A 4K aerial drone video of the Kumasi International Airport Expansion project in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Work on the Kumasi International Airport phase two project is currently ongoing. The scope of work include the extension of the runway from the current 1,981 meters to 2,300 meters, new road network and external works, security fence and substation.
The Kumasi International Airport also involves airfield works, new Air Traffic Control (ATC) building, new fire station building and construction of a new terminal building with capacity to accommodate one million passengers a year.

This is the advantage Tamale International Airport have over Kumasi Int Airport. They have a vast undeveloped(bush) land around the Airport so it will make it easier for Government to build the airport city project
Yes The Tamale City have advantage when it comes to that bro but remember the air port city is developed by private investors and developers and kumasi have a vast advantage when it comes to investment . If you know kumasi so well most of the land across the airport belongs to the government which some individuals are just staying on it and also for Otomfuo which they are staying on it like that.
@@kwabitheexplorer2468 .. Kumasi will find it develop to have the kind of Airport city they deserve. Note that it won't be easy to get those settlers around the Kumasi Airport to relocate(example is what happened at the Kejetia market, some landlords did not allow Government to demolish their buildings)
Also about Tamale Airport, it will surprise you how fast developers and politicians will build that Airport city. Don't underestimate the potentials of Tamale city
@@kwabitheexplorer2468 bro tamale is one of fastest growing cities in west Africa…the government has already planned on building an MRO there together with it two terminals for international and hajj ..do you know the investor these can bring ..the land around tamale airport is very huge and it runway is the only one that can be compared to Kotoka ..it’s a fact and you can research on that…what will even make tamale a business hub is the inland port connection North straight to Tema Harbor …I leave in Tema and the rail lines are complete the Debre inland port is said to commence this year so you see almost 60% of the project is done..while no single rail line has been constructed at boankra..this should tell you something…I won’t be surprised to see tamale host the national commercial capital in the future..Accra and Kumasi are choked up tamale is more closer to burkina and other landlocked countries and has a vast land for developmental projects

Tamale airport is better than Kumasi airport. It can accommodate all the big planes of the world . They have large areas that they can use to develop the city. So who actually supervised this poor work. Why didn't they build it at the original designated sight that we have had in our books for all these years. Meanwhile the leaders of Kumasi looked on and allowed this poor work to be done. What was Asantehene and the Mp's doing. No wonder people now have resorted to insulting him now. This could not have happened under Otumfour Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh. Just look at the surroundings. How bad it it is. What is an airport if it cannot fly to the Asia's and the Americas. So sad. How can Kumasi develop if this is how we do our things. They should think of building a new airport at the original designated place. If I didn't know any better, I would say it is a well orchestrated plan to rip Kumasi off it's status and also deprive Kumasi of it's well deserved development. Kumasi people shouldn't fuss over this poor work called airport . We deserve better.

Kumasi Airport is surrounded by the most ugly part of Kumasi which are the Zongos, how to develop the area will be difficult.
