This song is just so pure and happy. It feels like nothing can go wrong when this is playing. I can't believe I am just getting around to playing this masterpiece now. Thanks to Nintendo for putting this on the SNES Online app.
"It feels like nothing can go wrong when this is playing". Cue screaming baby. Yoshi is a CHAMP for getting Mario through all those levels and putting up with all the baby screaming. The true MVP of the Mario verse.
this song is very meaningful for me: it reminds of when I was a child and I use to play this game to my friends house, then last year I had this song on a cd in the car and I listened to it after I broke up with my girlfriend so it makes me feel double nostalgic, especially when the song fades out. It's silly to associate such memories to a videogame song, but it's indeed a very beautiful soundtrack.
Dude, memories associated with video game songs are the best! You have no idea how much I associate emotions with the Geometry Dash soundtrack... What other songs do you associate certain memories with?
It reminds me of when I was a teen in the mid 2010’s and loved to research about classic games. And my ex was just my best friend and we had fun playing Yoshi games on the bus during our school trips. Simpler times
I remember going to my grandfather's house just to play this game with my cousins, it as a camp house so there was no car noises or anything, so it was a big silence, just our voices and the tv. The only game we had was this, but it was a very good game i wont regret playing. I only could hear this song when i was playing alone, i can even hear yoshi jumping or the moving platforms :D
This song has played in my head since I was a child and got this game. It has never left me and it never will. It is one of the greatest songs ever composed. Hail Yoshi.
So glad i got to grow up watching all these tech companies have to experiment and take risks for success. Now they are all so big they dont need to anymore. Really was a hotspot of creativity that we will not see again in the gaming industry.
i remember when i was young, my daycare strangely had both gba's and ds's and im glad that i got to play yoshis island back when i was young. It was back in 2016, and it helped revitalize my interest in the Nintendo DS. sadly though, i was not able to play yoshi's island, even when i had the knowledge of emulation, it just didnt feel right. but i was able to play it again in 2020 when my mom got the Nintendo Switch, and i was able to and complete the game.
I just found this baby, Wrapped up outside my door, A tasty little snack, For any dinosaur. But I just finished breakfast, I'm full up to my head, So I'll just pass to Yellow instead!
You know, he's sorta cute, the sweet little niblet He'll make a tasty stew don't wanna cook and serve up a kid but hey that's what Yoshis do He's all alone without a friend But he's taking it on chin Anyway, hey, Yellow I brought you some Din-Din You brought me a baby? How generous of you But I can't eat a bite I've caught the Yoshi flu- ACHOO Just pop him in your freezer I'm sure he'll keep for weeks But wash him first cause he freakin reeks I'm almost sad to see the kid go now We've gotten sorta tight Also his diaper's saggy and whoa now So is my appetite Maybe I'll keep here as a pet And not eat him after all Come on my little baby Let's have us a ball (Music) By now you know the story That happened long ago That little baby boy Grew into Mario The moral of this fable Is do not eat a baby Cause he'll become your friend one day Maybe. Bye-bye.
The comments that say "this makes you feel like nothing bad is going to happen and everything is going to be okay" must look like an hyperbole, but... Actually, I think it REALLY does. I don't know anything about music, but this just makes me feel better everytime i hear it. It's amazing how a song from an old game (What for some people may just be "sounds of a few bits sounding in poor quality") can make you feel inspired. I really admire this composer.
Everytime I got the feeling that the world is collapsing around me, that song is playing in loop in my head, like to prevent myself to collapse too. Thanks Nintendo music for helping me getting through hard times.

You just said what evo said but shorter

Best athletic theme in any Mario game. It's so catchy and memorable.
Creative Exercise Tho Cant Be Forgotten
True
I didn't even play this game a lot growing up, but I starting to realize Yoshi's Island might just be the best Nintendo game ever made.
Ever heard of little thing called “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask”?
Can’t decide whether SMW or this is the goat of 2D classic platformsrs.
Nice to see someone else saying it. Yoshi's Island is an untouchable work of art!
@@MercurialStatic Heard of "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest?"
@@Gavman_Gaming_09_79 oh man, can’t believe i didn’t include DKC 1&2 as well…that’s a little embarrassing lol
The happiest theme in gaming. How can you be sad listening to this?

Absolutely based song to play after a breakup

This is actual nostalgia. When you get that feeling like you just remembered a forgotten memory.
i’ve had this song on a loop for like the last five hours and i still haven’t gotten sick of it XD shit is pure magic
we're really fortunate that so many talented ppl were working on all these songs back in the day
Es increíble como la gente puede crear obras de arte que en un futuro crearán una nostalgia hermosa, gracias por esta pieza nintendo ❤️
This is probably my favorite from the game. Absolutely perfect!

Ugh...you hit me right in the childhood!
Such a feeling isn't it?
“I just found this baby, wrapped up outside my door”
“A tasty little snack, for any dinosaur”
“I’ll have myself a helping, and then I’ll have some more”
..just found out this is an actual song. Huh
I’m happy I was born to experience this great world in which Mario and Yoshi exist
Im happy to be a 90s kid,the best generation to be born!!
This song has played in my head since I was a child and got this game. It has never left me and it never will. It is one of the greatest songs ever composed. Hail Yoshi.
A happy yet emotional song 😢 childhood days reminiscing
the construction of the melody of this song reminds a lot of jazz and swing of the 30s, I can certainly imagine it being played by a hot jazz band
I think this is the happiest piece of music that ever played in a video game

You know, he's sorta cute, the sweet little niblet
He'll make a tasty stew
don't wanna cook and serve up a kid
but hey that's what Yoshis do
He's all alone without a friend
But he's taking it on chin
Anyway, hey, Yellow
I brought you some Din-Din
You brought me a baby?
How generous of you
But I can't eat a bite
I've caught the Yoshi flu- ACHOO
Just pop him in your freezer
I'm sure he'll keep for weeks
But wash him first cause
he freakin reeks
I'm almost sad to see the kid go now
We've gotten sorta tight
Also his diaper's saggy and whoa now
So is my appetite
Maybe I'll keep here as a pet
And not eat him after all
Come on my little baby
Let's have us a ball
(Music)
By now you know the story
That happened long ago
That little baby boy
Grew into Mario
The moral of this fable
Is do not eat a baby
Cause he'll become your friend one day
Maybe.
Bye-bye.

Am I the only one finding myself whistling this tune randomly? It's insanely catchy and something that stuck with me since childhood.
Man I loved this game so much, I played it with my dad so this music is pure nostalgia

This reminds me of old times ^__^
Rip for anyone who didn't find this
Such a good song
This music is so joyful! Why every SMB athletic theme is a banger?
Look out for the songwriter.
I'd always jump along to this music as I play. ^^
