You guys are awesome, thank you for taking the time to share all of this! I have watched your entire previous Japan trip twice and was so excited when I saw that first new video pop up! Have a great time and thanks again!
Looks like a beautiful area of Japan. Just be careful of the splashing miso at 16:22 in German Sam is the new 'kleckerkoenig'. We love watching your videos always so fun and well done!
Noboribetsu Onsen was a pleasant surprise for us. And you know Sam, I could have stayed all day soaking my tired feet in the springs. It doesn't get better. As always guys, super video 👍👍 Love you dearly❤ from Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.
thank you very much audrey and sam,it's very interesting.next march,i am going to stay two months all over japan.it will be soon then my third trip to japan from france.i will not miss the beautiful japanese temples, the ramen, the sushis, the best onsens and statues of all types among others.for the sea,i plan to swim at the fabulous yonaha maheama beach in okinawa prefecture.the land of the rising sun has so much to offer of its kind
Samuel, I got a haircut today and I feel marvelous. Would you like to feel marvelous also? I went to Super Cuts this evening and I feel very refreshed. Are you growing your hair out for the winter? Just curious. Love your videos. Saludos a Daniel y Pilar. ❤ *And of course saludos a Audrey 🙂❤
Your ruokan reminds me a lot of the hotel I stayed in last year at Hakone where it was a huge property quite different from the smaller places I tend to stay.
Guys. I am loving your new styles....This film was amazing...I want to dip my feet inthose pools...But can I also say, I have followed you both for years...Samuel should be the New Connor MaCloed in Highlander...There can be Only One..Keep finding your way guys...I visited Matera because of you in October xxxxxx
We're going to ship Samuel off to Scotland to star in his new leading role. He's agreed to be paid in haggis and whisky! 😂 Also, we're so glad you made it to Matera - we hope you enjoyed your time there. Wasn't it like stepping back in time?!
Throught your very very very nice trip to Noboribetu hot spring area, for me, in fact , I first time could understand how much there is very nice and relaxing area, I may be getting to be wanting to go to there. only I say you thank you for good information.
Thank you for watching the video! We really enjoyed our visit to Noboribetsu Onsen and would highly recommend it if you get the chance to visit. The landscapes are out of this world! 😊
Was that out of the world? so, it means that that landscapes was like a another planet? or it was being in the imagination world that we can not imagine? it was like a unknown world? anyway, I may was able to decide to go to Noboribetu thank you.
Great video, as always! We have wanted to visit Hokkaido for a long time, but were a bit concenred that one needs a car to see it properly. But you seem to be getting around it on public transportation just fine!
No, the temperatures are way too hot! You can see the water boiling in some of these places. That being said, there are loads of ryokan in this town, so that means plenty of opportunities to enjoy an onsen.
Yes! We got to enjoy another outdoor onsen a bit later once it was starting to cool down and the contrast between the piping hot waters and the cold air was so nice! The only thing missing was the sake! 😅🍶♨️
Noboribetsu Onsen is one of the five major Japanese hot springs. (There are many theories.)🧐 I'm glad you were able to relax. 😚 Also, I'm glad you didn't meet a bear🐻 while hiking in the woods. 😂💦
Thankfully, there were no bear encounters in Japan. We get enough of those in Canada! 🐻 We loved visiting this onsen town and we hit up a few more during our travels in Japan. 😊
I'm enjoying your series of videos in Hokkaido. You seem to have more knowledge and appreciation of things Japanese than most North American visitors to Japan that I've seen on TH-cam. Even better Japanese pronunciation than most (except for the difficult "ryo" in "ryokan.). I can tell you've done your research and chosen the places you visit and things you try with some insight and preparation, and you've been smart and lucky not to be caught up in the huge crowds of the very famous and popular places. One small note: Audrey's yukata was way too short (it should at least reach your ankles), so you should have chosen a bigger size, and when you put on the yukata (or kimono), always wrap the left side over the right side, so you can insert your right hand into the opening. Both of you do a great job trying different things and commenting on your experiences!
Skye Budnick, a 21 year old girl from Conneticut, USA was last seen at a Inn in Noboribetsu in April 2008, She dissapeared and havent been seen since then, her family has no idea what happend to her.
My girlfriend and I arrived at the nobiribetsu station last night past the time that taxis were available and we were all alone in a very quiet and dark street. It was so terrifying. We called our hotel and they didn’t understand that we couldn’t get there. We slowly realize we may need to spend the night there and it was honestly terrifying. Fortunately, one of the hotel managers came and picked us up at no fee. We were eternally grateful!
I don't usually eat ramen noodles, because buckwheat noodles and udon are healthier. ramen is so popular these days, I just bought 5 packs of instant ramen - miso flavor, it's ¥140 ( less $1)…the outside package was little bit torn, "sale": discounted, lucky. This morning I tried to cook ramen. 🍜 steam or boil Chinese cabbage or Hakusai and a small piece of ginger, it's tasty. add the instant ramen for 3 min. (for) boiling, finally plus the miso soup powder. the taste is good, maybe not healthy but not bad, I will try the rest of the 3 packs. plentiful vegetables will help.
Yummm! We had lots of soba and udon during our trip - we'll show that in some of the upcoming videos. As for ramen, my favourite instant pack is the Shin Ramyun - super spicy! I like to add an egg right at the end.
I just watched a video on some etiquettes of ryokan. One is not to step on tatami mats with your bare feet. Either wear the slippers provided or with socks. Not trying be sound offensive. Just thought to share for gd knowledge. Peace...
I deleted my comment. I hope I didn’t offend you guys. I like Sam’s hair, I think its very cool. My comment on Jesus might be taken the wrong way. I am so sorry. I think you are a fun and beautiful couple. Blessings.
I don’t really think it’s any of your business you are rude and need a good look in the mirror! If that’s all you have to say it says more about you than Sam ! You are looking good Sam don’t listen to cretins my husband just said he wants to ask you for a miracle 😊 🙏🏼in your Yucata sitting at the table this you look like a modern Jesus 😂 I’m loving this Hokkaido serie! We just came back from Northern Iceland and experienced very similar things in the region of Mývatn in a place Hverir! I was thinking I don’t remember seeing you going to Iceland 🇮🇸 ? You’d love I think it’s such an amazing country with incredibly unusual wild landscape and the people are amazing! Anyway thank you for your great work it’s much appreciated Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
Always love hearing your travel stories.
My wife and I will visit Noboribetsu for the first time late December. It looks awesome.
Awesome, wishing you two a wonderful trip! We had a great time there.
This episode was filled with light-hearted humor . Sam - what an endorsement of that ramen shop !
If we had discovered that ramen shop a day earlier, we would have eaten there 3 times! One of the BEST ramen bowls of the whole trip! 🤤🍜
very nice video, i love japan and this town seems to be my kind of town. waiting for the next video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Next up is Sapporo. 😊

