fell in love with the thunder cage when i started playing a week ago. farmed it to max the unique ability and im playing as gley but i just cant get the stuff to make her and it do that kinda damage. i get royally gimped from amorphous drops so i havent gotten a single catalyst bp.
I feel like with the map sizes they need to up the base fall off range of every gun to 35 Metres at the minimum. Cause the average range enemies are away from you is huge and yet only really LMGs, Scout Rifles and Snipers have the range to deal with your average open area encounters.
thundercage isnt that great with enzo since you lose the buff when you reload, you can recast it, but feels better paired with a high magazine gun like enduring legacy or something that fires slow and hits hard like afterglow sword

Nope. You can choose what and where you put them when you use a catalyst. Choose carefully tho and know what to assign beforehand and it maybe wise to leave 1 slot uncatalized to allow freedom of builds/mod switching. Tbh build the Thundercage as a crit weapon bc it has natural high crit baseline. Also the fact that the electrical explosion scales off of the firearm atk % so stack that as high as you can and never sacrifice firearm atk if you can.
I'm not sure how much DPS I might be losing, but I like having the max general rounds. Not even fully max I'm running around with 500+ rounds most of the time and only risk running out when I first start as you loose rounds over 300 when leaving/entering area.
Hey, don’t put max general rounds on your main weapon. Put it on a spare general rounds weapon in slot 2 and just quickly switch to pick up ammo. Add mod to pick up special or impact rounds and you can easily run about with 800+ ammo with no need to impact your main dps.
I just started playing this game about a week or so ago and just finished the campaign last night so I'm still very much a noob my buddy is very much into this game and has been helping me a lot on it and he actually just sent me one of his builds on the Thundercage last night. This came up in my TH-cam feed today so I watched it and sent him this to try and watch the video as well. Overall I'm really liking this game a lot. It kinda reminds me of Destiny 2 a little but without all the paywalls I'm sorry but there's no way I'm paying $100 for the new crap on Destiny when this game is just as good and I've liked it enough to buy the Battle Pass. I've noticed a lot of my PUBG buddies are starting to get into this game as well. Personally I love PUBG but the cheating on consoles with the XIM to use mouse and keyboard and the Strikepacks and Cronus Zens are completely out of control! I know so many people cheating on there it isn't funny and until they finally actually do something about it all I'm playing is my Casual matches just to get my dailies done and I'm done and moving on to playing this game from now on. There's only so many times you can report the same people over and over again with nothing happening to them or their accounts before you just give up on PUBG. Let the cheaters take over PUBG I guess since PUBG obviously doesn't really care about cheating on consoles. If they did they would be banning all these cheaters already! Then there's the ones who send their accounts overseas to have people from other countries buy G-Coins for super cheap so they can get all the new progressive skins and all the good stuff sorry but PUBG is definitely broken and needs a complete overhaul. So I would rather spend my time on this game now.
Weak point sight can be replaced with weak por insight? I saw that it gives weak point damage too but increases Crit too. It is also an M module so I don't know why in the guides I saw it is always the blue weak point sight module and never de purple weak point insight... Just wondering.
Build another thundercage then go to workbench and select enchance unique ability. Make sure to infuse your level 1 thundercage into your already leveled up current thundercage. And that's it. Try to reroll better stats for ur weapon under 'weapon readjustment' or something like that. Btw, Fallen Hope is another weapon u can get quite easily from just doing missions. You can also level that weapon up too the same way.
Why wouldn’t you trade the fire rate up module that only gives you one buff when you could have a different module that gives you the same buff at the same percentage but also gives you another buff on top of that?
Dont use Action and Reaction on the Thunder Cage, Use Slow Art instead. Also instead of Fire Rate Up use Bullet Rain. And above everything else NEVER use Edging Shot on the Thunder cage. Reason why is because its Unique's Ability Electric Shockwave Scales of its Firearm Damage X200%.

