The long and twisted path to get to this video started with searching real estate in Colorado, where I live, on Zillow! I’m now thinking I want to retire on Bell Island in 20 years.

I'm thinking of moving there from Ottawa . Can u tell me if the traveling back and forth from bell island to st John's is a hassle or costly . Let me know what u think . I'd plan on working in st John's and residing in bell island? Pros and cons compared to mainland?

From Russia with great respect! I was there in 1992. But I dont remember where old coal mine was. There was also cementri where miners were baried. Sorry for my pure language, I have not spouken fore long time.

I like that, "Took me home without the airfare." The wind was starting to blow at the entrance of the tunnel. Have you ever walked through there?? I don't think I'd be brave enough :)
I have many times. Was always forbidden when I was young, but I make up for it now. Sure it a different perspective with a drone, loved it!

Interesting that there is another island called Belle Island north of this one. I was searching for that one when I found this video.

Loved this video... and I'm sure it's been mentioned but why don't they. meaning the government, build a bridge like NB has going to PEI? From Bell island to Portugal cove is 5 kms... but from the main land to PEI is over 12kms... and with all the issues the Bell Island ferry has had this is a no brainer!!
Love the perspective of a place that I have been to, a couple of friends were born there.

What editing software do you use
@@delliottphotography I switched to Davinci Resolve 16. I love the software (haven't scratched the surface on what it can do yet). It took a little getting used to, but there are so many great youtubers who are creating content to help walk you through the software. If you want to try it out, I can point you to some of the youtubers that I follow.
