I think another reason Superman blew up was because The Warehouse with Superman was also the level in the demo disc from Pizza hut

I lived in San Francisco for a year and a half up until recently and the SF and Alcatraz levels in 4 are straight up surreal. Levels I played as a kid that I now recognize everything about from living in the location lol. It is an incredible experience

So...until today I thought I was awesome at THPS 2 after spending 800+ hours on it. Seeing now how a pro player plays this game and how little there is to match how I play it, I have come to the conclusion that I am just good at it, if not average...still it was a pleasure watching you play those games. Never seen a thps game where someone was explaining how to play the game I would just play the game but now seeing how it’s played and how to do it, it’s making me feel like I can do more tricks faster and beat it quicker 🤘🤘🤘👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Friends of mine recently started a THPS cover band. Every gig has been so much fun because everyone just knows all the songs. They place a large tv and a ps1 on stage, so people can just play thps while theyre playing. They're called Hony Tawk
I legitimately cried trying to beat the misty flip challenge back in the day. Once I figured out the trick to it, I felt so dumb.
played thps2 hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours...with music turned off, sound effects on, and mixtape after mixtape after mixtape...there are so many tracks i still immediately associate with thps2...LOVE
the menuing/skill point adding speed was insane

PC versions do look way better than PS versions. Used to play Tony Hawk 2 and 3 with keyboard :). THPS2 definitely is a masterpiece of a game. We all grinded the demo :).

Mine is 3 by default bc I love AFI, and discovered them thru the game right before they had their then-biggest hit, Girls Not Grey, leading me to buy the album, which still rules.
But 1 _does_ have Superman
For me 2 ! It had no skips at all.. but all 4 games are extremely good either way to listen to

Probably. The run was done at like 2 or 3 AM where the event was taking place at so I think a lot of people in person were probably trying to get some sleep

True, but the OG THPS is a relatively easy game to 100% if not the easiest of the 4 games

amazing stuff. question for those in the scene: why is the extra cruise ship level part of the run on 3 but skate heaven from 2 is not?
skate heaven doesn't have any goals associated (and also is unlocked only after completing every skater's career instead of just one). feels like a missed opportunity, to be honest. it is present in the 100% run where all gaps must be completed. a fitting finale for a grueling five hour run

Funny cause as a kid the n64 version of thps1 was what I played and superman was my favorite song but then in the past decade I started playing the ps1 version on emulators and it made new girl my favorite song lol
