V60 Pour Over Brew Guide

    Equipment
    • A V60
    • A kettle (a swan neck kettle works best, but a regular kettle will be just fine)
    • V60 filters
    • A mug
    • 20g of freshly ground coffee
    • Scales
    • 320ml of water
    Method
    1. Weigh out your coffee and grind if needed (you want fairly coarse grounds - they should resemble granulated sugar).
    2. Boil kettle and leave to cool for 30 secs.
    3. Place the filter in the dripper and pop it on your cup.
    4. Pour in a little hot water to flush away any papery taste. Discard the water that comes through.
    5. Add 20g of coffee for one-to-two servings.
    6. Pour some (around 50ml) of the hot water in a circular motion over the grounds and allow them to ‘bloom’. This will take about 30 secs.
    7. Pour over the rest of the water over a 2-2.5 min period.
    8. It should have all dripped through after about 3.5 mins.
