380 ACP.
I understand, and I probably should have been more specific when I said smaller. You are correct in your clarification on it, which made it cheaper and lighter. I am with you 380 in too light of a package is very unpleasant to shoot!
Troof! I have safe guns that the Bucket keeps, and then I have Channel guns that I have to trade for more content. Some are harder than others to let go
Very nice pick up as love the history behind it.....Nice share....Good stuff.....

Well said
380 is fine, I don't think I'd feel confident carrying a 32 acp although they do work as well
I am from Terre Haute and love the background you are using. Your videos are great keep it up.

@@theBucketshallnotbeinfringed I just wish they were not so large. Big for a 380. Love the style though....

They feel sooooooo good in the hand. The 380 is snappy though. Great guns!
@@bruceblackerby3742 I like the Browning BDA as well, of course it's made by Beretta also
Where did you get the night sights put on?

Have 2 - love them - effective
This is one of the guns I was really sad that I had to get rid of. Wish I was like you and had 2! Safe and Plentiful Shooting to you and yours!
...I'm a two of each guy. I have an 85 and might get another 85 or an 84...smarter for me to get another 85 for magazine compatibility...
Nice berreta 84 , my friend got one online, his was more beat up . It worked and we never had any issues. Haven't seen any at a show in a while

Your in your 40s right?😅

Guns are like women.some are great to look at maybe play with but, they may not be a keeper...lol.i want them all!

I'd rather carry this than a lcp any day , plastic pocket 380s suck
It feels so good in the hand for sure!
They are mostly junk. Polymer micro .380s I mean
Its One handed gun..stick to glocks😏
It is heavy, but I like how the grip fills the hand, and the mag capacity is a plus!
