If that gun could talk. You would never have a good nights sleep.😂
I got mine a new barrel for its 100th birthday 2018
Sounds like it got a great present
Best of the Best is 1911 and modified 1911 in 9mm.
I, too, love the 1911. I love my colt in 38 Super as well. Thanks for supporting the channel!
Terrible pistol if you shoot a lot of 9mm pistols will agree. I have probably 10 9mm pistols and this one for far is the worst 9mm pistol in my safe. Yes It going boom every time I pull the trigger but the grip is awkward the signs are terrible snappie and after few magazines the trigger snaps and your finger hurts I found the same problem with the Glock 43.
This is not my favorite gun either. And I am surely not a fan of the Glock 43. What is your favorite gun?
@@theBucketshallnotbeinfringed To carry H&K VP9SK or Glock 19 gen3 (finger grooves removed) as compacts. Glock 17 gen5 or VP9 if I go full size.
Se nota que es una 38 super por la patada que da en cada disparo. La 45. Es mucho. Más. Acentad. No patea
This is a 1918 Colt 1911. It is US Property Marked. All of these were in 45 ACP. Check out my other videos. I have a Colt in 38 Super. Thanks for supporting the channel!
No hate towards anything gun stuff, but I'd just say don't give "them" an inch. The MCK doesn't covert the pistol into anything. It's still your same pistol. Just with accessories now. 🙂 It would be pretty cool for a backpack set up. Adds more room for 🅱️aint too.
Biutiful gun.
Thank you. It is something I feel blessed to have in my collection. Thanks for supporting the channel!
Thanks for this. I just picked this up and I thought my FFL or the store I bought it from didn't include the manual.
Glad I could be of some help. And thanks for supporting the channel!
That belongs in a museum ~Indiana jones!
That is so funny. I did a Freedom of Information Act request on this gun. And it was in a museum facility prior to going to the CMP! Thanks for supporting the channel!
cmp ?
Yes it was through the CMP
@theBucketshallnotbeinfringed I'm trying to obtain one myself.
They are a great deal. Just understand that you might be getting non matching, or some post war parts. And if you know that, you will be happy when you get your piece of history!
I carried one on duty for years, the old saying that they all fall to the hard ball.
My father was a MP and carried one as well. Thanks for your service, and for supporting the channel.
BABOOŞ
My father had one of these, but his had the square trigger gaurd. Unfortunately though not long before my father passed away in 2016, the pistol was stolen along with everything else. The people even stole the cabinets off the wall in the kitchen. He had decades worth of firearms, some of them classic firearms that are hard to find now. The guys got arrested though, apparently they were drug users and just wanted to steal stuff to sell quick, so they could buy drugs. Nothing was recovered though. My father left on a trip for two days, and when he got back everything was gone.
That sounds terrible. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad losing everything.
I think your pistol is damaged or something, because these pistols are usually not so bad. They're not fantastic but much better than what I'm seeing here. They were manufactured back in the early 60's. You have the second variant of it, I prefer the first variant with the black plastic grips. The slide is a bit different on it compared to this one, and it seems to be a little bit better made. I think the second variant was an attempt to cut some corners, to make it more affordable to manufacture.
It is not uncommon for budget gun manufacturers to start cutting corners. Glad to hear earlier ones ran better than mine.
I won this gun on GB being sold by legacy collectables.
I rented a Hudson at a indoor range when the first came out. It was a soft shooter , and looked cool. Wasn't the most accurate gun I've shot , but ran alright. Don't see many of those
When they run right they are so much fun. That is why Daniel Defense bought the rights to it. I hear theirs run alot better than Hudson's
My dream sidearm is one of these originals
When I finally got one it was one of my happiest WW1/2 pickups for sure!
@ I definitely want an old WW1 pickup. I’d give an ungodly amount of money to find one in good condition
@@TheCopyNinja733they are very expensive, but it is so cool shooting history!
I just won am interesting Walther model 7 on GB via legacy collectables.
I might win your model 7 on legacy via GB
The rear looks like the inspiration to the px4 storm
It has a very cool look for sure. Thanks for supporting the channel!
I’ll probably think I might just buy this for sure
I think you will really like it!
Beautiful piece of History! Thank you for sharing a masterpiece.
It is one of my favorite guns in the safe! Thanks for supporting the channel!
My problem with this is I have a stream light 7A I wanted to use with it a lot guess that won’t work then
My fav gun
I love the 1911 so much. And I have always been a Colt FanBoy. So to get a WW1/WW2 gun was a dream for me. Thanks for supporting the channel!
Got mine yesterday ! Basspro-5% military discount ! $597 includes tax !
You did so well. Congratulations
Awesome 1911. 👍 I have my Grandfather-in-laws United Switch & Signal (USS) marked 1911 in my safe. I've never fired it.
You are a lucky man to have a Union Switch and Signal 1911. And many would never shoot it as well. I would love to own one!
@@theBucketshallnotbeinfringed I used to live the blocks from the US&S Swissvale, PA plant where they made the 1911s. The plant was replaced by a shopping center in the 1990s.
I used to live near the US&S Plant in Swissvale, PA (suburb of Pittsburgh).
Whats up with all this bubix style pistols coming to the US market lately?
I think they are just a good design. And inexpensive.
They're just beautiful Guns the one I have here at home it's 114 years old. I carry it every day.
They are very beautiful guns. And the history makes them that much cooler!
yours was actually made in 1911? that's awesome!
I bought a P9S through a Shot Gun News ad in the mid ‘80’s and it was imported as a used German Police side arm for $250 with the holster. It was my favorite pistol to shoot until I bought a brand new P7M13 for $499 a few years later. I also bought the HK VP70Z that looks like a futuristic ray gun and still have it, too! HK pistols are my favorite by far because they are so unusual and very accurate!!
