Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Correction - transmission is a 10-speed, no idea why my mouth said 6-speed in this review. Lexus hasn't had a 6-speed performance offering in ages.

It is a 4 spd in the hybrid and the first three are being multiplied by the planetary gearset which emulates two more gears per each gear and the final forth is actually 10th gear...
The petrol version has one 10 spd auto ...
But why would they put 10 gears in this? I bet it can max out in 6th .. why the extra 4?
Because u can cruise at 125 mph in under 3k rpm
I believe Lexus uses those 4 extra gears in between the 6 regular ones to provide a smoother power delivery. At least it sounds like it.

BMW M3/M4 look like garbage compared to this car. The quality difference is insane. All you'll be getting is a faster car with lower quality materials and a shitty basic 3-series interior design, have fun with that boring ass car.

I LOVE a good V8... but NOTHING beats a V10 for sound. V10>inline 5>V8>everything else. Just my opinion...
5 cylinder engines sound like a blender. V10s either sounds like 2 inline 5s (two blenders) put together or they sound like a swarm of Amazonian mosquitoes with the zika virus. A traditional cross-plane V8 sounds beastly, like a lion roaring and growling. Just my opinion and the opinion of a zillion other car enthusiasts.

Don`t get me wrong I really like the sound of the naturally aspirated V8, but I think saying "long live the normally aspirated V8" is a bit ironic due to the fact that there won`t be many new cars in future, which don`t have turbo engines
Actually, with tighter emissions regulations and more real-world fuel economy testing, there will be fewer turbocharged engine in the future and more larger displacement engines.

I used to be a valet so I’ve basically been in almost every car and I’ve never been more impressed by any car than this. From the looks of it when it first pulled up to the interior quality, my jaw just dropped. Very underrated car and brand in general, not to mention the reassurance of reliability when beating on them

People seem to forget that this is not a sports car. Rather, its a GT with a hint of sport. The LcF will be the sports car.

Great review and love that you are setting a good example of conscientiously using your directional lights ("blinkers") as a courteous and safe driving practice. It's ridiculous and frustrating how so many drivers out there do not use their blinkers at all. It could also be that some drivers do not even know that there is a stalk that controls blinker lights and it is a free, standard feature in their vehicle. (eyeroll) LOL.

I purchased the LC500 in Liquid Platinum 9-8-18. It is beautiful, acts and sounds just like a race car, luxurious and very comfortable interior, is simple to handle, and can stop on a dime. I love the car and it's worth every penny.
The Mercedes SL does not hold a candle to the LC500.
Only one thing I would change on the car. The sun visors are not long enough to block the sun.

I saw this at our Honolulu car show earlier this year & it ignited my interest with its unique & beautiful design. Then I saw TH-cam videos & fell in love when the engine's ignition was turned on. Still was hesitant in paying $100K for a Lexus. Had 2 Lexuses prior b4 switching to Mercedes. Your video is great & has helped convinced me that this will be my "new toy". I am looking for a car that looks sexy, has pop, and has comfort. This is definitely not a boring car like my old LS, ES, and my wife's Mercedes S500.

I brought a 100 GRAND to a Lexus dealership thinking I'm going to get a LC500, but the salesperson turned me away and said "sir, that's a candy bar."

People who bought LEXUS LC 500 are indeed enviable. You must all have good jobs. Allows you to purchase LC500. At present, even though I am not strong enough to buy this car, I can only view the pictures or videos of LEXUS LC 500 within the scope of this club or TH-cam every day, enjoy it, and encourage myself to make progress. I hope to officially release my own LC 500 in the future.

9:14 It shifting into 3rd gear without you inputting it isn't weird, it's by design. In order to compensate for lower traction (the wheels were screeching when you took that corner) it shifted into 3rd gear in order to gain traction back.

The Lexus SC was it's own vehicle. The LC is not trying to be the next Supra. The new Supra will be out soon.

Ford has to tune it to not be as fast as there better model
The coyote is kind of downtuned from the factor. The 5.0 in the bullit is essentially the same but has 480hp.

It's a Lexus thing, I have a 2015 gs350 f-sport and of course it has nowhere near as much power as this, but if you turn off traction and put it in sport plus you spin out. 😂

Pretty sure if you put traction control off in any car and slam the gas it'll spin, I do it in my f150 😂
Mylqi Streams guarantee you that if you turn off traction in a Prius, you will not spin, you might not even get a chirp out the tire lol

I love my is300. Lexus was always 3rd place in terms of luxury and sport... until now. This car set the bar for Benz and bmw. All we want is a good looking classic v8. No more bullshit twin turbo v8s etc nice and simple.
The only Lexus that works with its space styling. The 2 door coupe tempers the trapezoidal lines.

I am wondering where you saw white stitching above the door handle from? That's real metal sculpted design flowing from the door to the dash. I have seen other reviews of this car and it's properly aligned. There's no white stitching above any door handle.