The high Fire Arm Attack and Slower Fire Rate makes Sharp precision Shot proc better and lets you output way stronger explosions when dealing with huge mobs of enemies. yeah the dps might look lower but if you are 1-2 tappin them you dont need to be able to shoot a full mag to kill something and if you do need more bullets the sharp precision shot will cover for the fire rate lost which is not sheeted because it is a bonus on activate.
It should at least be “If the mod is in the same category, it’s the same slot type.” so elemental mods are interchangeable But nope all the elemental mods are a different slot type.
yes you are right its hard to hit weak spot on fast moving collosi, still body shot is much lower without weak spot mods and also affects crit damage, and trigger 6x crit damage on body shot at 35 or 39% rate of shots makes no difference, only 4% more shots will have crit damage. also about mental focus do you see its 150 stacks, this mod will not work with 26 or even 30 shots. cos you will gain only 30% more damage. this mod is for tamer or other 100 ammo machine guns, where real life fighter gets 100% after 10 shots, but every missed weak spot shot you lose 2 of 10 stacks
@@iamzer0938 well not everybody use gley or even have it, next video is for people who fail and have thunder cage, not people who maxed every slot and can put any mod. and even mental focus at start is failure for 6 energy mod you get 0.32%, where 13 energy that i have now on tamer its 0.66%, same is sharp shooter 13 energy. 0.8s for stack, that is 8s on tamer to reach 10 stacks and have 60% more atk. idea is how to use 48 energy for mods for best dps. for that i recommend DrybearGamers channel
This build is old but edging shot is questionable. Replace it with real life fighter and ur set or other crit mods if u like crit that much sacrificing firearm atk for crit when there's plenty of other crit and crit damage mods is kinda silly

You farm for crystal catalysts and use them on fully leveled up lvl 40 weapons. This will allow you to assign a slot to a particular type and this halfs the cost of the correlating mod to 50% cost but will reduce your lvl from 40 back to lvl 1. For example a fully leveled up 16 cost mod would cost only 8 in its own slot that has been catalized. Yep.....farm crystal catalysts and relevel your weapon from lvl 1 to lvl 40 the grind goes on and on 😂😂😂
Unless you want to build multiple or have 1 weapon per type its generally better for the weapon to be typeless and then use mods to give elemental given the resistances some mobs have.
For Enzo red mod, while using thunder cage once you reload the buff from Enzo red mod stops,you can’t grab the buff anymore until you recast the skil again
Does the thunder cage have a stat that increases damage against order of truth? I checked all my external components and reactor and i dont have anything applied that does extra damage to order of truth so i dont get it
I have noted with a lot of these module builds that the capacity cost shown is different from my ones. For example, Better Concentration (fully max) in your build has a capacity cost of 8, but in my build it is 16. Why the difference? I have tried to copy your build but I cannot because my mods exceed the 80 capacity limited. What. Am I doing wrong?
right hand side on the module screen, Module additional settings, assign Module socket type, then assign a socket the matching type to the module you want in that slot. It halves the cost of the module. It cost 1 crystallization catalyst and resets the weapons proficiency. you have to do this with each slot.
You can't, the devs have to fix how it works. the only way is to apply a mod, save, then go view the stats to see how it impacted it. you can also shoot in the laboratory for testing.
Going to have to Chase that build when I unlock Hard mode... Wonder how it would work with Blair with a "Weapons Platform Build" (Using his Back Draft Skill Module)
My build is pretty much the same except instead of using edging shot, im using sweeper squad since my thundercage is more of a mob clearing weapon than a bossing weapon. I was iffy on the penalty of edging.
It's not that big. There are dozens of ways to compensate that loss. In fact, people exaggerate on the amount of Firearm atk on their guns, they can easily stick Edging Shot and maintain their DPS with he huge amount of Atk they shove on their weapons

