In the hospital had a mild heart attack didn't even know it watching you video they relax me can't wait to get on the water soon having a Stent put in today
There may be snow on the ground but we all know if Matt was with you he'd be wearing flip-flops 🤙 Thanks for more great tips, I bought the TB Deep crank, waiting for the ice to melt here so I can try it
I have bin washing all the winter fishing and I have not bin able to get any fish her in washington state after are water dropped below 50 I've spent 100s of $ on the winter baits that you show and tried everything and still now fish
When I first saw the 2.5” hula grub I was excited and I instantly thought about the plain Keitech tungsten football jig for the jighead. I love hulla grubs on a swing head during summer. What are your thoughts?
On my lake here in ohio it's under ice , I've never tried ice fishing but say I was going to would you make a hole just randomly somewhere if no bites another hole somewhere and so on?
Ice fishing is a whole different game, man. And usually some sort of electronics/fish finders are used for ice fishing. But the equipment is completely different.
@andybales7318 good thinking...that makes sense I always hear the bass group up in the deep around dams , I never tried ice fishing tomm its gonna be like -10 out here , I'd like to try ice fishing for sure someday the real way with a shanny and all ...its on my bucket list for sure just seems like it might be a little boring as I can't use fast moving crankbaits and stuff like that ya know..sitting and waiting fishing is hard for me to do I like power fishing lol
Question on the A-rig: what if you need to go deep AND throw small baits? I tried throwing 3/8 +1/4 + 1/4 last March - too much weight for a MH cast. If I get a heavy casting rig, won't I bend out the little hooks?
Thanks, Tim. Always a wealth of knowledge. 2 questions: been using blade baits and heavy, small lipless baits vertically with some success (thanks to you) here on TN R. Do you include a snap when tying on blade baits or tie directly? I know some come equipped. Second, when vertically jigging small, heavy lipless, I frequently get fouled right away. I've gone up to 20 # fluoro, bit still having issues. Suggestions?
@ thank you so much for the reply. I have an opportunity to get a couple IGXs. I’m a firm believer in Megabass. Would you recommend buying? Have you had success on IGXs?
@@tacticalbassin Thank You so much! Love your videos. Moved to Florida recently and possibilities are endless now. I was able to catch some giants in GA thanks to you. TB underpins always for the win!
Reservoirs are the man made lakes. Highland and lowland are the two main types. Highland is characterized by deep, steep and rocky terrain typically. Picture canyon lakes. Lowlands tend to be less deep, less rock and usually have more than 1 dam since they are built in lower elevation basins. Of course there could be other man made impoundments, farm ponds, storm water reservoirs etc.

Dude, what hoodie are you wearing and where can I get it? I need a double XL.
At least you got open water

I'd start at a point on your body of water...or docks....grand lake st Mary's in ohio, the middle of the channels was always popular under the ice

When those lakes out west fill that fast how does it affect the fish?
Makes them upset, they have to relocate to another piece of structure.

Do you happen to know the difference between the karashi HT and the Karashi IGX? How do the fish? The IGX has a single feathered hook in the back.
The IGX is completely different (I motion) and not a bait that we fish with any regularity.
@ thank you so much for the reply. I have an opportunity to get a couple IGXs. I’m a firm believer in Megabass. Would you recommend buying? Have you had success on IGXs?
It's an effective bait, but it's not remotely in the same category as the standard Karashi. Two very different purposes.

Your snow looks like our sand, lol
I’d love to get out and try all this stuff out but my boat would have to be an ice breaker 🥶
What does a man made lake resemble? I always hear about highland and lowland reservoirs, river systems, but never about man made lakes.
In the past, they've mentioned it and said that man made lakes are more in line with a lowland reservoir. Hope this helps! Tight Lines!
