Thank you all for watching and I hope this video helps you on your guitar learning journey! TIMESTAMPS: Intro // 0:00 Acoustic Books // 0:26 Electric Books // 3:24 Conclusion // 5:16
Thanks for the video. I teach piano and guitar and while I have found really solid method books balancing fun and learning for the student i have found it tricky to find the same level of books for guitar.
I’m a complete noob, just ordered a Yamaha Pac112V guitar in sonic blue, the best color :) and I was wondering if the electric guitar books can completely self teach yourself without any prior knowledge? They guide you step by step through every note. The books my school had when I played the flute was cool, they taught u every note one by one and there were songs specifically made for the note that you’re learning.
@@Justin-dp6yi The Tab method teaches songs and the names of some of the notes. The one I mention about sheet music focuses more specifically on notes.
Thx for this vid I had music lessons but we had to stop because of this COVID and I got an electric guitar so I needed to see some reviews if the books were worth the price😂
Here’s a similar book that focuses on fingerpicking. www.amazon.com/dp/0634099957/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_0W7TB97X92605C0THT52?linkCode=ml2&tag=mrz01-20
By the way can you make video on how to control your hands for beginners like it's really tough for me to shift cords😭 and I have to prepare for a competition in 1 month and it's 4th of my new guitar
For the majority of people the tab method is probably the best way to go. If you’re interested in learning to read sheet music then you might check out the other one!

I think with the play along tracks you can definitely use these to self teach!
@@mrzsmusiclessons does the book teach you every note? Or is it just songs inside you try to figure out how to play yourself?

Do you prefer the acoustic version or the electric?
They are both good. So I would just choose whichever instrument you like better.
I picked up Mel Bay and Hal Leonard books for reading music --I've liked learning to read the notes. Having a hard time w/ ledger lines notes though.
I like your advice w/ "take action"...baby steps.
Rick Martin Awesome! Hope you enjoy them!
Write that book man!!!
I hopefully will!
Yes please 🔥
Didnt knew Mark Zuckerburg could play guitar
Anything is possible in the Metaverse.
Hi, Mr. Z! Thank you for this helpful video. Im confused on what should I buy, the hal leonard tab method or guitar method? which one is better?

Either making a book or building an online course is on my list of goals for this year, so I’m going to try and make one of those happen.
These books are not available in India..😢
I’m sorry to hear that!
