No. There are no "defining" games unless you're talking about THE Superbowl. Every single week we hear about how this will be the "biggest test yet" for Washington. This game, against an AFC opponent, is one of the least of our concerns. If we lose this game but beat the Eagles no one will care to remember what happened vs the Steelers. And if we beat the Steelers and lose to the Eagles no one will care to remember what happened vs the Steelers.
I don't think it matters as much about the conference each is in, as it does about each team facing their strongest opponent, to date. In order to get an indication of just how good each team is. You're exactly right, though, obviously the division games matter, arguably more, but after all, overall record is the final determining factor, when it comes to playoff seeding. So every game gets more important, as the season goes, right??
I agree with u.....I'm a Steelers fan and people are never content.....if u win. "Oh well this and that." If u lose "oh well this and that." It's like jst shut up and take it game by game.
@@SteveWoody-vw7oq defining and important are not the same thing. Weeks ago everyone wanted to make the Ravens game the defining game. What, exactly, did it define? Nothing. For as AMAZING as the Bears finish was, it had absolutely no bearing on the Giants game, the following week. This is a week to week league and each week present a different set of matchups. What fans and media types like to do is forecast the results based on a single outcome but it just doesn’t work like that. This is just another test in a series of tests and the more you pass the better your chances are of getting into playoff college where ANYTHING can happen!!
I agree. I'm a Skins fan I do think this will be a test to confirm what I already know. Considering my expectations coming into this season, we're playing with house money and even if we lose like we did to the Ravens, if it's close like that game I can definitely live with it.
I'm a Washington fan and I'll be the first to admit we haven't really beaten a good team. This is definitely a prove it game for the commanders. If I was betting on the game I would take Pit -3.
@@lamarjackson8917 I’m a fan, I just don’t think Washington has played anyone yet. I hope they beat Pitt. I’ll be at the Titans game, section 114 seat 5. Come on bye since you are obviously “a fan.”
I would consider cardinals bengals and bears pretty good wins. And then sweeping division rival-mot easy to do. Steelers are a test though for sure. Lets see if we can shut down there d-line like we did the giants.
Thank you, the OT rules need to be refined. The most obvious thing is just adding time to the clock and playing on. Bucs held the Chiefs out of FG range, and forced a punt… why the coin flip and the goofy TD rules?
This will be the best defense yall have played all year and most likely the rest of the year, for us Steelers this will be one of the best offenses we have played this year.
@@amsey3700I get that but it's important that the steelers get off to a good start to the 2nd half because of how hard the remaining schedule is for the steelers and this is their biggest test to date.
In the nexts 3 games they will be saying Washington Commander. Because we haven’t played the Eagles and Dallas yet they still don’t believe we will get more respect after we Pittsburgh game.
Even though I didn't see Joe Greene, I am sure that he is the best defensive player to ever play football. I don't agree with Bill Cower because everything he mentioned about Reggie is exactly what Joe Greene could do.
Hard to compare. They had different positions and different responsibilities. White was arguably the best pass rusher ever. He reached a 100 sacks in less than a 100 games. That's insane. Hr hump move is tbe stuff of legend. In his prime he was a beast. It's hard to compare. Joe green being an interior linemen and white being a end and Taylor being an outside linebacker. They were all great.
Its the opposite of college. College teams play puff teams first 2-3 games, get high ranking, and never drop out of rankings; if they lose, they drop a few spots. Teams that play tough teams early and lose, never see rankings again, no matter what they do. In NFL, every week is, "yeah but who did they play", when they were underdogs and won, week after week. Week 9, Commanders finally cracked top 10, some top 5, but its still we have to beat others coming up. 49ers? Really?
Maholmo is just the luckiest SOB ever! He was a nobody in college,it's Reed scheme that does it and pieces around him.. he's thrown as many ints as TDS
The Steelers only have Pickens and we can easily shut him down… we can definitely pressure Russell Wilson… and the Steelers defense can’t stop our offense… our offense is a powerhouse!!!

@PixxelBros the only over inflated comment is the one you just sent me lmao, If you genuinely believe the steelers are a better team than either the ravens or the bucs, you clearly don't understand the sport of football. I also don't see anywhere, that I liked my own comment. As for you it's easier to just accept the fact, the steelers are a good team but no playoff caliber one.
Steelers did their job Yessah. 🖤💛🖤💛
Great interview, Dan. Getting Coach Cowher to reminisce about the LB great ones - LT and Derrick Thomas - in comparison to TJ Watts is priceless!

18 min segment and 47 seconds of it in Steelers commanders. Thanks for the click bait. 🙄
As a commanders fan, the last 9 weeks are supposedly “games that will define us” lol the media just can’t bring themselves to call us top tier
You guys are a top 2-3 NFC team without question, regardless of what happens in this game