I have a p7 that is one of my favorites! Thanks for supporting the channel!
Dope.
It was a fun video to make. Thanks for supporting the channel!
hablanos de la erma werke 68 cal. 9mm kurtz
I own this and the p07. And I’m a fan boy of cz so it kinda pains me to say this but the sp2022 is definitely the winner of the two. Mostly well maybe Solely due to the trigger in my book and the controls are better on the sig also but the trigger is really what stands out. Sig mags are harder to find and more expensive then the cz cause you can run the p10 or the p07/09 marked ones almost no difference. So I’d give that a plus on the cz cheaper easier to find mags. This sig is a gem though I didn’t even know about it till a couple years ago and it was on clearance at a local sporting good store I couldn’t pass it. Very well made great trigger I wonder why it wasn’t more popular? I get striker fired is what everyone wants. Shame though cause it’s a solid all around pistol.
I agree with everything you said. And I am with you when it comes to my love of CZ's
That guns Dad is the Raven. Best gun i ever owned!
The Raven is a good gun. I have done a review on the Raven as well. Thanks for supporting the channel!
lovely condition...
I was so surprised when I got it in my hand and it was so nice! Very happy with it. Thanks for supporting the channel!
The trigger in my officer example was horrible. Much better now after changing out the main housing spring from Midway.
Glad you got it up to where you wanted it to be.
I love both my PT-22 and my HP22a as they have both been accurate and reliable. I will be going for a verses range trip this week pitting my PT-22, PT738 TCP and GX4 against my HP22a, M&P Bodyguard and Max-9. I have found that Aguila works flawlessly with almost 0 failures in over a thousand rounds. Thanks for the video and keep shooting 👍.
Thanks for supporting the channel. Sounds like you have a good range day planned.
Triple K absolutely makes new mags for the Walther Model 7. Enjoy waiting 2 years though
I have had very poor luck with triple K
I have an older Charter Arms Undercover 38spl with a 1 7/8'' barrel, built in Stratford and a Bulldog 44spl 3'' Classic made in 2020. I have to say they are really fine revolvers. Charter arms make some really cool revolvers currently my only issue with some of the new stuff is they are putting big billboard sized lettering on some of their newer firearms, and I don't care for that look. They do however make the only left-handed revolver they call it the Southpaw. and they make revolvers without having to use moon clips. for 9mm, .40, and 45acp. called the Pitbull. and that's pretty cool.
Agree with what you say. I like the Charter Arms. I want to try one of the pitbulls.
Have a couple of old handed down pistols so I appreciate what it means to shoot it. thanks
Thanks for supporting the channel. I love when I get to interact with history!
most of the Saturday night specials firearms have gone out of production due to left wing and government efforts to bankrupt them. This breaks my heart right the F in half. Back in the early 2000's when i was dirt broke this was one of the only options for the poor man to have some protection from the democrats "future doctors and scholars" in the poor side of town. I pray someone brings these back into production so that the less fortunate can have something more than a rock and sharp stick to defend them selfs with. USA.
I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. It is so sad that these companies were run out of business. Thanks for supporting the channel!
A representative from Grendel marketed these to members of my department in 1988 as potential backup/off-duty guns. About a dozen of us bought them through an agency purchase order. I still have mine. If kept clean and lubricated, it would run fine through at least one magazine and generally a second, though the lack of a removable magazine made expecting to reload it during a fight unrealistic. I never knew that its recoil was that bad until decades later when the internet arrived to let me know. It certainly wasn't worse than that of the PPK/S I acquired later. I carried mine sometimes back then in a pocket, but never found a holster that fit. Many misunderstood the "logic" behind this gun. It was introduced as a potential alternative for those who would otherwise be carrying a five-shot .38 snub revolver. Kelgren wanted to offer a gun that was as simple to fire as a 5-38S (hence, the DAO trigger), was lighter and flatter, and doubled the round capacity. Most people carrying a 5-38S weren't carrying more than one reload (if they were even carrying that), including cops carrying it as an OD/BU gun. Also, cops and others who carried in ankle holsters had concerns about autoloaders having magazine releases or safety levers inadvertently actuated. The P10 lacked either. Overall, the idea was valid. However, the company's small size and lack of marketing ability, coupled with the less-than-stellar reputation the odd little pistol gained, prevented it from being successful. A version with a removable magazine being released a short time thereafter also failed to shore up the product line and Grendel eventually closed its doors. Some residual DNA from the P10/P12 carried on in Kelgren's later Kel-Tec P11 pistol.
Tons of great points. Having people that can tell us 1st hamd accounts of how the guns were marketed and used when they 1st come out really help us to understand why they were so important when they 1st came out.
I have one exactly like that. Serial number starts with a J indicating 1949 best I can tell. That would mean my Grandpa bought it in 1949 from the York and Wadsworth hardware store in downtown Concord NC. At least according to my dad that's where it came from. It still shoots just fine.
Such cool history. And it is cool to know where it was bought from. Thanks for supporting the channel!
I have cheap pinty red dots on both my 12 gauge bullpups and my JTS ak 12 gauge guns. They work great and hold up to the recoil.
Neat little gun but the strangest disassemble and assembly I've seen.
There is definitely a reason this method did not catch on!
how ironic. i was just reading about the model 8 in guns and ammo surplus firearms volume 6 this morning.
Stay tuned. Next week I have a video on the Walther Model 8! Thanks for supporting the channel!
Always liked the Beretta 92 series, lethal weapon and die hard were the main movies that I saw it in . They shoot good , I've shot a couple different ones, and still enjoy them .
Agree with 100% of what you said. Such a cool gun
Very cool piece, good luck on the magazine hunt to keep that history running
Thank you. It is so cool bringing different guns to the channel
What a color!! Love the review