The 'hard to get' Descendant mod, Shot Focus, can recover that base 15% Firearm ATK without taking up a weapon mod slot. Save all your purple Cerulean mods and combine them for your best chance to acquire one.
when you start gun, 50 energy limit best mods with 6 energy are weak spot sight, have aiming, concentration priority and insight focus, you must look at title at bottom of mod, you cant use 2 mods that main focus is for example critical hit damage, but like insight focus its critial hit rate mod +8% that also adds critical hit damage +6.5%. btw i recommend before you remove duplicates, to push every mod you might use in future by 1 point. cos grind for some mods in nightmare, like mental focus or concentration priority or action and reaction
I only use thundercage for farming. There are way better guns for bossing and dungeons. Enduring legacy, Python, Greg's Reversed Fate, etc. Thundercage is good, but its honestly not best.
I'm just wondering if anyone simply plays the game because it's fun and experimenting with their own builds still happens. I understand asking for help.... But someone else's build might not work for me
Kinda an gley build, but WhatsApp is with Otter chars using Gold Modulen like sweeping squad for Mobbing and fireing Fiesta for Boss einher of both destroys Ur reloading shit mod for Otter Charts the gley
take out the reload and edging shot and put on a elemant type damge for 30% boost there that isnt calculated in DPS and then add the corresponding when mob is affected by that same type of element add x% firearm ATK
just fyi theres way better builds then this one out there when it comes to modding a gun or frame builds are universal unless your this guy who thinks putting random mods in his build to make them look unique but hes only sacrificing DPS when he does that in the end go for damage fire rate mag size and crit chance and damage and your build will shred through whatever is infront of you its really so basic modding in this game but somany let it overwhelm them and run to vids like this that wont help you in the long run figuring out the mods is all you need to do :)
All these videos the youtubers make have spend 7-9 catalysts wich is a hell of alot, so these builds are only availible for folks who live in the game,the try hard kids with no life and sometimes sponsors out the wazoo.
Honestly you swapped so many mods I’m more confused than ever! I like an easy mod build video where you just showcase the build and I can screen shot it and duplicate it. You got too in depth for no real reason and swapped around too many mods to follow!
I don't know why I look at these build guides. they are all for end game stuff and to be honest I am not sinking 9 Crystallization cats into a gun. or into my toon either. the endless re grind to 40 is probably the stupidest mechanic in the game. This game develops zero desire in me to level to 40 - 10 times. Ten times !! For me this game is on borrowed time I will play it until it's not fun at the level I am willing to play it.

I don't care about the skimpy outfits, and the grind is fun if the gameplay is great. I would much rather play a game with something to chase than something like Helldivers that gets boring fast. Keep in mind I don't care about cosmetics or looks in these games.
collosi are always about weak points that goes blue to yellow, still thunder cage is also about critical hit damage and critical hit rate, critical hit rate is very small on that 35% to 37%, better focus on weak spot damage, that always works for blue with every shot, and crit damage. what is better 35% of crit shots doing 6.05x crit damage or 37% of crit shots 4.2x. of course 35% is better. crit shots are affected by your weakpoint damage too. doing blue or headshot damage is best, then 35% of your shots cos you have 35% crit rate will do 6.05x more damage. you also need to understand mods when your starter crit rate is 20% then mod for +50% crit rate will give you 30%, but naziestra is for example is 45% that means 8 in your mag, 45% shots will trigger crit damage, now +50% crit rate mod gives 45%+22.5%=67.5% crit rate. always press F1 on weapon and check crit rate, crit damage and weakpoint damage
bro you wasted edging shot for crit rate, to boost it from 35% to 39%, better put have aiming that will give you +40% weakpoint damage with -20% accurancy, thunder is too low on crit rate, better is to invest into crit damage/weak point damage mods, same mix with battle/attack mods that push it more. weakpoint damage will affect your crit damage as long you do head shots or weak spot shots. you can check in laboratory how every shot to head will push brown crit damage value.
I don't know about testing its damage on lab man it feels weird. I only showcase a clip on labs here to show you guys where are weak points. Damage is different in real mission though compared to enemies in labs.
@@thegrindshack majority of people doesnt know what weak points are, to even press tab to ping for blue spot on collosi, they also shoot from 100m. damage is different for collosi are stronger and also tall, even when you stand next to it, shoulder weak spot is already over 35m
On the 2 alternate weapons you could also add module for increased total ammo and you’ll have a stockpile after picking up ammo

Nah. Its a close range mob weapon. Its not supposed to have the same range and damage output at range, of say, one of the tactical or assault rifles
I mean, just swap over to Greg's for range.

I found out the hard way that Edging Shot reducing Firearm ATK is not worth getting +9% Crit rate you get from it... 💀

Yeah, all weapons are accurate when you put a center dot. The game crosshair is very misleading.

Instead of edging shot try ‘having aim’ 40% more damage on weak points. That’s much better than losing fire arm attack with edging shot
The problem with "have aiming" is its an R slot, so you wont be able to switch it out with any other good mods once you catalyze it

I decided to also add the purple mag module that boosts mag size and crit rate, I have 86.5 crit chance and a 49 magazine size, it feels good
86.5 crit chance with supply moisture, or sfe with enzo? Max crit chance without those two is 40

This is why you use enduring legacy and not thundercage with its small magazine, even with mods, it caps at like 45.

