- This is a follow up to a video I did two years ago for the Q10 route using Articulated units. Here's a link to it if you want to check it out:
MTA Bus Company: The Invasion of the 1999 New Flyer D60HF Articulated Buses in Queens:
• MTA Bus Company: The I...
This video focuses on the invasion of the 2002-03 New Flyer D60HF Articulated Units in Queens, more accurately on the Q10 route from 2014-2015. These units came into Queens as a swap for the poor performing 1999 New Flyer units as the Q10 converted into a full-time articulated route. The units that came in were 5510-5519, 5536, 5539-5543, 5556-5560, 5568, 5603-5604, 5645, 5647-5649, 5677-5678, 5687 and 5712. Those units were assigned to the JFK Bus Depot from Spring 2014 to Spring 2016.
Ultimately, these units were shipped back to Manhattan and The Bronx at the start of this year thanks to the arrival of the 2015-2016 New Flyer XD60 Xcelsior Articulated units. This video is pretty much a small retrospective on the time these units were the driving force of the Q10 for about 2 years. I hope you enjoyed this video.
MTA Bus Company JFK Buses
Videos taken between April 2nd, 2014 and September 17th, 2015.
It’s still weird knowing that these buses are gone. I remember these being new and it being big news that MTA finally had an articulated fleet.
I like that Whistle when the DD50 accelerates
Sounds like the Orion V's. The AMA San Juan 2004 Orion V's have the same pitch but in high note
AH MAN I MISS THOSE 1999-2001
3:49 I also miss the D60s with the orange LED board so electrifying😄😄
Man, if the 1999-2000 D60s were still around
12:48 Love the airport scene
1st time ever in the 5568, in both sides at the front sporting a McDonald's ad. Never ocurred in the NYCTA.
2:12 Some D60s have the old engine and some D60s have the new engine that sets off the whistle
Love those buses, sad that they are gone
10:46 This one is gold
Nobody is talking about the q1010 glitch?
I'm just speechless about it
And confused
13:20 This one had the bus with the orange LED board
The one #5677
4:52 Q1010 d60hf
9:58 I like this part
11:08 Fall on the spot
How strong are the connectors on slinky buses?
SilverPwns oak
They are very strong
This is a Orion VII V
Omar Sanchez Its not.
D60HF
@@Kingsbridgeviewer382 how many D60hf remain with the black scheme
Omar Sanchez are you stupid? This is not an Orion VII V plus Orion’s are not articulated
