The controller buttons are appropriately clicky and the D-Pad is responsive. The Mode button works better as menu button than holding the Start button. Glad that Sega CD faux "loading times" was what was impressed the reviewer.
@@ioasisyumich xbox is a better emulator then your phone, got almost all consoles, u can put the games with wifi on your console, can connect all console controllers to your Xbox and even online server for console like dreamcast, ps2 for socom etc

Another note: the 6 button controller is fine, if you claim it is awful during a video review, you should actually try to show us how. For example: make a video comparison to the original or to the retrobit controller.
I'm not sure why Seth is ragging on the controller. It's the same as the six button controller that was sold separately when the first mini arrived. Also, Space Harrier 2 was never an arcade game. Virtua Racing not being the best way to play these days is a criticism you could say about every arcade port on the mini. Come on, you're in my age group. You should know these things.
Where is Eternal Champions CD? Sega, HEAR ME!! Make a SegaCD Mini with the entire library of 70 something games on it. SOLD!!! Sega fans WILL buy it out!
there is at least one comment like this litterally every time a mini console comes out. We know about high resulation emulators, we are retrogamers. This console is clearly not aimed at you, unless you want to use it as an expensive collectible.

It’s the nostalgia. If you lived in that time and had an original, having the mini console with the actual controller takes you back to that time. A pc or a emulator box won’t do this.
It's the quality of the emulation. If you look up comparisons on TH-cam between emulation and original hardware, the colors are muted, often the pixels are slightly stretched and there is input lag. M2 fixes all that.
Honestly, if you want to play these old games buy an old Sega Genesis for about 50 bucks and lay down some cash for an Everdrive. Playing on original hardware is the only way to travel.

its a cool nostalgic device, but for me id just buy a Genesis USB controller for PC and use an emulator at 4k 144fps

it's a nice cheap gift to give to a young kid to go play in their room. Perhaps it is an easy plug and play at parties as well.