You have to catalyze/polarize your slot to match the mod type

My build is pretty much the same except instead of using edging shot, im using sweeper squad since my thundercage is more of a mob clearing weapon than a bossing weapon. I was iffy on the penalty of edging.
It's not that big. There are dozens of ways to compensate that loss. In fact, people exaggerate on the amount of Firearm atk on their guns, they can easily stick Edging Shot and maintain their DPS with he huge amount of Atk they shove on their weapons

As I have said the 15% firearm debuff only takes away about 1k firearm on the build.
Yeah I heard that part. Im just stating what I did kind of just guessing haha. I'll probably make a setting with current with insight focus and current with edging to see which feels better.
The 'hard to get' Descendant mod, Shot Focus, can recover that base 15% Firearm ATK without taking up a weapon mod slot. Save all your purple Cerulean mods and combine them for your best chance to acquire one.

when you start gun, 50 energy limit best mods with 6 energy are weak spot sight, have aiming, concentration priority and insight focus, you must look at title at bottom of mod, you cant use 2 mods that main focus is for example critical hit damage, but like insight focus its critial hit rate mod +8% that also adds critical hit damage +6.5%. btw i recommend before you remove duplicates, to push every mod you might use in future by 1 point. cos grind for some mods in nightmare, like mental focus or concentration priority or action and reaction

I only use thundercage for farming. There are way better guns for bossing and dungeons. Enduring legacy, Python, Greg's Reversed Fate, etc. Thundercage is good, but its honestly not best.

you can add catalysts that increase the amount you can put into it.
take out the reload and edging shot and put on a elemant type damge for 30% boost there that isnt calculated in DPS and then add the corresponding when mob is affected by that same type of element add x% firearm ATK

better insight and initial focus gives me 53% crit chance and i dont loose dps from edging shot its really a no brainer for me atleast lol
just fyi theres way better builds then this one out there when it comes to modding a gun or frame builds are universal unless your this guy who thinks putting random mods in his build to make them look unique but hes only sacrificing DPS when he does that in the end go for damage fire rate mag size and crit chance and damage and your build will shred through whatever is infront of you its really so basic modding in this game but somany let it overwhelm them and run to vids like this that wont help you in the long run figuring out the mods is all you need to do :)
All these videos the youtubers make have spend 7-9 catalysts wich is a hell of alot, so these builds are only availible for folks who live in the game,the try hard kids with no life and sometimes sponsors out the wazoo.

I don't know why I look at these build guides. they are all for end game stuff and to be honest I am not sinking 9 Crystallization cats into a gun. or into my toon either. the endless re grind to 40 is probably the stupidest mechanic in the game. This game develops zero desire in me to level to 40 - 10 times. Ten times !! For me this game is on borrowed time I will play it until it's not fun at the level I am willing to play it.

15% Atk is not that big of a deal when people put both Action and Reaction, Rifling Reinforcement and even Sharp Precision shot in most builds.
@@bloody4558 you dont even need to ....14.5% crit hit +6.5% crit damage vs 32% crit hit and -15% firearm....just consider the value your getting ...one and only one condition i could think off using edge and thats on a secret garden ...why ? Cuz its 50% CRIT CHANCE AS BASE...

collosi are always about weak points that goes blue to yellow, still thunder cage is also about critical hit damage and critical hit rate, critical hit rate is very small on that 35% to 37%, better focus on weak spot damage, that always works for blue with every shot, and crit damage. what is better 35% of crit shots doing 6.05x crit damage or 37% of crit shots 4.2x. of course 35% is better. crit shots are affected by your weakpoint damage too. doing blue or headshot damage is best, then 35% of your shots cos you have 35% crit rate will do 6.05x more damage. you also need to understand mods when your starter crit rate is 20% then mod for +50% crit rate will give you 30%, but naziestra is for example is 45% that means 8 in your mag, 45% shots will trigger crit damage, now +50% crit rate mod gives 45%+22.5%=67.5% crit rate. always press F1 on weapon and check crit rate, crit damage and weakpoint damage
bro you wasted edging shot for crit rate, to boost it from 35% to 39%, better put have aiming that will give you +40% weakpoint damage with -20% accurancy, thunder is too low on crit rate, better is to invest into crit damage/weak point damage mods, same mix with battle/attack mods that push it more. weakpoint damage will affect your crit damage as long you do head shots or weak spot shots. you can check in laboratory how every shot to head will push brown crit damage value.
I don't know about testing its damage on lab man it feels weird. I only showcase a clip on labs here to show you guys where are weak points. Damage is different in real mission though compared to enemies in labs.
@@thegrindshack majority of people doesnt know what weak points are, to even press tab to ping for blue spot on collosi, they also shoot from 100m. damage is different for collosi are stronger and also tall, even when you stand next to it, shoulder weak spot is already over 35m