That steamy area around the 9:00 mark reminds me of Owakudani in Hakone.

I remember a lot of people getting off the train here but had no idea it was an onsen town. Gotta visit here next time I go to Hokkaido.
Bendiciones desde Argentina 👋💥

Welcome back to Japan.
Excellent finds, as always! May we get the name of that spicy ramen place?!
It doesn't have an English name, but if you type 閻魔軒 into GoogleMaps it'll give you the right place. It's one block south of Enmado Temple.
@@samuelandaudrey Aw thanks so much! ❣We're learning some Japanese in preparation for our upcoming trip! :D
7:01 Are you allowed to swim/soak in the wild onsen?
No, the temperatures are way too hot! You can see the water boiling in some of these places. That being said, there are loads of ryokan in this town, so that means plenty of opportunities to enjoy an onsen.
Soaking aching body in Outdoor onsen during winter and having cold sake after that one of the best feelings
Yes! We got to enjoy another outdoor onsen a bit later once it was starting to cool down and the contrast between the piping hot waters and the cold air was so nice! The only thing missing was the sake! 😅🍶♨️
It's always fun to wear the casual yukata in the hotel and feel weird until you see almost everyone else wearing it too.
se miran muy bien con los kimonos
Gracias!
I NEED to go there! Which season/month would you recommend?
I think autumn would be a great time to be there. We visited in mid-September and it still felt summery.

Thank you for reply.
I'm looking forward to seeing another hot spring video. 💓
Which time of the year was the trip?
We visited in September.
So this is Twinleaf Town!
What season did you visit during?
We visited in mid-September so it was the very end of summer.
@@samuelandaudrey Thank you! Looks like you had a lovely time. We're visiting mid-October. Hopefully the weather is almost as pleasant :)
I have a question about the Onsen it's tattoo friendly?
Not really, yakuza connotations
One day we have to go to northern Japan. A great adventure in this wonderful little town. Thank you for this amazing episode.
Hola Audrey y Samuel.

Hey I think Sam’s hair looks great. You can only wear it that way when you’re young.
