Hey budd I was the fuglor fighter nice fight, it was a shame but i got third partied by both barbs and they just hunted me down so bad... first time running fuglor with my 200hr in game and that happens, when i was fighting you I didnt know it was u till I died ggs!

Why don't you keep your potions/bandages in your first consumable slot? I find it easier to swap by just being able to right click the item to swap it into the first slot, same with crossbow/bow in main weapon slot

Nah. He just needs to grow up and realize how to counter range. Magic spam is arguably worse. Range was no different in the past. The only change is that people have gotten better and non ranged players think that its not their fault for losing fights.
First of all I'm not a ranger but having to take up all your inventory just to hold arrows and meds is ludicrous actually but now you want to add weight no bro obviously do not play the game other then a casual

My advice would be balancing ranged slightly better. Not this, but instead just like they're doing with magic spam reduce the amount that phys power affects ranged items along with additional. This would make high end Rangers more balanced and shift the focus to doing some ranged damage before closing in with melee, instead of all ranged. Currently high end Rangers rule the roost and this would fix that but they would also need to balance barbarians a little bit as well. Remove Savage roar from them and I think that would be enough. Would be interesting to see how it pans out.

I dont know about nerfing rangers because everyone always wants the meta nerfed when it changes but when soloing a ranger you just gotta play the long game and wait for a mistake then they die fast :)

The problem with this is that the “long game” can be easily decimated by a third party or by a good ranger that knows you’re playing safe and just leaves

@@botuptop9345 You didn't say the same thing, you basically said Rangers are bad and it's a skill issue that others can't kill them. Rangers are the strongest solo class in the game currently at high end, if you had ever reached that level then you'd know that. Three shots from my usual kits to the chest is about 165 damage with a survival bow. Kills most players, sometimes need a fourth or fifth if I miss. You have PDR? I have up to 55% armor penetration for 8 seconds. You have move speed? I'm above cap so I can move and shoot at near max speed. You have a crossbow? I have a good amount of HP. You push after hitting me once? You'll probably step in a trap where I either kill you or take the time to reset and will almost certainly kill you now that you're in a trapped zone. You try to use a pillar and shoot out with a crossbow? I'll leave you alone and just wait for you to make a mistake or the previous step.
Your choices are to avoid, push and probably die or try to play with a pillar and crossbow to which I could just out wait you until someone else comes and third parties. Time is always on the Rangers side. You don't have many options and have to play to the Rangers game which is what annoys others. Cwiss, point isn't bad but it ignores the points that I typed above and generally is part of the issue, you either have to wait and hope they are idiots who make mistakes or avoid altogether or play to the Rangers advantage. People just want the ranged meta to shift. Personally I don't want them changing it until they up dealing with cheaters. If they remove ranged meta but cheaters are still common, then I'm out.

As a Ranger I think they need removing and ranged damage nerfed. That being said, only if they deal with cheaters because I would not be able to play the game otherwise. The amount of cheaters I run into on Asia and OCE is ridiculous, there is no way I'd leave with a kit when some people can only hit head shots when attacking and have ESP.

In what way is ranger op? Yeah maybe against slow slayers or something but every class except like cleric probably surpasses ranger in solos
Infinite kiting plus easy area denial with traps means that fighters need to use a bow to fight them which means you have to basically be a weaker ranger to compete

The boring ass ranged meta is a big part of why I stopped playing this game. I realized every fight just comes down to who is faster then the other person, gear discrepancy and class matchups. The game is simply not built for solo, and quite frankly I don't think the game was ever actually objectively good. I had a ton of fun in the playtests when there was no solo/duo/trio or concrete metas. I think the game is just fundamentally flawed and I don't hold much hope that these devs are experienced enough to fix the major issues. Every fight comes down to "how patient am I willing to be to catch this player in a position where I have the advantage". It's incredibly rare to actually outplay someone because there's such little skill expression asides from just bumping your sensitivity all the way up swinging your head around and crouch spamming. I netted around 1.2k hours and haven't played this wipe since the start. Next wipe is probably the last hope for DaD.

range needs to be nerfed interms of damage. i think a 50% damage nerf to all projectile based damage would do a lot of good and then just buff the melee capabilities of some of the weaker classes. the issue is currently that the game is flow charty af. if you get in melee you against a ranger you win 99% of the time. if you don't you lose 99% of the time. bringing these ratios down to like 60% should be the ideal.
