- I have three backpacks that I am sharing today. The first one I have used multiple times (it was my very first backpack) and that is my Deuter 60+10 backpack. I have my 40 L Durstan Kakwa which i have only used once and loved! And my 55 L Durstan Kakwa which just came in last month. I shared some of my thoughts on them and the differences that stood out to me. If you have questions or want more details on any of these backpacks, I’ll be more than happy to share what I can with you. I am going to go into more detail on my 55 L as I get closer to my departure date for the Appalachian Trail. Which will be announced at a later time.
Thanks for the info. There is a Kakwa 40 on marketplace, and because I am impatient, I was considering getting it instead of waiting on the 55. I, too, am on the AT, and don’t think 40L would work for me. So, thanks for helping me get level-headed and willing to wait on the 55 to get in stock.
Of course, if I was that levelheaded, I would’ve waited and gotten the 55 too but I jumped the gun and got the 40 first. Hope to see you on the AT.
i love it
Love my Kakwa!
Have you used it a lot?
Cool pack!
Thank you I really like it. I’m hoping I will continue to like it all the way through my AT hike.🙌😃
I use the Durston Xmid pro 2+ tent but still use the Lite AF packs because they beat all other packs hands down.
Thanks for the update. I have the old 40L version. Do you notice any upgrade on the hip belt thickness? It was kind of thin and not that comfortable when I carry over 25 lbs.
My apologies I thought I responded to this message. I haven’t noticed a difference in the hip belt, but it doesn’t seem to bother me.
It’s amazing how so many companies are copying the LiteAf packs.
Oh boy, doing a review and not even writing the name of the product right...and than twice....that doesn't promise much good.
🤷♀️ sorry. Probably wasn’t the best time to do that. Life had me pretty distracted at that time.
