This scene was so well done because it was acknowledging both facts. first was that Reese's incredible ability to blend into someone so bland that it is just named man in the suit. second, a vigilante being named "man in the suit".
This is a great mid season cliffhanger for an absolutely spectacular show. I loved the first 3 seasons before the Samaritan storyline but that was probably where they had to go. Jim Cavaziel was absolutely born to play John Reese...intense with vulnerbalr emotion bubbling just under the surface. And a great dry and sarcastic sense of humour to his character. The chemistry between him and Michael Emerson was great. They were definitely the lynch pin to the show. I am glad Jim Cavaziel got a boost in his career with this show. Hope he is doing more great stuff. Nothing but great fondness for this series.
*If the Samaritan storyline didnt happen, then the show would've grown stale.* They had to introduce something new, otherwise the show would've remained the same. Then we wouldn't have amazing episodes like If-Then-Else.
John Reese: I am not gonna make it Harold, sorry I screwed up. But I meant what I said yesterday, so thanks Harold, It was fun ! Harold: John... And the music begins...👌❤️
in the context of this show the machine would have been able to wipe all the data off of the phone, so maybe smashing the screen and such was just to buy time so it would take longer to see that the phone was blank?
@@zax2004 or may be, now i’m thinking it's just Harold being sweet and never telling John that it doesn't work that way. Why would he be trying to explain all this hard stuff? He just always wipe phone and then give John to smash it because he’s his friend, and John likes to crush things x))
Seem a little too quiet still, idk. It's hard because a non-silenced shot would be at least almost deafening so the contrast is hard to show, better than most shows tho.
@@jonnypanteloni if you tailor make a gun with rubber wipes and use sub-sonic rounds for the first 10 or so shoots it is like the movies but after that the rubber is spent and needs to be replaced.
Yeah lol I was thinking the same thing and they also have a photo in their hand of John. Even tho the photo isn't clear, you can still identify john by it

@@flightofoneI didn’t know this song was so highly regarded. It should be because I like it best of all of The Rolling Stones songs, but it only went to #61 in the US at the time. I’ve always thought that a song’s true merit is only realized after many years or decades after its initial release.
Jonathan Nolan and his wife created master piece. Only shame is that the did not keep same quality at the and of show. It was mainly because show was canceled and they did not have time to properly end it. Or at least i have this feeling.

Surely you mean the "fynch pin" ;~)
I think Nolan wanted Jim to play Batman but got over ruled and when he started working on this series he knew exactly who he wanted in the role.
The multiple "guys in a suit's" made me laugh so hard xD
John Reese: I am not gonna make it Harold, sorry I screwed up. But I meant what I said yesterday, so thanks Harold, It was fun !
Harold: John...
And the music begins...👌❤️
LOVE THIS SHOW!
This ending gave me goose bumps!
2:18 - 2:30 loved those parts you can hear how emotional Harold gets.
Ending song is "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. Love this, and love the music!
loved the ending, 4 men in a suit.....lol
So sad all game of thorne n pop culture fans wont ever know this serise
Such a great show. I need to go back now with all these teaser videos to remind myself of all the stories.
As much as they did their homework on a lot of things, they really acted like breaking the screen on a phone was enough to destroy the data on it
yeah...because how hard is remove memory card/sim card from smartphone xD - imho TV show/movie logic xD
@@danielkubin3878 Maybe ground it into the floor with his shoe next, crushing the sim card.

The only time in TV and movies that silenced pistols actually sound like silenced pistols

*Suppressed* and honestly no, it still sounded like Hollywood bullshit effects.
ending song : roling stones & lisa fischer - gimme shelter
If this is the original version, and it sounds like it to my old ears, then it's the Rolling Stones and Merry Clayton, actually.
Thanks bro
but John's style in getting handcuffed? 4:29 TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my most favorite episodes
This is the best show I've ever seen
Absolutely agree!
There not a moment with this guys when they let you take a breath
What a nice show! When the song started to play I was gonna cry but then they made me laugh :)

I know this is years late , but seriously, people had to search “ Gimme Shelter” ? Wow !
lol are we gonna forget about the part in season 1 finale where donelly spotted reese on camera and saw his face.
Yeah lol I was thinking the same thing and they also have a photo in their hand of John. Even tho the photo isn't clear, you can still identify john by it
Great cliffhanger! But they haven't found a way to get Reeese out yet
I founded the name of this song... is Mick jagger - Gimme Shelther
Does anyone know which episode was the scene where all dirty cops were arrested?
season 1 ep 23
do we understand how she gave him shelter?
They should have a reunion show where they rescue Shaw from where she was held captive .
Shaw escaped at the end.

Love Carter!
No. It's the Rolling stones's song
Mick Jagger is the lead singer of the Rolling Stones

Any luck on the music for the ending? it sounds like mick jaggar?
Seriously? The second greatest rock-n-roll song in history.
