  • Mark Jackson remembers a Michael Jordan story from his rookie year. After being benched against the Chicago Bulls New York Knicks game, Mark Jackson got invited to Poker at Michael Jordan's hotel room. He stayed there all night doing his part to keep Jordan tired and awake. But after getting two hours of sleep, Jordan still put up 50 points on the Knicks and won the game.

      @frizzyrascal1493 - Jordan's 1.6 blocks/game is the highest per game rate of blocks of any guard for a full NBA season. That, plus the 3.2 steals, is probably why he was awarded the DOPY that season.

    • @ModernDayRenaissanceMan
      @ModernDayRenaissanceMan หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@blackurustrikes2328This is why there is no comparison to LeBron James. LeBron never got two steals and a block a game. Jordan was literally twice as good defensively.
      Offensively LeBron James scores the vast majority of his buckets within 5 ft of the basket. Jordan was able to have the same shooting percentage 15 ft away from the basket. Factoring in that they are both league average from 3, & Jordan was the superior free throw shooter I don't see all anybody can compare the two players. Jordan is in another stratosphere compared to LeBron James.
      LeBron James is nothing more than a stat compiler who had durability and played more years in the league who was able to use his 6'8" frame and relaxed defensive rules to bully a league that had no centers or rim protection for 20 years.

    In the 80s MJ introduced how the game will be played in the late 90s. In early 90s, MJ showed how NBA shall be played in the early 2000s. In the mid to late 90s, MJ showed the world how the NBA will be played in mid to late 2000s and up until early 2010s. Very tactical.
    MJ kept evolving from the 80s up to late 90s. That is why he was different.
