Thanks! The cookies were amazing. I did get the Last Crumb team the podcast you can listen to how they developed the packaging and their feeling around sustainability. Check it out here: www.packagedesignunboxd.com/how-to-design-packaging-for-dtc-with-last-crumb-cookies-ep-50/

The shipper and primary box are great and sustainable, however I feel it is a bit over packaged for "cookies". Which are individually packaged, in what material? Thx Always for your videos!
There's a balance between overpackaged and setting consumer expectation of value. For $145 a dozen cookies consumers might feel ripped off if the box they came in was small and compact. The brand truly sells an experience from the day the cookies drop to when they arrive at your door it's pretty exciting. The cookies are individually packaged in store drop-off flexible films, but that's what's required for food contact. I do agree, it's a lot. We get into that conversation in the full episode. Thanks MJ!
Thanks Nathan, it took me a couple of weeks to eat though those cookies and didn't want to wait to post. I did however interview the design agency and the founder of Last Crumb and get into costs and recipes. The cookies were delicious. I think you're paying for packaging but also for marketing and hype. If you can build a brand around FOMO then people will pay the entrance fees just to be a part of something. From a design perspective, it was a great unboxing. Sorry for not sharing my thoughts on the cookies, I ate one every few days and this day was not one of them :)
I think the black box packaging was amazing to see, however, the word, "crumb" wasn't effectively communicating on the outside box like it's hard to see.
You didn't eat the cookies and let us know if they were worth the purchase. I was wanting to hear your reviews on each cookie and your assessment on if they were any good. You talk about the packaging and recycling...that sucked...
🤣The cookies were delicious. I ate them all, one a day for 2 weeks. They were all really good, but some were better than others for me personally. The Lava cookie was amazing, and the peanut butter was dope. Seriously wasn't a bad cookie in the bunch. My focus is on the packaging design and that side of it, not the product. But I'll keep your comment in mind for future food packaging to make sure I taste it and let you know if it's good. It's worth the purchase. Do it and let me know your favorite cookie.
The outside just a regular box? I need details looking to do same concept
The shipper was a regular box but inside had another box that was more special. When you want more details, what details? Happy to share.
Loved it!
Delicious!
Great unboxing. Did you ever get then on the podcast and any link to it?

I wish you would’ve said more about how much it would have cost to produce, how did the cookies taste, etc. just didn’t learn a lot

I hate to say it Evelio, but it looks like you pay for the packaging more than what was inside! 🥴 How were the cookies? I did enjoy the unboxing!

The word crumb purposefully crossed out for effect. Because you know it won't be your last.
