Yeah for finishing The Liveship Traders! It’s such an amazing series. As someone else confirmed, Crying in H Mart is narrated by the author, and her emotions add to the listening experience. I really loved the audiobook for The Only Good Indians. Stephen Graham Jones has a very distinct writing style, and I think it lends itself very well to audiobooks. Plus, the narrator is one I really enjoy.
I so wish we got more of the parables Butler was going to write before she passed. Rebecca and Wuthering Heights are favorite classics. And Only Good Indians had plenty of creepy moments; I enjoyed it. Things on my winter tbr: Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin, and a collection of Christmas stories just out by the British Library Women Writers series.
I've read 3 of these 😊 The Lisa Jewell one was a book club pick for us this year. It's so compulsive that you can't stop, but it does get a bit far fetched. Rebecca is absolutely incredible, I loved it so much (has an excellent audiobook). Crying in H mart is read by the author. I did a combo of reading and listening. Just to warn you it is incredibly sad. Little Women part 1 is really great. Some editions have part 2 in them as well, and I didn't think it was quite as good. I want to get to wuthering heights and the VE Schwab series, as I loved Addie La Rue. So excited for the live show!
I feel you about the hard covers. It's hard to lay in bed and read them. It's like trying to read a school textbook.

You’ve picked up a bunch of books I loved this season! Hope you get to Rebecca 🖤

Crying in H-Mart is narrator by the author. I loved how the author weaved her complicated relationship with her mother around food.
