    Keep this on youtube, for the ones that can't afford Knarrative, they may not get the full course meal (the meat), but they can still get the potatoes, and later, if they're still hungry, they'll go to Knarrative/Knubia for the full course meal

I have mentioned this TH-cam to so many people only to realize how close minded people are. THANK YOU MUCH MUCH BOSTON MASS.

    Once again thanks professor K.Hunter and Dr.G Carr we know that America has a selective memory they remember the things that they want to remember others they sweep under the rug. One of the worst mass killing of our people's East Slocum Texas 1910 worst than Rosewood worst than Tulsa Oklahoma and Springfield. The suppression of truths. As Dr. Carr says let's dance tell our history collective memory. Love you guys. Sankofor 🌍

    • @TheEncyclopediaBrown
      @TheEncyclopediaBrown 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Slocum, indeed. We mentioned that white violence in the context of other moments such as Greenwood when we discussed Tulsa at greater length a couple of years ago. Selective memory indeed!! Thank you for joining us!

    Gee Whiz! Did you know that Carla Thomas actually attended both TSU and Howard? I’d love to hear a follow up discussion about the rest of the documentary and your thoughts on the last few years of Stax, beginning with the Watts Stax event (which was a singularly beautiful day) until the demise of the company.
    I certainly would not say the stories of the beautiful melanated artists who brought us the beautiful music is “trash”.
    That’s the lens the director (a melanated woman) utilized. I actually think she was so reverent of the Black musical contributions that she didn’t ask the hard questions, or perhaps she intentionally left some parts out.
    I’d like to hear a return to this discussion After you’ve actually viewed all four parts of the documentary.

      Did not our ancestors have ancestors? And what exactly does beginning and anchoring and centering the past few years in the racial narratives and settler violence of the perpetually unsettled US state shape the way we view ourselves and move in a never-disconnected world? Thanks for taking a moment to comment. And grateful you’re in this space.
