Impressive! Do you notice the planetary gearbox of the winch gets hot after prolonged pulling? I'd like to know, because most of the commercial chainsaw winches and independently powered portable capstan winches have a large oil filled transmission case.

Great video on the 5hp motor winch do you just engage lever on the winch to start puling and is that the same shaft as the electric motor or a different shaft thanks

With the clutch you can engage lever before pulling.Shaft has to be from electric motor.
